I bought my 2020 EcoSport not really because I was in love with the vehicle or anything... But because I got it for $7,000 under MSRP before the car market went crazy. This was the cheapest AWD vehicle I could find. I absolutely in no way regret the purchase. It's a great little SUV. The only negative I can come up with is it's just a small vehicle. Taking my camping gear and another person in this thing can be very interesting.

As someone who lives in a much denser city where parallel street parking is a daily thing, the Ecosport's more compact size makes it a much better option than longer cars. You can fit this thing into very small spots that most people can't get into. And with room to spare. Its a little luxury that isn't brought up enough I think.

So many people bagged on this car. I bought an '18 SES and I'm very pleased with it. It feels sturdy, handles well and has been reliable. It's got sport suspension and paddle shifters for a little extra sportiness when I want. It's not real powerful, but power is adequate. It can also tow up to 2000 lbs. since it has a torque converter instead of a fragile CVT. With the high ground clearance, it laughs at deep snow, and with heated seats and steering wheel, it's fun to drive in the winter. It has no problem handling the freeway at 75 mph, and it's quiet and comfortable on long trips. I average around 26-27 mpg in mixed driving. Not great, but not bad for what it is. I'll keep it for the rest of my life.

I rented an EcoSport in Vegas last year specifically because so many reviewers hate on it. It was a really nice car. It was the 3 cylinder turbo and it wasn't fast but perfectly fine. I took it out to the Hoover dam and it had no problem keeping up over the elevation changes. It had lots of nice features (CarPlay, ambient lighting, a little sunroof, heated seats, etc) and the size is nice (I like small cars). The ride was comfortable. Handling was just fine. If you could get it under MSRP I'd say it's a great little car.

I had one of these on vacation for a couple of days driving it all over Phoenix and AZ in general, so I got to see what it's like around town and on the interstate. Here's my takeaway. It was fantastic and awful all at once. I liked the tall driving position. The visibility was really good. It had a very airy cabin, even though it's a very small CUV. The seat comfort was good. The interior was very attractive and I liked the design of the gauge cluster. Simple and easy to read everything. Now for why I think this vehicle was a total flop. The exterior design is extremely awkward and comical looking. The side swing tailgate is dumb. The 3cyl turbo was way too underpowered and weezy. Going up a long uphill stretch on the interstate, the transmission kept gear hunting trying to maintain speed. It was really struggling. On flat terrain at 70mph though, it was very comfortable and relaxed. The backseat has no legroom for adults. We're talking sports car backseat legroom. The ride was extremely stiff. The high-speed handling was scary. I had to do a quick lane change at 70mph and it was frightening. Overall I enjoyed it for the 2 days I had it, but I'm not sure I'd want one to daily drive.

I'm concerned about oil dilution. Or fuel dilution, however you say it. Obvious gas in the oil. Strong smell. Have been told that's normal for modern DI (direct injection) engines. Idk. I don't like it. Oil level a bit high because of it. Will need to change it. Gonna do it myself for the first time. Was told DI engines need a LOT of oil changes because of it. 5W-20 seems awfully thin. The PTU's need gear oil changes. I intend on doing that as well. Delvac 75W-90. @@gregoryleo4640 Yeah this is why Ford is dropping this POS. You have such poor standards and taste that you don’t know what a good vehicle is. There isn’t a single good review of this vehicle anywhere. It is slow, has shite quality, awful interior, handles like it needs a wheel alignment. I can’t believe someone is arguing this. This is NOT the same platform as the new Puma. Are you not able to research anything? You are totally clueless. This junk is ranked DEAD LAST in every single automotive source. Are you seriously this lost?

It's not supposed to be big. Ford makes larger models if that's what you need. Sometimes a smaller vehicle is an advantage in crowded areas.

Then maybe you're too big, with asinine demands. Maybe you could try to not feel so entitled to having everything being ample and blocking people's vision at intersections.

Horrible mileage for being so small

Stupid car, it somehow feels like a focus hatch with less interior and trunk room.

EcoSport is based on the Ford Fiesta. Escape is based on a Focus.
