She always seems so excited about this stuff. That is good way to teach cuz it gets me excited too, and makes want to keep watching!
And she has a very good diction. This is important for me, because I do not understand English well
Thanks!
soo true
I’m passionate about History and historical figures. I get excited too.
That's really cool. Must be amazing getting up close and personal with the crazy collections in these museums.
It was SO cool! Also the curators made it really special, they're so passionate about it all, it would be impossible not to get excited!
Loved this ! You're so lucky Maddie ! :D
I was pretty nervous to hold some of the pieces!
Would be great to see something on the often forgotten Alfred Russell Wallace!!!
this video was so much FUN
how come I never heard this stuff about Darwin!
you love animals, you go collect a bunch, you look at your collection, and you figure out evolution!
what a dream
Que Dableyou what a lie
Killing them to collect them? Yeah what a super naturalist
David Attenborough is the greatest living naturalist
H4WK69 and he has an amazing voice.
The Universe Educational Documentary
?????
He is the 20th-21st century Charles Darwin.
🤣 Nope
that is absolutely stunning
I think you meant "She" ;D. But yeah, it's amazing how all those personal artifacts of the legend himself are still so well preserved. It's almost like he just delivered them a few years ago.
darkprinslau yesterday actually not few years away
And who’s she ?
The Devil
The lady in the video
Not generally a fan of bugs but even I can appreciate that collection
well explaned video maddie
Thanks :-)
When are they going to publish a catalog of Darwin's collections. I'd love a set.
I love her videos
We have literally just started studying this in GCSE biology so this was very very helpful and very interesting!!
Great stuff! Wish I'd studied more Darwin in school!
Maddie Moate it's really interesting and I'm loving it!!
Dr. Darwin was also a demilitarized commander. A legitimate legend.
Farce degree, the creep wasn’t a Dr let alone having a PHD of any sort.
Great video, thank you!
Make a Video on Alfred Wallace, please!
I share your enthusiasm. It is wonderful that I can travel with you to such exotic places that I would otherwise never experience.
Maddie, never stop presenting.
haha ok!

She is an actual scientist 👩🔬 I watched maddie moate since I was 3 but know I am 9 I love ❤️ her
Very interesting!
The reporting is just wow!
According to MytrueancestryDNA, I am also related to Charles Darwin (R1b). I am going to guess that this a Celtic or Pict or Welch or Scottish or Irish or Anglo-Saxon relative (s). I am 3% Anglo-Saxon.
Wow
John Turner hey thats pretty cool
Lorica Lass how olds the earth?
Darwin taught us about beetles, Lennon taught us about beatles. Amazing, mysterious universe!!!!
does anyone know where this nice jacket is from, that she's wearing? :>
kiimmiekim Goldie London, I think. Source: shortgirl-longjacket.com/jellyfish/
Yep this is the one, I got it absolutely ages ago though!
For a second opinion watch Total Onslaught by Walter Vieth a geologist professor and or The Genesis Conflict CZcams it
Will his father’s assertions about the nature ever be credited? Charles expanded and published his father‘s theory.
I am very surprised that one of the interviewees repeats that incorrect story that Darwin was only a "gentleman companion" for FitzRoy. In fact, after Jenyns and the other man turned down the voyage due to family commitments, they recommended Darwin AS A SCIENTIST. In one letter, it was also noted that he was quite affable. If anyone would bother to read the actual letters that led to his being selected, this would be more than obvious. You can find them in Keynes's "Fossils, Finches, and Fuegians," which is basically annotated historical records.
Did they ever get to the bottom of whether Darwin stole from Alfred Wallace? Last time I showed an interest people were saying that Wallace was the true father of the theory of evolution.
He didn't. Darwin was extremely secretive and cautious about his work and Alfred Russell Wallace was less secretive and a bit more of a risk taker. Basically what happened was that they developed the theory independently. Darwin taken decades to get his proof together and Wallace taking a few years. Wallace sent drafts to a number of people for their opinion, one of whom was Darwin who instantly noted the similarity to his own work. They ended up working out a compromise where they basically both claimed joint credit for it but over the years Darwin became more well known thanks to 'On the Origin of Species' and the 'Descent of Man' whereas Wallace, who was much more impoverished, was looked down upon in late Victorian society as he had to sell specimens, especially Birds of Paradise, to fund his research. It should also be noted that Darwin's theory was a bit more complete than Wallace's as he'd had considerably more time to formulate it.
A few years ago they finally put a painting of Wallace up next to the statue/bust (I'm not sure what is exactly) of Darwin in the Natural History Museum. So their basically co-creators of it. People are right to point out Wallace's contribution but they shouldn't downplay Darwin's role in all of it. Having two respected naturalists come to the same conclusion
James Burtton thanks for the comprehensive reply.
No problem. There's a really good documentary on Wallace "Bill Bailey's Jungle Hero". I highly recommend it.
James Burtton, you basically repeat the same fabricated story that we've been told all along, but you probably haven't stop for a moment and think, how is it possible for a Darwin to not publish for 20 years?! But before you repeat the fabricated reasons, think about what's been kept for 20 years! You should also ask yourself, what would money do for you in those days? Was Darwin a naturalist in the first place? Or was he just a domestic breeder, just like the 100s of others in his time!
+James Burtton And if you've got some time to kill, "Song of the Dodo" by David Quammen gives a really good account of Wallace's career and his exchanges with Darwin.
"Gentleman Companion." Hmm... Brokeback Beagle?

Nice truth of darwin
What exactly are barnacles ???
Barnacles are invertebrates, crustaceans which (usually) cement themselves to rocks, piles, boat hulls or other structures regularly immersed in the sea and eat minute animals in the seawater which pass by. Pretty much they look like a lump.

Welcome, please help me explain the origins of life .I will talk about the emergence of single cell objects . Please explain the phases of the (first cell) .These are compounds in the same cell
1-amino acids
2-peptides
3 - chains of nucleic acids
4-nucleotides
.Question Who is the former? Is it amino acids or nucleotides? .The second question is who is the former Are they nucleic acids or peptides? .There are contradictions in the stages of the components of life .We ask you to develop explanations for the origin of life .We ask you to develop explanations free of contradictions .Please send me my letter to biologists and chemistry
You need a more robust scientific venue from which to learn than CZcams.
Darwin hated birds.
Lamarck all the way.
What luck you get to hold a finch without questioning how long it developed without asking how long and how it survived while adapting or why this eronious idea led to eugenics and racism, how lucky you are
Darwin was an amazing man
And a racist 😤🖕🏽
mocc9 cuttlass everything is racist to you crybabies 🤣🖕
@@dudeman7826 STFU you racist too that's why you're defending him clown
@@dudeman7826 🖕🏽💪🏾
mocc9 cuttlass cry harder race baiter🖕
Presenter is distractingly cute. Fascinating topic.
And he ate every species he discovered..
And his Freemason dad and gramps funded all his expeditions, yippee how fun lol pretty sure they had reasons and hopes for their boy..
People are just asleep bro. Their is a a being that lives amongst us but are unseen to the human eye when they choose to be seen they shape shift into a human or reptiles/dogs and many others. But their true from is made out of fire 🔥. Darwin and his people had communication with the devil thrue magic and the devil inspired him because he wants mankind to forget that God exists. Agenda after Agenda. Make sure you teach your kids homeschool because the greatest of scientists are atheist.
BTW, "Darwin and the Barnacle" is a great book.
Lol i've been to lectures in the building opposite that one!
Maddie is just stunning. Very stunning.
Now the theory of evolution is appearing to be incorrect lol
How
So birds with different foods to seek, had different beaks.
It's true! Birds of the same species had different beaks depending where they lived on the islands.
Darwin gave short shrift to finches in his Origin of Species and barely mentioned them in his journals. The term "Darwin's finches" was first applied by Percy Lowe in 1936, and popularized in 1947 by David Lack in his book Darwin's Finches (Wikipedia, Darwin's Finches). The finches evolved from . . . other finches, and they evolved into . . . other finches, and they stayed finches within the tanagers family, although this particular classification is debated. Nonetheless, this is not much if any evidence of molecules to man stuff. All of the finches could interbreed when they were reintroduced to each other, and the varieties of finches on the different islands with some having larger beaks, some having smaller beaks, etc. is nothing more than we find in the different varieties of dogs, some with longer snouts, some with small pug snouts, some tall, some short. etc., but all dogs. Same with the much vaunted finches, no really new novel apparatus in anatomy, no remarkably different type of animal.
Charles Darwin is actually my great-great cousin he was born in 1809 and died in 1882
Why do you guys always forget the add the whole title of the book??? Is it because it proves he was a racist?
Chris A For one thing, it's a long title, no surprise it's shortened when referred to.
Also, "Race" in biology - especially during Victorian times,- did not have the same meaning as "race" does in common parlance today. In biological terms, a race is what you might call a sub-group or variety today. That isn't racist by any stretch. In fact, Charles Darwin did not address human evolution in the Origin of Species.
When he was referring to "races" of anything, he was referring to sub groups or varieties of living things. He could as easily said "favored organisms" or "favored varieties", though I am fairly sure that term (organisms) was not in use at the time.
He wrote Origin over 150 years ago, consider the world that it was written in before you judge so harshly. And BTW, you might try reading the book. Mr. Darwin explains very clearly what was meant by "race" in his book.
Correct me if I'm wrong but Darwin's theory haven't improved yet or??
I know micro evolution is true but I still haven't seen or heard any proof for the big evolution yet...
Eilif goat Bitsch They both work on the same mechanism, the only difference is the amount of time they take.
007MrYang but it's this a theory right? As in not proven...?
A scientific theory is different than what most people mean when they say theory. When most people (non-scientists) say "it's just a theory" they are usually referring to a guess or maybe a hypothesis. However, scientific theory is an explanation of certain facts or phenomena that is supported by experiment and observation. This explanation can change as we obtain more facts. The germ theory of disease is also a scientific theory.
We can' t 100% prove anything in science, we just attain a reasonable amount of certainty depending on the available evidence. The only thing that has proofs is math.
Yes, it's just a theory sounds good but do some investigation and it falls apart. Most scientists are afraid to say that Darwin's theory is just his imagination because they would be frowned upon.
If it is true that science cannot 100% prove anything then a lot of scientists should be out of work.
catching little animals, breaking fragile things and putting things into his mouth that should definitely not be in your mouth... darwin kinda sounds like a little child to me
Lorica Lass let me ask you something, do you merely want to feel smarter than anyone else by pretending to have all the answers, or are you one of those people who is terrified of the idea that there is no higher power that cares about us? The idea that life might not have any meaning after all and that humanity is utterly insignificant considering we are nothing but a small part of an eco system of a planet in a galaxy surrounded by billions of other planets just like it, in a universe surrounded by trillions of other galaxies each with a similar amount of planets.
I mean if you want to spout nonsense at strangers on the internet then knock yourself out, but consider that you sound about as reasonable as the "the moon landing was a hoax", "chemtrails control our minds" and "Jewish lizard people run the government" conspiracy theorists
Mate. This is a typical religious approach. This person just passed the same dribble all over CZcams. She or he has already pasted in several places just for this video. Unfortunately, this is how dishonest and threatened people operate.
He Was a poacher and should of been arrested
Jesus loves you regardless of your past.
Dude fuck off keep your religion to yourself.
If only there was a jesus to magically form the whole world and life in 6 days according to the bibble
Interestingly Darwin was not qualified in any field, he just used other people work, and ridiculously he's considered authentic and authoritative.
Tell us who he took his barnacles work from.
If we study anything it must remain a general knowledge and enjoy it but it must not become our Faith as is the case with Darwin theory. The Real Truth Must Be Followed That Is The True Religion Islam
Well you see it here, Kamran post on You tube so it most be right.
Its not really a theory anymore theres plenty of evidence that proves evolution
More like the man behind THE LIE...
His theory is proved by now
He was a lier, that's all...
C'mon now. 150 years of verification through the scientific method makes this the most studied and robust theory in science. If you must express your believe in magic you have churches for that.
A terrible liar at that
He would have being a liar if god agically formed life and world in 6 days 😂😂
He also believed he was of a superior race.
Exactly!
I don't know his thinking on all things but of the times he use the words favored races not superior race. (as in the book origin of the species) He was saying the ones that are alive such as all people in Africa and Asia and all the apes and the ants ext... as opposed to the ones that went extinct were favored by natural selection and not that white people were better than others. If you had read the book (and it not that big) you'ed know this.
He was a racist also they forgot to mention that part🤷🏾♂️💪🏾😤
So is god apparently.
He wasnt racist. God theory doest mach...thats it
And?
Thoery not real peoples following
...huh?
Theory is real....you must have some brain power to understand
I give this video thumbs down
Billie Smothers I give this comment a thumbs up
