Pile 3 here. That is absolutely resonating with. When I was in my late 20's I was an alcoholic. I was not physically violent, but I did emotionally impact those who cared about me. I didn't know it back then though. Fast forward to current time, I have been sober for 18 years now. I look back on that past now and realize that no one could have helped me. I had to go through that dark past on my own. It sucked and it was painful, but I had to experience that. I'm the man that I am today because of that past.
I would also like to add that I did a reading on myself earlier and one of the messages advised me to start confiding more and sharing my experience.
