    If i dont want the switch.
    We have 3 wires come through
    black
    blue
    white wire with a blue stripe
    Black mean ground
    Is that right if i cut the blue wire with the orange stripe on the clutch switch. One side connect with the blue, one side connect to the white wire with the blue stripe.
    The black (ground) connect to the yellow wire on the clutch switch

  • @jaivokid82
    @jaivokid82 Před 5 lety +1

    ok, what I understand is that you take the blue wire you connect to the 12 v of the clutch and from there you pass it to the swich, and the swich takes 12 v and a ground to activate or deactivate the rev limiter, is it correct?

    • @queso2561
      @queso2561  Před 2 lety +1

      Sorry I did not see this comment earlier but no that is not correct. You are almost there but you are combining both the clutch pedal and the switch and they need to be separated. Example the blue is correct you are going to connect that to the power side of the clutch if you want to use the clutch, but if you want to use the switch than you are not going to do anything with the clutch all wires are fed to the switch the blue wire and your own independent ground wire that you need to supply bc it does not come with the kit. Any 12 gauge wire will be fine. Connect both that blue and (your ground) to the switch and that’s all you need for it to work brother.

  • @1991tommygun
    @1991tommygun Před 4 lety

    So if I use a switch the blue and white wire is useless or do I still connect it to something

    • @queso2561
      @queso2561  Před rokem +1

      This really does depend on what year mustang you have. If you have a 2010 mustang gt like the one in this video than yes the blue and white wire is useless and does not need to be hooked up to anything.
      If you have a different year mustang than it might be required for you to use the blue and white wire, and if you use the blue and white wire than the solid blue wire becomes useless and does not need to be hooked up to anything.
      Basically MSD provided both wires for a variety of applications so your vehicle will only use one or the other not both.
      Hope this helps.

      Do NOT hook a two step to your brakes

    • @queso2561
      @queso2561  Před 2 lety

      Avoid using the brake pedal switch, not because it won’t work but bc that specific circuit was never ment to hold as much load as a two step will give off.
      Secondly automatic vehicles do not use two steps instead you guys use trans brakes. The reason being bc a clutch pedal can physically separate the flywheel from clutch allowing the engine to be in a neutral position not under load. You will need a trans brake to basically have the same effect in an auto vehicle.

    • @queso2561
      @queso2561  Před 2 lety

      You are entitled to your opinion but 18k views and almost 80 comments of nothing but love and support suggests otherwise.
      The 50/50 chance analogy is for the guys who don’t have access to wiring schematics. Logic says that if one of the two wires is what I need but I don’t know which one to choose from, then try the first wire if nothing happens then move over to the other wire you literally have a 50/50 chance of selecting right and then you have a 100% chance of knowing which wire to use if you selected wrong the first time.
      This video is targeted towards the guys that want to do it themselves and just need a little guidance to get it done. Hating on another man’s CZcams video when you literally have nothing to show on your own channel is laughable. 🤡🤡
