This was a solid duel, the SS dude played really well
Skill Drain and Summon Limit didn't even phase them, just kept going and tried to get tgeir foot in the door some way or another

This video was much appreciated! Nice to see another perspective and thought process behind the counters and plays. I also learned that I need to watch other deck gameplays to see where the weak points are for counters. Knowing the other popular decks kinda goes hand in hand with being a good control player. In the future would you be able to make a video on other archetypes that eldlich can fit into or synergizes with? Like maybe an eldlich players second deck? I’ve seen invoker and zombies being paired up on some lists.
I love this deck, I’ve been playing for 4 days now on PS5 and this deck has gotten me plenty of dubs thanks to you. You should try to add “Seven Cities of the Golden Land” and “The Mad Golden Lord” to the deck it’s been working wonders for me. Great to see the strategy you use here too.
I love the budget deck you made, I watched it in my first day in the game and managed to make it. I was climbing like crazy and people were rage quitting because of it. Now I am working to make the deck you are using in this video. Love and respect from Egypt :-)

I used the budget Eldlich deck you made a video on and with a few upgrades along the way I soared to Plat 5 like it was nothing, but ever since hitting Plat 5 the wins seem to be 50/50, so much so that I actually got knocked to Gold 1 again lol. I just started watching your vid so I'll see if it helps!
Also here is the difference between my deck and Solemns, if anyone has suggestions on what I should change please let me know:
- (2) *Evenly matched* (Solemn has (2) Pot of Prosperity)
- (2) *Nibiru* (Solemn has (2) Called By The Grave)
- (1) *Gadarla* (Solemn has (1) Golden Land Forever)
- (1) *Raigeki & 1 Lightning Storm* (Solemn has (2) Stolen Burial Goods)
Same thing happened to me. What kills me are the monsters that are immune to effects. Or if they banish my Eldlichs
Imagine playing on of the strongest and annoying decks just to stuck at g1 where ppl play j4f. I hate you ngl xD
@@sleepysamurai2367 Exactly! And because everyone is talking about Eldlich winning so much right now it seems like everyone has tweaked their decks to include a bunch of immune from card effects and banishes!
@@harry8082 Eldlich is winning because a ton of people are playing it, and Skill Drain is a house of a card. lol
Cause you went up against good players and not noobs. So it actually takes skill to get to plat 1. Keep playing and see why you are losing, no reason why you can't get to plat 1 with eldlich.
passing tip: instead of pressing the "Cancel" when trap prompt appear, u can just click the mouse's right click
Really enjoyed this more gameplay focused video. Been planning on making an Eldlich deck so it is super helpful to know what’s going through your head using the deck.
Funny enough I also plan on a Sky Striker deck so maybe this will also help me when I face Eldlich.
get the seven cities of the golden land spell. everytime you special summon (trap monsters included) you can target a spell/trap on the field and negate it for the turn. and it can summon eldlich the mad goldenlord with a trap monster and eldlich. beasty attack, and immune to card effects.

as an eldlich player, i definitely recommend adding a seven cities of the golden land spell to your deck. it can negate any spells/traps for the turn after special summoning a monster (trap monsters included) and fusion summon eldlich the mad golden lord. at the cost of a trap monster and an eldlich, with 3800/3500 and an immunity to card effects.
the problem is, the deck doesnt need the fx of the seven cities or the fusion.
if you're going to run the fusion, you'd be better off running super poly's because it can hit the mirror as well as a few other builds if you commit the extra deck space to it.
no matter how you look at it, you're going to want to play skill drain the moment you get it, meaning your fusion is going to be a vanilla 3400 most of the time.
the biggest threat to eldlich is going second to herald or getting the backrow wiped. solemn strike is the usual go to, to stop herald.
superpoly could at least, turn a herald and fafnir into a mud dragon. pot of extra tho, makes running it a little risky.
@@kapwns hmmm. two completely different cards though. seven cities will negate any set spell/trap card on the field for the turn. while super poly can sacrifice a monster on the opponent's field.
super poly and seven cities is great below gold tier. but once you reach platinum you always fight against sky striker and virtual world that banish and negate which is very annoying. add maxx c, ash and called by grave. just special summon eldlich with extra 1000atk pretty much the same.
@@H34Rt54 run all of those already. seven cities is literally just to get a powerful monster on the field that is hard to target with effects whilst simultaniously locking out a backrow card for the turn whenever i special summon a zombie.

I did your Budget Eldlich deck just like you taught me, and I've reached Plat V so far (and I haven't watched any YuGiOh past GX, and haven't played any game since Joey The Passion like 10-12 years ago) All these crazy summons were complete alien to me, but my boy Eldlich got my back lol
Nice vid, not really a fan of this decks but watching you play gives me a better understanding of how to counter it without having to play the deck

I came back to Yugioh since over a decade and have climbed to Plat 4 just by playing Eldlich from your guide. The deck is so busted, I literally used a Pot to get Skill Drain on first turn and the opponent just surrendered

His misplay is actually added value, i for one misplayed a lot during solo mode when i was checking how virtual deck works. This is actually a good start as reference on playing eldlich. I do hope for the decklist as im not familiar with the new cards (Anything and including GX)

If your opponent has a crazy monster that can’t be destroyed or has some nutty other effect, you tribute it for the kaiju. The kaiju is easily killable with conquistador, whilst many boss monsters are not
@@solemnyugioh Oh I understand now! Thanks :) One final question, I already have all the budget Eldlich cards, but I want to improve it. All cards I need from this deck are the URs or some SRs like Ash. They don't appear in secret packs and I don't have enough materials to craft them, should I be pulling in master pack? IT seems like a bad pack with too many things.

Personally i really yu gi oh but I wish it was more simple to play as ir was back in the good old days. It bores me when players spend a whole day playing cards chainning stuff summoning and re summoning monsters to cover all the field in one turn, and not letting the duel to flow Nice and easy.

Hey man I’m pretty much new to playing yugioh, I’m lucky to have stumbled on your channel. The first video I’ve seen was the budget Virtual World guide. I get really lost when I use that deck. I sometimes get lost trying to use the combos in that deck to eventually summon Calamities and I never end up summoning him lol, I always get close. I honestly have no idea what I’m doing sometimes. I’ve only been playing a few days so I’ll keep practicing. I’ll also give this deck a try too! You explain everything so well man and I’ll try to keep up!

How would you play against banish deck? do you think adding "Burial from a different dimension" will do good or it would just increase the chance of getting brick hands?
Hi I'm pretty new to the game and don't recognize some of the cards, is there somewhere I could find the list? Also when I go to look up summon limit and Pot of Prosperity I cant seem to find them is that something I have to unlock from a pack or something? Thanks!
tldr: set 5 traps and take as long as possible to respond to any of their effects and they will surrender

I had never played yu gi oh, was an MTG player for many years, but stopped and hadn't played anything for a long time. Tho I've always loved card games.
During new years I was with some friends and they had yu gi oh cards and its something they play a lot apparently (they also play Duel Links). So we played a few times while I was there.
Then a couple weeks later I see Master Duel for free on Steam and its a new game...!
So I started playing because people said it was easy to get into and also its somewhat similar to Arena, so to me it was a smooth transition.
Obviously I had no idea what decks were good... I did a couple pvp duels with one of the free decks from solo and that was a major L lol. People just OTK'd me with massive combos lmao
so I needed something to start with, came on youtube and saw a couple videos on the best/easiest to start with decks, one of them was Eldlich. It seemed easy enough (all the cards are overall pretty simple with no need for 300iq combos) and then I saw your budget Eldlich deck and that's what I've been using.
I've actually won most games, some really intense ones and its been fun
Usually lose to Dark magician decks lol, they do some annoying things
for some reason as a duel links player eldrich is like the shiranui of master duel with all those traps and resummon from the graveyard every turn xD

how do you take over 20 minutes, eldlich has one step. you set 5 backrow, pass, and then click yes whenever MD prompts you.
idk what it is about eldlich deck but i played several match this afternoon using semi budget eldlich. 3 player back to back surrendered turn 1. all i did was set trap cards that doesnt even do anything. the mind game is strong in this one

So oddly enough, I've played Eldritch 4x now climbing to Plat, and beat 3/4 with Negate Pendulum. My hands may have opened up as power houses, but boy could I feel their rage :)
Yeah deck can easily be countered. Also Eldlich mirror match makes people reconsider using the deck lol.

I love when people cry about my eldlich deck....wahhh I couldn't summon 57 times using my 85 step combo lol
I used to be a monarch player but upon reaching plat I got dumbstered by meta decks that summons a hell lot of powerful monsters with negates on turn one as well as forcing me to watch the whole thing. This is why I like eldlich just to have numerous options to beat all kinds of decks and not get bored from waiting for their turn to end.
Same monarchs is my fun deck buck eldlich is good if u wanna grind
very solid plays although putting that conquistador in attack at the end was pretty remedial in my personal opinion

Been using the deck and it’s helped get me to gold so far. How do I learn the cards most other players use so I can counter them? If I sit to read all the effects of my opponents cards I run out of time
Do you think you could do a budget Dragonmaid deck or something with Spellcasters as a new person to Yu-Gi-Oh these are two other archetypes that I find interesting and could really use help finding a good way to use them starting out.
So is Solemn running the best version of this deck? I kinda need some help, still pretty new to Yu Gi Oh but man i am loving it so far.

cool i made an Eldlich deck simply because i pulled a shiny Prismatic version of it hahaha thanks for the tips and tricks because i was sucking hard using the deck even though i used like 10k gems to make it xD

I absolutely destroyed this deck this morning, I play a unchained kaiju with gradle eagle and I was going 2nd, eld ended his turn with eldlich of course and like 4 back row. I play a searcher to draw out the ash. Then I steal his eldlich by ss aruha targeting my set gradle eagle and steal his eldlich, then he activates sanguine or which ever trap turns into a monster idk I don't play eldlich trash but anyways, after I pop eagle it triggered my abominable unchained monster to ss him and pop a card, i pop a one of his back row then link summon into unchained soul of rage and end with eldlich, rage, and 2 back row. The rest is history

Honestly dude I made this deck i a couple of hours of playing. I changed some things to my preferences like 3 solem and harpies feather duster .
Why the game is so slow? You wait 10 seconds after opponent does something. Is it a server problem ?

Went 1-2 first 3 duels going 2nd against some Dark Magician/Max Dragon Deck at G5 with this build, im not sure if 3 Maxx Cs AND Ashes are needed, but ill see it soon

Hey would you consider doing a rokket deck profile because that’s my favorite deck of all time and I have it in real life, it’s very good and with guarddragons it was broken as hell.

@@zekerdeath how would you know? There’s only so many meta decks to cover. Why wouldn’t he show off a fun and effective deck like rokkets/dragon link. And I’m sure he wants me and people like me to watch him so again another reason to cover alt decks.

@@zekerdeath see the thing is I don’t think that it’s a casual deck though. I’d consider it a rouge deck which is something plenty of people like. It IS a strong deck with guardragons and Destrudo and red eyes metal engine not to mention borreload borrel sword borrel savage and all of those other extra deck support which can target rokkets which have insane effects and can make drawing cards you want easy since you’re always searching monsters.
