  • This transmission was shifting good cold for about 3 miles, after that it was starting acting up and after 8 to 12 mileas we had to tow it back to the shop, why? It wouldn't go anywhere. All the friction material was in all the filters.

Thank you for all the explanations. You make it look not to be afraid. I am thinking on doing it myself on a B6VA transmission for my oldy 1999 Acura.

Thanks for all your videos, they've inspired me to try this myself.
I have a BAYA also, on an 03 V6 Accord, with a little over 170,000 miles. I've changed fluid every 30k. Since this will be my first full transmission rebuild (did a few valve bodies back in my hot rod days).
What would you suggest on upgrades? I see a couple of sonnax upgraded valves, and a full upgrade kit by translab. Would you suggest either, or a combination of the two?
    Thanks,
    Jim (TV repair guy)

04 civic. Shift when engine is cold. Shift slow when warm. No shift when hot, just bit in reverse. Tried drain n fill. No improvement.
    Any suggestion?

I I just rebuilt one of these. But it will shut to reverse other than that it drives beautifully. I was wandering if you could give me some insight on that. Thanks for you time

Hiram, Great Video Once again! I am dealing with an Acura TL 2004. I recently got a code of P0741. I have read the repair manuel on it and changed the fluid first. I didn't find any metal or chunks in it. It actually looks pretty good. What is your experience with this matter?
And thanks for posting these educational vidoes. You are a great asset to society !
    Thanks!

Hey I had a shop scan my 2000 Honda Accord four-cylinder going in the second year my car jumps up to about 3500 RPMs then engages but it’s done this before because of a power steering fluid leak into the alternator my car still drives fine other than that weird shifting issue into second I have no issue with other gears the skid said second and fourth clutch gear ratio wondering if you have any opinions

My code was p0730 for a Honda oddyssey 2001 but it did the same thing and it wouldn't move when it heated up so hopefully I can clean them filters or replace them to fix it

Clyde Pratt I have P0730 on my 1998 accord v6. Idk what to do. I had a 2003 honda accord v6 and it had shift solenoid issues as well, but I never replaced those because I was told I needed a transmission but in reality I needed the solenoid on top of the transmission

@@TheRookie-ld3cb Did your 2003 accord also have a P0730 code? My 2004 Honda Civic has that code i just did a third tranny oil drop n fill. it kicks when shifting from 1st to second and back
