This is one of the best Top 10 Semi-finalists...except for two contestants..India and Canada..They are out of place...I don't know what they're doing in that Top 10.. But my Top 5 are Russia, Cyprus, South Africa, Germany and Venezuela.
I think undeserved candidate was germany , she was a plastic beauty , she has undergone lots of surgeries , india was a well deserved candidate
Russia was one face to remember for ever; her performance in evening gown, unforgettable..maybe the best of all times; can u mesure her elegance and glamour at this point? She could even define the concept of being chic and inspirational as a beauty queen without the stigma of dumbness they use to prejudge..I mean, look at her, and u'll find a timeless beauty and a woman who projects herself as smart & independent..that was what judges saw..don't u think?
then again having all those atributes did not help her finish her reign. she did not like the job and left for moscow for good. not the type of person you or I would hire for a job. beautiful and irresponsable is not a goos combination to participate in a beauty pageant.

Este fue el último año en que clasificaba India consecutivamente y posteriormente su caída del top ya no clasificaba .....ahora está pasando con Filipinas y varios países asiáticos....que francamente no lo merecen....
Russia siempre fue la favorita de los puertorriqueños ya qe sabían que era MEGA imposible que la boricua pasara al top 10.

En esos momentos el pais potencia era india ya que iba 10 años seguidos clasificando y no lo dejaban fuera por ranking como en estos momentos es filipinas en esos tiempos rezábamos para que india no clasificara y ahora rezamos para que filipinas no clasifique
ese año la representante de alemania, que tiene doble nacionalidad,participo en el miss venezuela,no recuerdo si clasifico,pero entre las diez semifinalistas del miss universo 2002 habian DOS VENEZOLANAS!!!..es perfectamente legal tener doble nacionalidad y competir en los concursos nacionales.

Russia was the winner from the get-go. Miss Cyprus is beautiful, I was rooting for her to make the top 5! I was shocked when they left the beautiful Miss Colombia out of contention. :(
