    Polar skateboards are sick! I love their wider boards and they make them quite short, so you can still skate an 8.75 and have the nice crisp short flick

    I've been skating a similarly shaped deck that I made. Only difference is that the nose is very short, almost as short as a cruiser but still kicked up. I like that nose to tail taper👍👍

    I did the same thing with the winkowski shaped deck. I loved it so much I bought another one right after. That was a couple years ago now you can hardly find those

    Absolutely do a Lurpiv review when you get them. Living in Sweden I’ve definitely been considering getting them.
    I’ve got a Flip Mountain Crest 8.75” that feels like it might be roughly the same shape as that board. Only skated straight up popsicle shapes so I’m wondering how it’ll feel.

    I picked up some Bronsons for my small wheels and right out of the gate they’re pretty slow. I’m not sure what I got exactly but I was hoping they were better. My son has different Bronsons that are the fastest I’ve ever tried.
    It’s also weird that small wheels would work better for slappies. Always thought bigger wheels would ride over the bumps a lot more confidently. But I’ll keep trying it with my 52s and see if it’s better than my cloud 56s.

    • @ZackDowdy
      @ZackDowdy  Před 2 lety

      I always thoughts bigger wheels would help with slappys too! Now that I can do them a little better I've found the truck goes directly into the curb faster with the small wheels. I totally agree about Bronsons too, bit slow.

    • @robertborden2666
      @robertborden2666 Před 2 lety

      @@ZackDowdy I must find out what kind of Bronsons are in my son’s board (or hijack them 🤫). I see the guys at my street spot getting slappies all night long and they all have the small wheel setup and bash it up and then do some crazy variations the rest of the way. One guy just leans and lets chaos take over!

      $45 you say? They're at least €60 - €75 where i live 🤯
      Luckily i know someone with a deck company who sells blank decks for €110 for 5 decks (7.625 - 8.5) or screened decks for a bit more

      It's not cool I agree, I would argue however it did dominate one thing - a sense of satisfaction from the release of energy that wasn't coming out in tricks. But I'm with you, typically I'll never assault my skateboard.
