    Idk if it's ever been mentioned. But you should look into trying like a sand sifter, like you'd use at the beach, on the silica. Like put that at the bottom then the silica. That way when you go to grab the flowers, all you have to do is grab that and soft them out. Less possible breakage?

    • @arin6479
      @arin6479 Před 3 lety +5

I took some of the flowers from the arrangements to try and press them for me and other friends. Some how I found your video an totally got inspired. I purchased some resin and a silicone heart shape cupcake mold. i hope these flowers work so I can give them to some of her other close friends.I did try the microwave drying and it was okay until I saw the 3d peony today. Well you guessed it, tomorrow back to hobby lobby for the silica gel. They had it marked down too. If these come out beautiful,I have you to thank and I'm sure my friends will be so grateful to receive a beautiful memorabilia of our friend. TY and many Blessings!

    SO cool!!! I just wanted to say that your videos make me smile EVERY time. You’re so sweet, so real and just so wonderfully optimistic, even when things don’t work out quite like you’d thought they would. When my resin projects don’t work, it drives me bananas and I stand there swearing at it, lol. You just shrug it off, laugh and use it as a learning experience and try to get it next time.
    I’m 52 years old, and young lady - you’re teaching me some pretty awesome lessons. Please don’t ever be anything but your truest self. ❤️

    I am over the moon in love with how you dry the flowers and preserve them in resin. you are an amazing artist. I was watching a video from last year that Laura from Garden Answer did on using silica gel to dry her flowers. Then I noticed you. and I can't wait to try this with some of the flowers I grew in my cut flower garden.

    Hello from Dallas. So, I’m all set to binge watch tonight. My husband goes to bed about 9:00. It gives me a couple of hours to myself. The dogs sleep on my lap and stay quiet. Got some Green Apple vodka. I’m all set for ya Madwoman!
