1 day validity is based on 24 hours ? If i purchase 1 day pass at 2pm will it valid till next day 2pm ?

The duration and validity of the pass is based on the operating hours of the basic public transport system, 1-day coverage of the pass begins from your 1st usage of the pass to the end of the public transport service for that day. Usage of 2-day or 3-day card must be on consecutive days. Unlimited travel is only applicable for public bus and train services.

However, you can already purchase the pass and activate it on the next day so long as you dont tap it and return it on the 5th day from the day you purchased

My friend has the Singapore Tourist Pass Plus that he used few months ago, he didn't return the card and went home with it. I'm planning to visit singapore soon, he's offering to give me his card and since the pass is already expired I assume I can still use his card and just top-up some cash in it? I'm not planning to go around too much so I don't really need the unlimited ride I could have if I buy a new card. Do you think top-up will still work in his card?

Pls check if he is using the old singapore tourist pass as the old one may no longer work
You may validate it at the terminal 2 simply go outlet when you arrive

hi! if i top up the tourist pass and use it as a regular EZlink, can i still get the 10$ deposit refund when i return it (within 5 days)?

Yes. The pass serves as a regular rfid once the duration of your pass lapses.
