We have used the czcams.com/users/postUgkxOTeIs0vv4_9B5hsmnLsk9r930uDQLu_Y for probably 30 hours with our camper and it’s been great! The noise level is really only noticeable when running the AC and other appliances like the microwave, hair dryer, or coffee pot. It’s not huge like other ones and it has wheels so even at 90lbs, I can move it!

Nice video. I have the same engine on an old Craftsman mower. Just recently started stalling. Engine runs find for about 2 minutes then seems to get hot, rpm's slow, then the motor won't start for about 30 minutes. Oil, fuel all good. With the cost of new mowers today a rebuild is in order.

I was going to say I noticed that cylinder wasn't honed for those new rings but if it's only for an example yea all good.

I didn't see you positioning the gap in the new rings - gap in oil ring straight up and gap in compression rings one 90degrees left and other 90degrees right.
I have few mechanical skills. Is there a manual that would detail this process? I have that engine on an old Yard machine 3 in 1 lawn vac. I took the muffler, pull starter , air filter assembly and gas tank section off to remove a mouse nest that was causing it to overheat. I was careful to lay the pieces out in relation to where they attached to the block. I lost the" flywheel stabilizer" and spent a day with a metal detector finding it. My error was waiting almost 2 weeks to attempt reassembly. I am confused as to which bolts are used where and the order to assemble components. Now I realize that I may get torched leaving this question here, but believe it is worth it. This site has me fired up to get my Dad's old 1960 Allis Chalmers riding tractor rolling again. Thanks in advance for your help!

What was screwdriver used for on the muffler bolts? I couldn't tell what u were doing there.
Those washers bend upward to stop the bolt from turning and coming undone. They're joined in the middle so the washers themselves don't twist trying to prevent the bolt from coming undone.

these engines can make good go kart engines but you have to use a lawnmower trans axle
what rebuild? Nothing scored, sanded, honed, flattened, new seals, how are the valves? Just putting it together on the bench. What was it taken apart for?

if you have all the parts and just need to put it together I would say around 1 hour

i think the reason mine wouldnt run is bad head gasket and no spark
the flywheel key was fine and the carb bowl was clean
Doubt it would of been the head gasket, most likely bad coil or spark plug, jets blocked or a valve problem
i want to make a steel camshaft for one of these so the engine could last longer
I've never found one with a damaged cam
I feel mislead .....
Cracking engines better then the weak crap out there today...
You should clean it up better it looks like crap
