Chefchaouen (Arabic: شفشاون Shafshāwan (pronounced IPA: ʃəfˈʃɑˑwən); Berber languages: ⴰⵛⵛⴰⵡⵏ Ashawen), also known as Chaouen, is a city in northwest Morocco. It is the chief town of the province of the same name, and is noted for its buildings in shades of blue. Chefchaouen is situated just inland from Tangier and Tétouan.

Mary even in a wheelchair you could get to the main square which is by the Castle and in the evening is full of tables each with a candle and the food and the ambience with the hashish smoke in the warm evening air is magic.

Ah, what a perfect walk, really enjoyable and just the kind of streets I most like walking through. Ah, perhaps someday it'll happen for real but in the meantime this is the next best thing.

According to some locals, the walls were mandated to be painted blue simply to attract tourists at some point in the 1970s. ( Wikipedia source )
It's a beautiful city, but, What a cheap way made by the government, by force, because of the dictatorship. This proves the Lack of history and culture of that city.
