Replace Door Mirror on Mazda 6 2008 -2012

- Easy to replace the door mirror on Mazda 6 2008 to 2012. All you need is an 8mm spanner and a small flat heat screw driver for the socket on the wiring. This took me about 15 minutes and could easily be done faster.

I managed to not break any clips, but I did manage to lose the shorter smaller screw down the door panel.
Great video.
However, the nuts were 11mm for my 2009 USA model Mazda 6.
Thanks Gerry, for the video. Good tip. Nice that you didn't have to remove the inner door panel. removing it, would have probably broken 4 or 5 of those clips. I have similar experience with my VW. I was thinking that you should have used a magnet on your spanner for the last bolt, but being careful worked too.

Get a spray paint matte black and be sure it will bond to plastic .
Hi mate. Do you happen to know can I buy new wing mirrors and new drivers window panel in order to make my 6 have folded and heated mirrors as it doesn't have it originally? My concern is electrical connections and maybe programing because that will require dealer. Nice job by the way, definitely DIY.
I also broke the clip behind the speaker, do you know where I'd buy it or what yo search for?

Hi. Not sure but one thing to try is keep the L button pressed down while trying the mirror direction button. These buttons are known to fail. Good luck Cheers Gerry
Can you tell how to remove the back cover of the mirror without brake it pls!?
Gently prise it away from the top with a plastic trim removal tool. The clips are in the bottom. When putting it back, insert the clips at the bottom first and then gently press it home form the sides and top. Emphasis is on GENTLY.
