I remember watching a 4880 pulling a 4 shank subsoiler through the field, when it suddenly hesitated a bit, the ground shook, and then it kept right on going. It had hit and broke an old tree stump deep underground and barely even flinched. I can still see it in my mind's eye. :)
Jan Kotze Can the soil in the sand, such as the pressure on the tire lower the pressure can provide better grip? I think the tires are skating at 2:20.

I liked the 1080 the most. All these tractors should be pulling in high gear in that overly worked ground.
