Reason this doesn’t come off is simple.the microphone is too load,the backing track is too quiet and there is no sound from audience. So kinda comes off as a soulless performance. It’s simply the sound we are listening too is just badly mixed. As vocally think he’s got a great young voice.

I really Like this guy, I find him very genuine, real and not afraid presenting his authentic self ,he also has an amazing voice, unfortunately for me, and maybe its just this video, but I feel little to no energy in this or the crowd for that matter, it just seems something is off. I'm just not feeling it, but I really like Ronan, I think he is an amazing person. I hope this is taken as nothing more than constructive criticism I hope

He is very talented and I saw his performances on BGT. Amazing vocals he has but his voice has changed since then but is still good.

As much as I like Ronan Parke I kinda agree with your comment. He has talent for sure, but he has changed so much, and not that being gay matter, cause it doesn’t but it seems to have changed his performance level.
I'm afraid I have to agree. I think one of his best performances after having won BGT was 'Defined'. His voice is still not bad, but I'm afraid it's not good enough to be a 'star' outside the gay scene. He probably realised that himself and thought: "OK, better that then nothing." Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against it (being gay myself, that would be kind of ridiculous), it's just that I'm sorry he - apparently - isn't good enough to get beyond that.

I remember when i see he for the first time, he it was just a kid and everyboody said "... He become gay..." and i say, " no way ! Is just i kid !.." So, they be alright and I be wrong ! Sadly !
Actually he was quite open at 12 about being gay, his family was totally on board with it, he got a lot of mistreatment after he started his career.
