- Here we go with one more atmospheric and well done horror quest. It performed in a spirit of old kind classic quests. There're Prelude, Interlude and 5 episodes to play through in total. The story is supposed to become very interesting and exciting, but be ready, that it won't be an easy adventure.
By the way, in every episode there're 3-4 characters and we can choose a person to play for.
In the 1st episode (Husher's Mannor) I play for Alexander Laskin because he's the only one who knows Husher's mannor and Hushers themselves perfectly well and can tell us some interesting facts about them during our playing through.
In the 2nd episode (Earily Quiet) I play for Erica Faaber because that's her father we are to find in this chapter and she can make some useful remarks about the location.
In the 3rd episode (A Twisted Trail) I play for Daniel Noyer because of one particular moment when one more time he finds himself at the door from nowhere).
n the 4th episode (The Last Concert) I play for Daniel Noyer. The episode has enourmous level map including underground crypt location, great number of closed doors and variety of different keys to be found.
By the time my walkthrough's been recorded there's a patch fixing the bug with a collectible item to be issued. That's why there wasn't found a collectible item (tarot deck) in my video.
In the 5th episode (The Horror and The Song) I chose to play for Sophia VanDenend (the last more of less good looking character). In my video you can see the full playthrough of the episode 5 with all puzzles solved and all collectibles (Ariadne's paintings) found as well as the playthrough of the Finale with all 4/4 character puzzles solved. Puzzles seem to be very complecated at the 1st sight, but they're really easy if you understand the logic. Ask me if you do not understand something and still need help...
So, take some tea or coffee and watch the ending of the story and enjoy it.

One cool little detail, if you look out the window again upstairs in Chapter 1 after the spookiness has come in, you'll see a creepy lady standing still behind the swings

23:04 that statue in the corner ALWAYS scares me so I had a good laugh when you also paused and turned to put it in the light. Great video! I love Alexander's POV because he's legitimately a part of the family (and his wife was stuck in there too) so it's great to see someone play as him!
One thing you notice right near the beginning is how they try to make sure to make you understand the game takes place in 1998. Saying he's waiting for the next X-Files episode, the VHS cassettes, and 6-Track cassettes by a player are all minor details that give you a visual sense to fall into the narrative of time, along with the story itself. I think this level of detail needs to be done more often in games. Not just showing the time, but immersing you in it.

the video description says there was a bug with the tarot cards. so when I get to chapter 5 I should follow another guide as well, or do you look over it while exploring (this video is a year old, so you probably no longer remember haha)?

Fun fact, Erica's outfit is a reference to Yellow King Hastuur, one deity from Cthulhu mythos...also, the ID that she found...Walter Sullivan is an easter egg to Silent Hill 4: The Room...for that is the name of the serial killer of the game

Good effort, but next time you play a game like this, give the little investigation descriptions a bit more screentime, will ya. I've had to rewind CONSTANTLY to actually get to use the pause button to read the texts.

Generally a good game and good play-through. I really enjoy these longer videos. I often fall asleep to them and hours later wake up to them! The only thing I can say is that I wish you could give us more time to read the flavor text. You breezed through it all so fast that it was even hard to pause the game. I know you have probably played through the game a couple of times before making the video so you probably already know what everything will say - but we don't. Just a thought for the future. Also, at the end of the game when they're trudging endlessly through water, there was a screaming baby that just went on and on and on. Don't know what the game's devs were thinking but no one wants to hear a screaming baby for very long. Their cries have literally evolved to be as annoying as possible to human ears so that we won't ignore them. When the baby finally stopped crying I actually felt my stress level drop by a significant amount!
Is a difficult platinum?
What difficulty level are you playing on ?. Because my difficulty is Edgar Allan Poe and I try to play exactly like you, but I constantly have this presence and I'm hiding in the closet every 2 minutes. I died 3 times already, I had to play from the beginning and I try to do the achievement without dying. It is very difficult and hard to do
Does it have missable trophies? And how many playthrough to get the plat?
@@pauldg913 tecnically u need 2 full playthrough for the plat. 1 on edgar allan poe stacking a considerable amount of trophies and 1 on h.p. lovecraft. More than that, even with good planning, u need to backup before ending a chapter and switch character to get all the "finish chapter X with character Y". There are a bunch of missable trophy, pretty much almost all them are missable

Complete this game but story and game is boring
Not a bad game, but it relies way too much on cheap jumpscares.
And bad controls during minigames.
I'm still in chaper 2 but I'm very disappointed by the lack of interaction between all the characters and the main plot. When a character die another one just appears at the house without much explanation, and trhey start to wander in the house for no reason at all (yes they're looking after somone but it's not like any common person would enter in a house and start searching in many rooms like a robber). Much potential wasted in the lack of effort to put more real content. It's like a generic horror game with better gameplay, graphics and voice over.

This game is certainly far better than the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3. We need more games like this.
