Great video, hopefully it helps someone out there who wants to make this work. It's amazing in 2022 we still need to setup "voice profiles" and think so much to do this right....reminds me of Dragon Naturally Speaking from 1998. Generally people don't care to take the time to set these things up, they just want them to work.

How is a computer meant to automatically know what a users voice sounds like when the user is in a random meeting room without opting in / setting up ?

thanks for doing this. nobody else that i can find has done this. unfortunately, it confirms that i did set the policy correctly, and the recognition tab still isnt showing after i set this last week. is there a specific additional license or something i need to have?

Are you using a Teams Rooms Standard or Premium license? Eventually Premium will be a requirement, but the Standard works for now.

Hi Josh, Nice Video, recommended to me by someone. Here in PowerShell command i'm getting error and unable to run the commands, what could be the reason. ERROR while running Cs command is : set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy : The term 'set-CsTeamsMeetingPolicy' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or
operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.

Did you install the Teams module in Powershell?
      Install-Module MicrosoftTeams
      Then import:
      Import-Module MicrosoftTeams
      Then connect:
      Connect-MicrosoftTeams
      Try the commandline again

And one another, its casesensitive. You have to write "Set" and not "set", hope this works now 🙏🏾

    This is great!
I'm trying to find a solution for my work but we have two concerns:
1 - can we integrate this with external mics? Like does any of these Intelligent Speaker devices have audio input options?
2 - 3rd party callers, this system we are going for will entail a lot of people that will be calling in for the first time that won't be using teams but instead calling in via traditional phone lines.
If anyone has input on either of these, that would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks for watching!
First, no, these speakers are designed to be daisy-chained, or to have external mics plugged in; they rely on the built-in mics.
Second, people can still dial in to the meetings without issue. However, the identification and attribution is only done on the in-room participants.

What happens if someone in the room does not have a voice profile?
