Super Mario 3d World is my favourite video game of all time. It's an underrated masterpiece, love the soundtrack, levels and most things about it.

I love the way how they incorporated new gimmicks that made the game interesting while maintaining the overall traditional, familiar structures of the Mario games. It is such a underrated masterpiece and everyone who love Nintendo games must play it.

As an early 80s born guy, I have over the past couple days been on a Mario Nostalgia Tour for several hours on CZcams, Facebook, and other media... Until this day in December 2022, I had never played or even seen any videos of this game played, though I had heard of it for several years now... I quickly forward to the 4 minute and then the 8 minute mark of this game... This game is JUST INCREDIBLE... This game is just amazing... I have got to get it for the kids...

Not underrated. I heard several pieces of the soundtrack such as Conkdor Canyon and Bowser's Lava Lake Keep in things like Minecraft Videos. I don't know if its the editors picking random music, but this game is not underrated.

@@higgins1773 Yeah that happened with our WiiU. Literally the thing sits in my brothers room ALL. THE. TIME. We don’t know what they did to it, But we only had it for probably 2 or 3 years, it was acting pretty odd anyways. But the blame was put on my brothers because they obviously did something to it. Man that game was my favorit game too and they lost the disc and broke the WiiU. My dad was MAD.

I really loved 3D world, one of my all time favorite Mario games
I vividly remember playing this game with my brother for six hours. We beat it so many times I remember all these cut scenes.
Same, that was a while ago for me. I very much miss playing all the Mario games with him. This was my favourite one. We had the best times playing together.
I love how this game uses the OG/classic Mario mechanics -- shrinking, semi-permanent/non-timed power ups, and you get to adventure with your friends and family again!
I hope we get a sequel featuring Wart's return and the gang travels back to Subcon (SMB 2 mechanics - no timer, vegetable-throwing, Red Doors leading to temporary alternate dimensions, Phantos chasing whoever holds the key, etc.)
I can't believe this game is going to be 10 years old in a few months.. Time moves so fast without you even realizing.

As being someone who 100% Super Mario 3d world on the Wii U, i know that this took some practise, mostly because you have to get all 380 green stars, 85 stamps, playing all levels as all characters and completing them, and getting all gold flag poles, was my personal hell, but the true challenge is GOD DAMN CHAMPIONS ROAD, so watching this video brings back memories, Thank you.
Managed to play this in early 2021, alongside Bowser's Fury- just in time to enjoy the references seen in the film. :)
Other than maybe Mario Bros 3 on NES i really think this is the best Mario platformer game ever made. Its the perfect balance of the original trilogy and the newer open 3d games. Linear but open. Way better controls than most other mario games and perfect co-op. Tons of different types of challenges. How have these people at nintendo not made a sequel to this?

Back in 1991, when I was playing SMB 3 as a 10 year old, it never crossed my mind that it would become the inspiration for such a spectacular Mario game.
How would a 10 year old you, know that in the future we would have technology to make such a spectacular game? Old school gamer here but never had the Wii put off getting the Switch until it went OLED. Recently discovered this one. Hey, better late than never. Even though it was originally released a decade ago, this is still a truly phenomenal game. Being able to take it wherever you go is just awesome. A game more than worthy of the Super Mario name (can't say the same thing for every game that ever had that title on the cover).
Just copped the 3ds and this with a couple more games brings back memories good games on the go💯

I never played this game but it seems interesting especially the graphics. The graphics are SO GOOD even for a game that is 8 years old
So, here's what I'm thinking (a.k.a How I Would Make 3D World):
1) Rosie being playable right off of the bat, so that you can play as all 5 characters at once.
2) Mario going into the pipe first, followed by Luigi, then Toad, then Rosie, then Peach.
3) The counterparts of Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad being playable characters. (Wario, Waluigi, Daisy, and Toadette)
4) every character having easy controls like Mario, high-jumps like Luigi, Peach's float ability, Toad's fast running speed, and Rosie's spin attack.
5) the White Tanooki Suit being available for Champion's Road.

This game is an absolute 10/10 masterpiece. The only issue was that the timer was archaic by the time this game came out, but that's just a nitpick and never really affected gameplay (excluding the speed timer challenges of course).

This is my favorite mario game EVER! I started playing it at 5 years old, and still play it to this day! I love the overall art style, the graphics are, just, 👌SO GOOD!! You can play with up to 4 players, and it’s SUPER fun to play with friends! I used to play this game on Wii U, but now that it’s on the switch, you can play it pretty much wherever you want! Best Mario game in HISTORY!

You're right, always the same story, the only time Peach was playable as the protagonist, was in her game, and that's disappointing
