- Sometimes you have to dig deep for spoilers on your favorite show, but sometimes they're accidentally dropped right in your lap, which was the case today for fans of The Originals.
While talking about the end of The Vampire Diaries with Entertainment Weekly at the ATX Television Festival, Julie Plec let it slip that Hope Mikaelson (Summer Fontana) might be Mystic Falls-bound. "Alaric (Matt Davis) and Caroline (Candice King) are running the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted where Hope Mikael-- sh** never mind. Keep watching..."
It's no surprise that Hope might end up at the Salvatore magic school, given that The Originals has made a point multiple times this season that Hope is lonely without other children around and doesn't have a great handle on her powers yet. Alaric pretty much gave her an engraved invitation to become a student during his crossover earlier this year.
Is Klaroline in The Originals' Future?
We've also had our suspicions that Season 5 of The Originals could include this magic school storyline (and Caroline Forbes by extension) given how well it fits into the spinoff's existing plot.

Kind of pisses me off that everyone assumes if anything from TVD is associated with The Originals that it will "dumb it down to a teen drama".
A. Most of the characters from TVD are either dead or have gone off to live their HUMAN lives.
B. This means Caroline is the only vampire left
C. The Originals is much darker than TVD and I don't think having ONE character (I guess 2, if you count Alaric) is going to suddenly add teen drama to all the bullshit that's going on in their Universe.
D. Caroline with her humanity off was pretty damn brutal. It's not like she doesn't have the potential to be awesome. lol
Brutal? How was that brutal lol? It was pointless and dumb, imo. If that's the same kind of storyline we can expect of her on TO, I'm not holding my breath. We all know that the only reason to add Caroline at all would be to be Klaus's love interest though, and yes, that's undoubtedly going to be very teen drama-ish, after all their history on TVD was that too. I just don't see what else she can add to the show, but maybe you can enlighten me.

Or compelling a college student, who knows nothing about surgery, to preform open heart surgery on terrified human being who is awake is totally just normal teenage drama.
Yes, a lot of plot lines in TVD had a more teenage vibe to them. It felt different as it got through season 6-8. That can be just me, I don't care. But, I did feel like the show got darker: Especially after Elena left.
And I never said I wanted her humanity to be turned off for TO - or for that KIND of story line to be brought on board. I guess my point was, more so, that after all the people Caroline killed and tortured during that time (including her own friends) - she really has no strong point of judgement over Klaus anymore.
It would be interesting to see, after the softening she has clearly had for him, how they react with each other after years of time and both being parents.
Honestly, if anything, she would probably just have a brief story arc having to do with the school. I doubt Candice King really wants to being on TO full time. She's never been a huge Klaroline fan, but she has said she would enjoy working with Joseph Morgan again - so who knows with TVD being over.

caroline didn't bring teenage drama she is the only vampire left running the school sometimes change is good smh also she's in her late 20s maybe early 30s by this time she isn't a teenager and if klaroline happens it isn't because of a crush klaus liked caroline before the spin off, i love t.o and i agree that they kind of ruined tvd but storylines change they aren't going to bring in new storylines other than the magic school and all you who watched tvd before should have known some characters weren't going to be gone forever caroline would be put into their story not her own the show won't change into the klaroline diaries

Anita Radmanic I think when Hope is old enough and she knows how to use her magic she'll find her family and figure out how to defeat the hollow then the mikaelsons can be together again they can't be kept apart for forever they'll be reunited eventually I mean that's what this show is about a vampire family that's been around for a 1000 years and have stuck together they will find a way I think Hope will defeat the hollow and then finally her family can be together I think it would've been cool to see Freya as a vampire though

Freya and Keelin has so much to offer, I don't want to see Keelin to become a flowerbase on the show, I mean, her character has so much potential, so much to uncover/explore.. When I compiled all keelin scenes and watched it in one setting, I was stunned/amazed.. the writers introduced a character that could lead to epic-dramatic-authentic storyline..
I love Klaroline but others don't probably becuase they don't see the chemistry (There is chemistry) maybe it's becuase Candice doesn't want Klaroline to be a thing and I don't think she likes klaus' character, but Caroline does like him and that why her confession included have sex with him in the woods. they had Sexual tension 😂 I love steroline too but she has the rest of her life ahead of her and the day she finally dies is probably going to be with the girls. she deserves to be happy and Stefan would want her to be happy to until she finds peace with him. Klaroline does have development and they do genuinely like each other. Joseph and Candice are great actors which is why there is chemistry. they have every right to To be together. the problem is I also ship klayley and Klamille 😂😂 Cami is dead and he can't have a imaginary relationship with her for the rest of his life and she would want him to be happy to. everyone says that Klaus ONLY loves Cami and that may be true but as Mama McCall said "You fall in love more than once". I believe Julia Pled scrap the whole thing. Hope was supposed to go to magic school in Mystic fall, but now that will never happen because now they are introducing a older Hope in season 5. When season 5 starts off Hope will be 17, or 18.

TheMinarus wether it's romantic or just plain admiration it's obvious that caroline and Klaus have something endless that a lot of fans love. A lot of fans may not like the idea but almost in everything, either a fan loves it or a fan hates it.

Honestly , making the teen drama makes it more of reality. Later on , on the season , they go to college but the plot was very more different because of other things that happened into their lives. FACT: t.o has always been and was always intended to be a COMPLETELY SEPARATE SHOW from the delena diaries. That's why it has it's own distinguishing vibe, a legitimately easily discernible tone which is the precise thing that made me gravitate towards it in the first place. It was more family oriented than hormonal teen melodrama and had more of a maturity about it, I was even surprised at how well they pulled it off. This was the vision that the active writers Narducci, Diane Ademu etc had for the show & they stated in plain words that it was going to be a very standalone show complete with it's own bevy of interesting dynamic characters courtesy of its unique ensemble cast that wouldn't need the delena shitshow to support it at all and they fought hard over the years to get the show the credit it deserves & has earned. Any actual originals fan KNOWS this and I've found that it's usually the defining factor of why they genuinely enjoy the show. Narducci etc even despised the idea of the crossovers and that's why it took till ssn 3 for them to ever happen.
Secondly, if you've been aware of what's going on then you would know that Julie plec is a zealot of klaroline & its worshippers and without questionable doubt intends to turn this show into the klaroline fan service show . There's an interview doing the rounds of her basically announcing, very brash & smugly btw, her intentions to 'do what she really wants to do, now that she has the reigns of the show'. She explains how she basically doesn't give a fuck about the accomplishment of the writers that dedicated 4 years to make this show what it is & secretly couldn't wait until she took ctrl so she can make it all about her klaroline fantasies. And I'm not even kidding with my paraphrasing, she wasnt being subtle about it in the slightest. This is exactly why she also put that klaroline fan-bait letter in the delena finale with nobody from the t.o camp being aware of it. It's no goddamn wonder narducci left.
