- This week Akela and I headed even farther north just in time to catch the beautiful weather in the mountains. We met up with a fellow van-lifer, soaked in hot springs, and spent time at a beautiful alpine lake.

We are Linnea and Akela. In May, 2020 I purchased our 2016 Ram ProMaster, Togo, to become our full-time home. With this van build, I am using my stubbornness and drive to show individuals that they, too, can convert a campervan BY THEMSELVES and ON A BUDGET, with a lot of learning, rolling up the sleeves, and getting to work.
Our goal is to inspire individuals to chase their dreams... to break from societal limitations and live the life they truly desire. And, to GET OUTSIDE!

As they say, dogs can sense good/bad n a person, and we all see how she felt about Alex, I couldn’t help but smile when Akela waited by Alex’s van till she came out, way to cute! Great little video, so beautiful. I couldn’t tell from the quick shot of the hammock, but here is a little tip for keeping warm in a hammock. Hammock Gear makes an under quilt that goes in the outside of the hammock and traps your body heat in to keep you warm. Just thought I would share. You and your dog are badass. Keep on adventuring

@@lavelledahl7672 not sure.. but the Beartooth mountains and Aksoraba mountains run right next to each other along the boulder River. That area will be one of the first places I head out as soon as I'm finished with my build is one of the most breathtaking places that I have ever been to in My Life and I've also enjoyed the Blue ridge and the Smoky mountains they were stunning to I can't wait to be on the road it's been a few years enjoying this gift called life like she's doing really have a lot of respect for her ✌️
I love watching your life. You are so inspirational and your dog is beautiful and great company. Seems things are safer over there. We couldn't do this alone in South Africa. It's wonderful to see you living your dream. My son and his wife do something similar in Austria but they don't actuality live in the van. They are able to take their business with them. On the road

You almost left your Laundry behind 🤣🤣🤣... that reminds me years ago I drove to town and felt like walking Home so I did and later that night I remembered I left my Car in town.
I've been by that hot spring along the Salmon River. Good thing you went early. Loved the video and always look forward to you and Akela's next adventure. You'll find a river with some trout eventually, just keep looking.

You can take the boat across Redfish lake to some epic hiking trails.
I love butter in my coffee…and a little salt. This looked like an amazing trip!

Salt I use a grinder with pink Himalayan and I give it between 8-10 turns. Butter I use about half a tbsp, but many people on Keto will give it a full tbsp.

I just found your channel! and subbed. I love fishing. For high mountain lake trout Just befor dark is the best time to catch trout on a fly. One of my best flies is a black ant! I have some thing patterned to time of year like some great crappie fishing late October were I average 800 crappie a day. With 1 out of ten being over 9 inched. I just finished the smallmouth bass spawn on the Columbia river (Oregon) my best day was 76 bass most were over two pounds. Also I fish for trout in the spring my best day is 82 al catch and release. Right now the shad are running in the Columbia River and the Willamette river in Oregon. I landed 8 in two hours last Tuesday. I have not kept a fish in years. I am in the middle of a van conversion. I am planning on a trip to Alaska for six months. Then travel western North America for 5 to 7 years. I have taken one 1200 mile road trip to Van Fest. Now I am back and hard at work on my van. I like your channel, you have very good content! I will be restating my CZcams channel once I'm on the road full time. If you would like to go fishing some time let me know. I took FnA Van Life fishing 3 miles from van fest on the day after the fest. They got four two pound bass from shore. Roger The ExBassGuide

I tried bullet proof coffee for a few weeks but I just can’t like coffee taste! But I also didn’t get hungry and was very alert!The coffee smell is great though!

You and Akela are so amazing adventurers! How do you find these hidden gem places to go to with a dog? You’ve mentioned in your other video that national parks are not first choice because of many dog-related restrictions.

Hey Linnea, what do you do with Akela when you need to spend several hours outside the van and she can't come with you? Like to the gym. If she stays in the van, what are your recommendations for her to stay calm? Gracias de avance ☺
i do alot of trout fishing with a pretty standard rod . i want to get into fly fishing. What rod and flys do you sugust for someone who is fairly new at the sport and something that isn't super expensive (I'm a broke college student hahaha)
