    I’ve noticed the stock turbo loses power at high revs maybe around 5k rpm. When or where does the max speed hits its limit? Does it keep boost at High RPMs?
    Thanks in advance.

      About the same, after 5k boost starts to drop off. I've been told it's due to the small wastegate opening.

      yes its due to small wastegate, just think about it, the gate at the higher rpms hasnt got enough space to allow the bigger and faster volume of air to escape so it will take the path of least resistance. porting the gate out will helpt eleviate this.
      ive just picked up the max t04e internal gate turbo with the 3 inch compressor inlet to replace my Garrett t28 stage 3 hyrbid rated for 420ish horse. looking forward to having a turbo that wont leak oil and water from the core.

    Yo
    Just oberflew your video. Sisnt know if u mentioned it.
    Can i get away with that turbo without a tune? Or does i 100% need a tune?
    (CurrentlY running stock tuebi with boost controler on 0.65bar) Working good ao far.

      A tune will always be the best route but our car still isn't tuned and it's running just fine at low boost 10psi. It's only upwards of 15 psi that you can start noticing a lack of fuel so a tune will be neccessary as well as upgrading the fuel system.

    ah buying a 30/100K skyline and putting a $100 turbo..why...

    • @Garage23
      @Garage23  Před měsícem +1

      Because this one isn’t going to fall apart at 14 psi like the stock one did, also upgrading to a larger more expensive turbo would entail thousands more in fuel system, engine management, and other supporting mods that we just aren’t ready for yet.

    Can I correct your comment on A/R Ratios... ok so you said its possible to have a 1.5 or whatever but that's incorrect, max is 1 and no turbos even hit that, the reason is because if you have a larger housing diameter compared to the turbo diameter, if it hits or exceeds 1 you actually will lose all boost.

    • @calebplaysgamesofficial
      @calebplaysgamesofficial Před 5 měsíci

      Let me clarify, some diesels have 1.05 but generally thats cause they are compound turbos or low boost applicatione or its a small turbo on an oversized engine

      I think you are thinking of turbo trim, it's a ratio between the inducer and exducer so trim can't exceed 1.00 ( inducer same size as exducer) but there are plenty of exhaust housings that are over 1.00. A/R
