- The new American Gun Craft Desperado hand cannon is a huge leap forward for fans of the original 12-gauge black powder Diablo pistol. The new Desperado is a handgun-style, break-action, double-barrel, muzzle-loaded, black powder shotgun with 12- or 20-gauge bores.

They now make it with an 11” barrel. Ordering Monday morning. Great review.
Do you like yours? I ordered the 11 in today and I'm wondering if I should have ordered the 8 inch because I'm worried the 11 in is too front heavy or heavy in heneral
Nice video. I ordered an 8" Desperado yesterday.
Good informative video about a line of guns that have really blown up (poor choice of words) in the black powder world. Seems like there is little the Diablo and Desperado can't do. Thanks!
I was very interested in the Diablo, but now that the Desperado came out that is the one I will pick up first
wonderfull gun!!!!!thanks for it....
The Desperado muzzleloading shotgun pistol🤓 starting to write letter to Santa Claus right now hoping I will receive on Christmas day 😂
I'm definitely buying one.
How about a full stock version ? thanks for the vid
I hope they will consider making even longer versions.
You will just have to wait and see ;)
Beautiful and dangerous weapon lock it and load it!
No one mentioned that it was milled from 1 peice unlike the Diablo 2 separate barrels
They should add double triggers so you can fire both barrels l have the Diablo and told them the grips were to small now they’re standard

Just a suggestion from an avid muzzle loader. Put a .125 "Nitro" card/wad after the powder and only half of a 1/2 inch lubed fiber wad, especially shooting shot. And try a patched round ball with the sprue up and in the middle of the column.
Are you standing on a wall??
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood nevermind any of my "suggestions"
@@paraplegichistoricalsports5700 I’m only asking cuz your pic is sideways in your avatar. Cool off
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood oh, my bad
What do you think a .010 patch? Over the .715 ball
I have one on the way. I am new to black powder but am planning on buying .010 patch to go with the .715 round ball. This is safe right? And im not doing to do anything stupid?
That's a heavy hitter!

I'd rather have the 20ga thankyewverramuuuuuch... I still value my wrists! X-D
The semi bird handle grip will make it very nice to shoot id bet.
I can literally one hand shoot full power loads with my sawed off double barrel 12 gauge all day because I put a bird handle grip on it. The angle makes the recoil go up as opposed to strait back like a traditional pistol grip.
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood what kind of gun did you use? Sawed-off is better with birds head than a pistol grip for sure, but doubles usually have that tang-mounted release lever that can get caught on the web of your hand during a one-handed shot. This is more true on the newer foreign doubles, which seem to have a larger space between the tang lever and the tang. With older shotguns, they tended to be very close and almost slide along the surface. I've actually thought about flipping one of those around or making a web-guide right behind it to prevent the hand from sliding into it.
These guns prove the NFA is stupid.
Its more smoke than anything else.
No safety?

Pedersoli Howdha black powder pistol in 20g or 20g/50 is a much nicer/ better gun, with actual sidelocks and two hammers. This "toggle hammer" business just reminds me of the Cobray derringers that used to litter the back pages of gun periodicals and the junk drawers of mechanics.
I'm just surprised at how many people are asking for full-stocked versions whenever I see a review. Muzzle-loading shotguns have been offered for decades through many of the popular mail-order, outdoor catologs.
As somebody who owns a Diablo and has played with that howdy gun I can tell you that those hammers are gigantic and very much in the way of any holster also the way that it uses the percussion caps is less effective than the 209 inline primer style of the Diablo and Desperado. The Desperado is also sleeker because of those hammers on the howdy gun are so ridiculous. So you got a bigger gun with less power more things to be caught on clothing etc and about three times the price. Admit it. You just like how one looks better then the other. Because as far as functionality reliability and modern reliable components are concerned the Desperado beats the howdy gun in almost every way.
How likely is this to misfire
New 2 bp. Plz dont laugh. Can u have miss fire. If u close breech. With triger in fire position ?
Also, it's not legally considered a "firearm" just so ya know...
ATF is getting purchaser list...
What's your source on that?
