your version is very similar to the way I make edema me. I'll have to try it. I boil mine for 3 mins, drain, then toss in bowl with sea salt, chili flakes, sesame oil, and fried garlic (found in oriental store). normally I use that chili sauce you mentioned for chicken or pork marinade. 😊
