We Shun'ei fans exist, we promise, lol. I've seen some players use Ex Thruster Vision after an air punch to help extend combos. Definitely need to play around more. He seems to have lost a bit of invincibility on his moves from his previous iteration.
As someone who DOES like Shun’ei a lot, thanks for this video. Fantastic editing and very concise work. Wish more people edited in this style. Definitely an easier way to learn as he’s my first character I want to learn in 15
I mean, I like *playing* Shun ei a whole lot. His execution is simple but fun and he's got a lot of options. I just hate his design. And islas. She looks like a Splatoon character and he looks like he got kicked out of the JSRF cast.
I like Shun'ei, I like his design (except for his rolled up leg) also he brings a neat spin to the all rounder. His DP instead of being of being jumping and spinning or just an uppercut, it's a fire fist upwards
These guides are great! Edited well, and shows off the essentials without taking more that half an hour. In the sea of character guides for KOF15, yours’ should be the gold standard.
I'll be honest, Shun'ei kinda grew on me. One thing I like about him is that he's probably the only KOF character who has Water-Themed powers (along side Fire as well, since a KOF story arc protag always needs fire powers.) and he seems good to play as. His fashion sense also looks pretty funny, but it I think it was based on recent fashion trends among youth in China or something. Nice to see some attention given to him.
I will say I think it’s a pretty cool detail that shun has a similar game plan to terry considering they’re taught by the same mentor. Even have similar weaknesses.
Although people say a lot about his fashion, but I can't help but notice how fluid his jacket, tie, and beads animation are. His jacket is always fluttering, like how 2D Rock Howard's jacket does in Garou: MoTW. Wished SNK extends the animation towards XV Rock too but anyway. Shun'ei's follow-through animation is kinda awesome
Honestly, I only use the black and red color for Shunei. His clothes might be ass but a concise color scheme does a lot to mitigate it. Edit: Wait, how tf do you only have 800 subs? With how much detail these guides have you deserve a LOT more.
I think it’s also worth noting his lack of a fully invincible dp. If he had one I’d say it’d be great because his leaves him on the ground so you can’t max punish him. But without it he’s lacking in ways to turn momentum.
I have two friends that are playing KOF for the first time and they love Shun ei lol I’ll admit I was hesitant at first and didn’t like his design but it grew on me after a while. I like his jacket and the way he’s animated. Very weird cause I never thought I would lol
His outfit (jacket, tie, and beads) has the most fluid animation compared to any other character in XV. Maybe because he's the protag so SNK put lots of effort in his follow-through animation. Just like how 2D Rock Howard's jacket fluttering in his original game. No wonder Shun'ei grows on us.
Honestly, I don't really have a set schedule for what order I'm doing these characters in, but I will say that Angel is probably going to be near the end of this series. She's going to require a little extra... effort cause of her moveset. Thanks for enjoying the video btw.
Yeah, I admit I had no interest in this character when KOF 14 came out. I thought he looked really dumb. After looking up some videos on this character, I decided to give him a try and...he's actually not bad. He looks stupid but I really like his moveset.
