Add garlic and sauté to sweat the garlic. Add all the powdered spices, fenugreek leaves and blended tomatoes. Add the white and black chickpeas, water and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

In a separate pan, make a layer of chickpeas, cover with spinach leaves and cover spinach leaves with a layer of rice. Repeat this process to make another layer. Cover with a wet kitchen towel and drizzle little warm water and place the lid. Keep it on stove at minimum heat setting for 5-7 minutes to allow the flavours to mix in well with rice.
Make apple raita with by mixing all the ingredients together.
Remove the wet towel from the top of the biriyani and serve while its still hot with raita.
wow..will definitely try..love all the small tips u give
It's awesome 👌 chef!!
My hubby loved it so much that apple raita does give a lift to that wonderful biryani.
thanx for this recipe and it's great to see you uploading again .I can't wait to try this out
Great! So much more about technique rather than slavishly following a metric recipe. Inspiring. Thank you.
Love Biryani! Thanks for the receipe!
Wow, Atul!😍😍😍
I'm falling in love with your recipes 💖💖💖😘💘
Amazing recipes. Thank you so much. Tried Veg biriyani that you posted, and fallen in love with the taste of it.
Oh my god, this looks lovely... I will try this tomorrow.
This is so good!!! thank you
Great recipe Atul. It turned into an amazing dish when I tried today. Thanks for sharing ,🙏
Love this recipe...thank you.
Thank you so much for your channel. I'm going to be cooking vegetarian Indian food to celebrate this Thanksgiving holiday so I've come to the right place! This opens up a whole new universe of flavors to say the least. Thank you! Cheers!
good stuff. looks healthy
How come I missed all your videos !!!!?… love your infusions , been to Vishnu and Hawkyns….. great infusions…
Sir, first of all I am inspired by your journey. I am engineer by training but your videos has inspired me to do experiments (replicating your receipes) in kitchen. Keep us teaching. Jai Hind!!
It's different 😁👏👌👍
Indeed so Good!!!
2nd recipe of yours I have tried in 2 days, excellent
This is a lovely recipe chef! I love both chickpeas and spinach, so this is on my menu to make next week (if I can hold out that long ;) Thank you!
I love watching your channel. I have only tried the lamb an IKEA so far. This one looks amazing.
I notice in the 8 videos that I have watched that you don't use ghee. Is that a personal preference? I use it in a few recipes because it's got a great taste.
Thanks , it must be lovely
Dear Handsome chef , love all your recipes. Please do upload some unique veg recipes more. Thank you 🙏😊 in advance.
looks fantastic chef. such an easy method to make a vegetarian biriyani! i made one a few weeks back layering cauliflower and potatoes from your panchphor recipe. adding spinach is a great idea...may try with arugula!
Atul, Your numerous fans must be praying for the day when you will use up the full screen, instead of a mere third of it. Jum Shathe Poorr.
I just watched couple of your videos. I will definitely try out the very healthy chickpeas biriyani. All your recepes
Are awesome👌👌👏👍
Can not wait to return to your restaurant
Thank you so much! where do you get your spices from?
👍👍👍
Hi thanks for the great videos .
Can you use canned chickpeas and canned Kalachana
❤️
It would be nice to see the dish close up!
Can I substitute the black chickpeas with white? and what is a good substitution for the fenugreek leaves?
No substitute for fenugreek leaves. Its has unique aroma. But its an addon. Your dish would not be much affected without it.
Atul you did not explain after layer the bryani how high should be the flame and to put the bryani the rice should be 70% cooked at least and which rice should be used
OK, so read "casserole" for "biryani"? You served it like a casserole?
You said mango powder but that is not listed below
Nothing wasted
We’re the chickpeas boiled?
turn your phone landscape not portrait
Making it for Christmas for my super picky Indian partner. Hopefully he will be impressed Thanks!!
missing from the ingredient list: black cardamon and mango powder
6 cloves of garlic...omg will you marry me!! LOL :)
Can there be any less than 6 cloves in anything? 🤷🏻♂️❤️
typo in the recipe - 1 black CARDAMOM
Looked like 6 blended cherry tomatoes to me 😅
Chef- for cilantrophobes the issue is actually a genetic quirk. For the rest of us thankfully we can savour coriander.!!
Sir, ur video is using 1/3 of the screen.. it hurts the eyes
careful w the nonstick pan!
Very bad camera pure amateur camera is a turn off
You may have all the accolades as a chef however your video and audio needs a lot of improvement hence a thumbs down 👎 Coming on to a Public Platform and displaying your skills is a tough business.
Without ghee, rose water and screw pine water it's not biriyani at all....... And finally it's not biriyani if we don't use saffron in it
You can add all those ingredients to this recipe but I believe that they work best with a meat biriyani rather than a vegetarian one.
Yeah....
Please make a video so we can all critique you!
