3.5 tick version with celastrus bark: • 3.5 tick sandstone min...
need to use a rune pickaxe
it's technically very slightly worse than the old 3 tick sand method since you are not double rolling the success chance on half of the rocks on the left, but the success chance is still reliably high to make any real difference as you can see. you also don't lose any run energy. the rates in the vid are probably around 90k mining + 6k buckets of sand/hr

out of interest for tick manip in general; if you don't get the exp drop on third tick - do you wait for the action to complete, or carry on anyway?
does it mean you're out of cycle if you don't get the xp drop on the third tick?
1- knife log
2- wait
3- should be exp(?)

if you are 3t can you not use addy pickaxe? - for reference i have dpick too

Addy pickaxe won't work in 3 ticking the rocks on the left side since addy pick is 4 ticks. Rune is 3 ticks flat which makes it good for this method.
you could also use a dragon pick which is also 3 ticks (with a 1/6 chance of 2 ticking the rock) but I personally think the timing can be annoying.
