    A few things I didn’t mention:
    Yes, I’m aware Kamo fought Curse Naoya alongside Maki. I didn’t consider these feats worth mentioning for a few reasons, but generally I think earnestly scaling Kamo to Curse Naoya is a little weird. We do know Naoya’s speed in his second stage fluctuates as he’s capable of amplifying his speed with acceleration. We also know he’s not always using projection sorcery, an ability which gets faster after continuous uses. That combined with the fact Naoya’s initial base speed was enough that Kamo couldn’t even see him move, makes me confident most examples of Kamo reacting are due to Naoya not being serious as he’s prone to do(Yuji and Choso), so I don’t think it’s fair to say he has reactions above Shibuya Yuji’s
    I forgot to include Ranta and Chojuro, the two members of the Hei that fought alongside Jinichi. These two would likely be above Toge and Kamo and below Jinichi, for pretty obvious reasons. Maki is seen as total garbage by the clan, and the Hei are the most powerful sorcerers of the clan.
    Those saying the Kusakabe statement doesn’t include Naobito and Naoya, I’m well aware. I had kinda skimmed over that fact because it was unnecessarily confusing. I wanted to have an explanation that would be acceptable for the anime onlies without having to get into the manga spoilers that Kusakabe had gotten stronger. By just saying Kusakabe is stated the strongest, which is partially true but also true due to feats, I could kinda sideswipe that tangent. During the Shibuya Incident I would agree Naobito and probably Naoya are superior to Kusakabe, if only slightly seeing as his Simple Domain is kinda a really good ability for dealing with them, but Kusakabe’s current feats are well above that. Him being comparable to base Yuta, even if you said he was only around Maki when she first faced the Hei, that would be enough to take down Naobito
    Me saying “apparently” wasn’t dismissing Mahito, Yuji and Megumi having Gojo level potential. The joke is that all the characters said to have that potential never end up getting there

      Agree with this. And also since simple domain severely weaken (might negate) curse technique. I'll say Kusakabe will win in most fight again those Zenins. If they can move so fast second only to Gojo so what? You step to Kusakabe's SD and you'd get cooked. Even Nanami said only Gojo who can handle the garage of slashes by Kusakabe's Domain.

    Great video. There is only one thing I heavily disagree on: mei mei being higher than nanami. Nanami fought mahito and survived, fought dagon and entered in his domain and survived with some damage, after that he takes an attack from jogo (the strongest curse at that time).and survives; and after ALL OF THAT fights with many soul-manipolated humans. Mei mei fights with a nameless curse with a weak domain and , with the hel of her brother ui-ui who can use SIMPLE DOMAIN, survives. Nanami is obviously a bit stronger

    • @Professor_Fiction
      @Professor_Fiction  Před měsícem +14

      At the time they fought Mahito was fairly weak, and Nanami only lived due to Yuji interrupting the Domain. Dagon would’ve destroy Nanami within the domain had it not been for Megumi, and he couldn’t even hurt base Dagon without Naobito’s help. Mei Mei’s mainly ranked so high because the Special Grade she should scale strongly to Yuji during the events of Shibuya, whereas Nanami is less clear

    I think Nanami hits way harder since in the “Kusakabe is the strongest grade 1” flashback Nanami admitted that in striking power Kusakabe is below him and MeiMei. This either implies MeiMei’s ce reinforced normal axe strikes are on par with a ratio ce reinforced strike (which I think is unlikely, considering Kenjaku didn’t even praise MeiMei’s axe skills), or bird strike is relative to a full ratio hit from Nanami (which I think is the more likely interpretation since Sukuna did “praise” both, by internally thinking about it with ratio and actively blocking bird strike).

    • @Professor_Fiction
      @Professor_Fiction  Před měsícem +3

      Nanami has a direct statement comparing his striking power to early Shibuya yuji. I imagine his ratio hits are stronger than Mei meis normal strikes but bird strike should be stronger. Narratively bird strike is described as a one shot move and even sukuna chose to dodge instead of defend, it should be stronger than anything Nanami can do.

    Having him that low is a travesty.

    • @Professor_Fiction
      @Professor_Fiction  Před měsícem

      The reason he was a potential special grade was because he could ‘theoretically’ make an army of cursed corpses like panda, which would in turn allow him to overthrow a nation. It’s prep based if anything

    • @PetrolHeadWolfComments
      @PetrolHeadWolfComments Před měsícem +3

      @@Professor_Fiction
      Yes, it's prep-based. And It's far from theory, he has made more than a few autonomous cursed dolls. He kept his other creations a secret within a forest protected by Tengen
      and only stopped because of what might happen. And he created another one as a favor for Kusakabe. So, his ability to create an army is a given and more than just a theory.
      If you're docking him points for needing prep time, that's understandable but that means you have to do the same for Mechamaru and the Special Grade Suguru Geto in your rankings. They both need prep time and in Geto's case, access to resources (curses) to create their army.

  • @RealMonzer
    @RealMonzer Před měsícem +27

    I think Mei Mei and Mechamaru are a little too high. The grasshopper curse wasn’t really comparable to Yuji, and the smallpox curse is featless. Special grade is a large range. Megumi could beat a special grade finger bearer when his best scaling at that point was fighting the semi grade 1 Kamo. The first finger bearer (also a special grade) was much weaker than this one. So her best scaling is killing some curses that are vaguely above someone who Yuji could already low diff. Taking this into account, Mei Mei seems kinda featless and I don’t think you can put her above Yuji.
    Mechamaru seemingly does well vs Mahito, but at the end of the fight Mahito says that it wasn’t close at all and he was just sandbagging. Combine this with the fact that his stamina is very limited and he doesn’t seem too impressive.
    Nanami I think is a bit underrated. Naobito’s punch did more visible damage, but Dagon had already been hit many times at that point, and Nanami’s attack was able to send Dagon flying, which most of Naobito’s attacks did not do. Nanami also took significantly less damage than Naobito (given he was hit by an attack of less than half the strength), and he went on to survive an attack from Jogo and keep fighting. He also scales to a Yuji who should be stronger than his goodwill self. Being able to harm full power Hanami is more impressive imo than killing the smallpox deity or hurting a sandbagging Mahito.

    so here is the thing with the mei mei, nanami and todo argument's it's that they all scale physical to a shibuya yuji, nanami directly with his AP and todo with mahito fight and mei mei is adjacently scaled to yuji. so then we go to dagon scaling which I think people miss use in that the statement nanami say's doesn't imply his ratio technic is doing nothing but more that dagon has a great supply of curse energy to the point his regen make's it seem he has infinite HP. however I think the most helpful thing that dagon fight show is that nanami is kind of a tank has he take's dagon's domain and a "kill" shot from jogo and gose on to fight some week curse. which arguable the most impressive durability feat in shibuya has while chose dose a number on yuji that's heeled because of sukuna. but speaking of sukuna I think that is the best way to scale mei mei and uei uei has we clearly see that her crow's are reacted to by sukuna however they are avoid and not tanked which implies that would do something to him which kind of make scenes depending on how you scale sukuna (ever he is relatively constant through out the series or his finger provide relative boost's which there is no evidence to support). however this help scale nabito to be relative current cast in speed AP is a little fishy

    This was a good list, but there's three things I want to change. First of all, Nanami is stronger than Mei Mei. He fought Mahito, an unregistered Special-Grade and one of the strongest Disaster Curses, and equaled him (albeit that Mahito didn't have DE and was significantly weaker than his Shibuya-self, equaling a Disaster Curse no matter what time period you do it in is impressive). Furthermore, he survived an attack from Jogo that NAOBITO (someone who lost an arm and was fine afterwards) couldn't. Mei Mei, with help, struggled to defeat the Smallpox Deity, a cursed spirit that isn't even on the same level as the Mahito that Nanami fought and equaled with minimal injuries.
    Also, Naoya should be significantly lower. In fact, lower than Absolute Mode: Mechamaru (at least in his human form, not as a Vengeful Cursed Spirit). Mechamaru in this mech was able to HURT Mahito who was likely equal to Mahito from the Shibuya Arc, and actually survived his Domain Expansion. He was also stated by Kenjaku to have "special grade levels of cursed energy output" which is INSANE.
    Todo should also be above Naobito. Todo was able to single handedly parry and counter all of Mahito's moves, even knocking him around and getting the upper hand (a Shibuya Arc Mahito). He also countered Mahito's Domain Expansion easily, countered Idle Transfiguration by cutting off his arm, and tanked a Black Flash from Mahito. He also went on to further beat up a Mahito that was 120% of his true potential AND got enhanced by a Black Flash amp afterwards with one hand and severe injuries. He also was beating up Hanami & forced her to use Domain Expansion alongside Goodwill Event Arc Yuji. Furthermore, he's currently fighting True Form Sukuna & is doing well against him alongside Yuji. Naobito was getting beat up by DE Dagon.
    Here's my top five list of the strongest Grade One Sorcerers:
    #5 - Nanami (* equaled an earlier Mahito, survived Jogo's flaming attack, killed countless cursed spirits with half of his body completely eviscerated)
    #4 - Absolute Mode: Mechamaru (* hurt Mahito with his cursed energy blasts, had special grade levels of cursed energy output, survived Mahito's Domain Expansion)
    #3 - Naobito (* dominated Dagon pre - Domain Expansion, was the only person out of Nanami, Maki, and himself to counter Dagon's shikigami via Falling Blossom Emotion, is stated to be the fastest sorcerer outside of Satoru Gojo, knocked Dagon down despite not having an arm in his Domain Expansion)
    #2 - Todo (* was beating up Hanami with Yuji, forcing her to use Domain Expansion [with Hanami having the highest level of durability out of the Disaster Curses]. He was beating up a 120% potential + Black Flash-amped Mahito with one arm and having just tanked a Black Flash from that same Mahito. Parried, countered, and got the upper hand against Mahito countless times in the battle. Currently, he's fighting True Form Sukuna [albeit weakened] alongside Awakened Yuji, showing relativity to that same Yuji [with that Yuji capable of beating up True Form Sukuna by himself] and punishing even Sukuna himself)
    #1 - Kusakabe (* was able to tank a Maximum: Uzumaki by Kenjaku which had Mahito inside of it, got praised by Sukuna and was fighting Sukuna hand-to-hand. Blocked all of Sukuna's slashes and was able to even surprise and kind of hurt Sukuna by himself. Was stated to be the strongest Grade One Sorcerer by multiple people, such as Nanami, Mei Mei, and even Gojo himself who thought that the title was obvious.)

      I disagree with todo. Both mahito and sukuna acknowledge that tge main issue with todo is his boogie woogie. Not only would boogie woogie be tougher to use in a 1v1 setting, but naoya and naobitos projection sorcery present a severe disadvantage to todous boogie woogie.

    • @shubhangshekhar6041
      @shubhangshekhar6041 Před 4 dny

      @@ghhbpolo Mahito's statements are that "Boogie Woogie is disorienting, even if you know about it." Plus, while it is harder to use in a 1v1 setting, he still can infuse other inanimate objects with cursed energy and use those as what he switches with. Plus, Todo was HURTING Hanami (the most durable unregistered special grade cursed spirit), and that alone would allow him to beat Naoya. Naobito is more difficult, but Todo is relative to Yuji currently (who isn't really Awakened anymore, but still extremely powerful), and that would put him above these two easily.
      Plus, Projection Sorcery is actually an advantage to Boogie Woogie, as Todo can switch places with them right as they use Projection Sorcery & is about to attack him, leading them to miss and allowing Todo to have a perfect counter strike.

    • @ghhbpolo
      @ghhbpolo Před 4 dny

      @shubhangshekhar6041 people need to stop overrating landing a hit. This isn't dragon ball where people display power by catching punches or kicks with their face. In actual fighting, a person's power doesnt correlate to their durability. Otherwise u wouldn't be able to hurt urself, but u can. So sukuna being damaged by todo while in a 1v2 with yuji doesn't mean todos on the same lvl as yuji. In addition, hanami being durable has never once been stated as a seemingly unreachable lvl of durable. She/he was just extremely durable COMPARED TO JOGO, wouldve died if he took yujis black flashes.
      Yes, even if they know about it, but my main point was that naoya and naobito would also have a COUNTER to boogie woogie, in that the sheer speed they move at exceed maki and nanamis reaction and perception speed. And that's only the initial speed. That speed can be stacked upon as well. If go based on that, a close combat battle would make it very hard for todo to clap his hands before naoya or naobito can attack. Naoya was extremely destructive in his first fight with maki too. U can't just pass him off as not being a problem for todo. Taking tge time to infuse ce into something and throwing would be even harder than clapping his hands.

    In that panel you posted even Gojo says “It’s a different story of we include the 3 families”.
    There’s also the fact that while Kusikabe was being gased up that chapter, they immediately walk it back a bit the next chapter
    Mei Mei say’s physically she and Nanami are stronger than him.
    Nanami says it’s not that he sees Kusikabe winning all his fights, it’s just hard to imagine him losing.
    Cause Kusikabe famously keeps himself out of situations he’d be outclassed in, which is solid intuition on his part.

      @@godspeed6980 The only thing Sukuna brings up is that everyone’s defense has increased over the 1 month timeskip. Now that’s not to say that they’re not stronger in other categories but that’s the biggest observation he made.
      And we’ve seen programmable simple domains before. Miwa used it on preawakened Maki. They basically turn their bodies into the avenue for auto defense when something crosses into their new shadow style radius. This allows them to move beyond their normal speed.
      But as we’ve seen even Kusikabe was having a hard time keeping up with Sukuna’s slashes after he stopped using his hands. He was toying with him.
      This it further showcased after we learned when Choso renters the fight that Sukuna can move faster than his slashes that makes it even more apparent how outclassed Kusikabe was.

      Because that inherently skews the feat itself beyond this also being a nerfed Sukuna. Trying to use it as concrete proof of Kusikabe>Naobito is dodgy at best.
      Kusikabes biggest statements come from other people(Gojo,Mei Mei,Nanami, and Ino) aside from the later the other 3 flat out give reasonings that show that’s it’s more nuanced than simply “Kusikabe is just stronger than all other grade 1’s”.

      Not vaporizing Maki is not relevant as he did not fight Maki at the time where you claim he should be stronger. However, he did fight Yuji at that point, and he’s fighting a much stronger Yuji right now than he was back then.
      Yuta already beat Ryu, and Sukuna said his durability isn’t higher than Ryu, not that he’s weaker than him. Yuta’s performance vs Kenjaku was also much better than how he would’ve done in the previous arc by his own admission. Mei Mei isn’t part of the group fighting Sukuna. Ino was already strong enough to be semi grade 1 before the training. Kusakabe can be a grade 1 while also being above Naobito.
      The fact that his defenses are high enough to survive these attacks from Sukuna absolutely matters in a 1v1, especially when Naobito is only vaguely above someone who got easily killed by a wounded Maki, who’s way weaker than the current Maki.
