I do not understand why people talk to advertise their ignorance. Sean, who told you Togo is duty free? Have you ever cleared goods at Togo port or Ghana port?
We pay duties at Togo port but less than Ghana. Even when you import through Togo, we pay duties at port of entry between Ghana and Togo. We go to Togo for goods because the cedis has high value than Togo CFA so we could easily import from Togo and sell at higher prices in Ghana.
It is like someone from US importing thing from Ghana. Due to differences in the value of the currency we can import from Ghana easily and sell it higher in US
