I have a theory: 1. he knew Thawne wouldn't believe him and would just fall into a "trap" to close the loop. 2. Maybe 1. Wasn't Barry's original intentional and maybe he was actually trying to change the timeline to the original where he became the Flash in 2020. He could have changed his mind later. Proof: He waited for a while after Thawne ran off because he was MUCH faster than this version of RF.
Probably wanted to actually give a chance somehow for the timeline to go back to what it originally was, but after RF left, he knew that her mom’s death is a fixed point and he accepted that.
I loved this scene... he wanted to save him. To restore the original timeline to when Barry became the flash in 2020. He cares for Eobard, he doesnt hate him anymore but knows they're enemies
actually in the real timeline particle accelerator exploded in 2019 and Barry became the flash in 2020 (as RF said to Harrison wells before taking his face in S1) and in that time Barry's mother never died. And in that timeline Barry vanished after crisis on infinite Earths which occurred in 2024. But RF comes back in the past and kills Barry's mother and causes the particle accelerator to explode much earlier makes barry the fiash in 2014. Crisis happened in 2019 but Barry didn't vanish. Hence the earlier timeline got erased (Nora West Allen of the timeline in which Barry vanishes in crisis got erased in S5) and a new timeline was created.

Flashpoint 3 actually. Thawne killing Barry's mother also created a Flashpoint because a lot of what we see throughout the show doesn't happen like that in Thawne's pre-season 1 timeline. @@OG-ColorfulAbyss. It’s still such a. confusing area, regarding that night. But if you think about it chronologically, the first traveling to the night was from the 2024 Crisis, Thawne did indeed need to recreate a Flash because in deleting Barry’s origin Thawne deleted his own. Technically no, because he still sees the crowd get saved but as you said for a time there was no Flash, and until there was a Flash Thawne returned to his full power, able to go home but the actual OG Timeline is gone but theoretically he could have returned to it in S1 because he described the whole process as “merging the universes, and traveling through the cracks,” maybe. It's funny, because in the first part of the episode, it feels like Barry is hopeless. But the truth is that Barry has already come to terms with the fact that this night has to happen. He just feels guilty about it. Thawne's mistake was believing that he could kill Barry as a child, and that nothing could stop that. When Barry realized that was all Thawne had in mind, Barry saw the one opportunity he had to stop Thawne was by getting Thawne to stop himself. When Thawne committed to the act of murder, it released Barry from the burden of the choice Barry made that night, and inevitably doomed Thawne to repeat all of the mistakes that we have already seen him make.

This scene is a nice touch to the comics. Recently (as far as I know) in comics Reverse Flash doesnt exist anylonger. After decades of countless paradoxes and bullshit he caused, suffering he created just to ruin Barry's life, Flash confronted him one last time. However this time he forgave Thawne and erased the Reverse Flash from existence for good. Thawne became his normal self in the future without any superpowers, Everything is fixed with the timeline and Barry is happy.
I've just realized, Thawne was only 20 years old when he presented himself to the world. And he was only 35 when he revealed himself to Cisco. He was way younger than I expected.
I would have just said let’s go back in time and stop “me” from saving that crowd and tell your past self to do it at this exact time and to stop past “me” from getting to the crowd.
Thawn: Oh I know. And i love every second of it. Remember when you were 12 and you tripped and fell down the stars and couldn't play with your team for the finals and they lost that match? That was me Barry. Or what about that time your dog was randomly walking in the street only for him to get run over right in front of you? I was the one driving the car after putting your best friend right in front of you. Remember the science fair in your 5th grade when your volcano actually exploded? That was me again. Or what about that time in highschool when you couldn't catch a foot ball to save your life and got beaten up for it? That was me once again. Don't you see? I have dedicated my life to make yours as miserable as possible and I love every eecond of it.
Some people have gone so far that they can’t come back, Thawne was so mad that he didn’t want to be better he just wanted to make the person who stole his spotlight suffer, it was too late for him
Has reverse flash ever thought about just going to a different world/earth and starting a new hero life there? I would think that’s the most logical thing 🤷♂️
He is the most petty person in the multiverse, there is even a story where thanos met a "man in yellow " and found him so petty that he decided to torture a random guy to balance the multiverse.
Technically by becoming the very reason Barry becomes the Flash who originally inspired Thawne to become a Speedster in the first place, Reverse Flash is the reason Thawne becomes the Reverse Flash.
@@OG-ColorfulAbyss.Exactly. If Thawne hadn’t spent all that time training Barry to be the Flash then maybe Barry would have taken a different name like Clark did on Smallville, being the Blur and the Streak (both which would have been great first Aliases for Barry Imo) or not became a Superhero at all. So Thawne literally created his own arch nemesis in all but original power. All he had to do was nothing and wait a few years to return to his time and save that crowd or even save another crowd while in the past that Barry wasn’t fast enough, or didn’t care to (due to lack of training), save and he would have been the hero he always wanted to be. @@OG-ColorfulAbyss. Kind of like how they always say on Doctor Who that events are timey wimey since time travelers can always go back or forward in time and change everything, except for some “fixed points” that can never be changed. So even if something like what I wrote did happen there would be something that would cause both rf to kill Barry’s mom AND Barry to save those people in the future.

_Refers to an incident that won't occur for another 170 years_
"It's too late"
To Thawne it already happened.
Bro, some people accept violence and embrace it and do not want to change. Thawne was completely self absorbed
Every barry shares the same trait. Empathy and the wish to help their enemies.
Even if both wants a better life, I believe they cannot change their paths without causing so much for everyone else.
His eyes were tearing he has a part were he wanted to end this but the negative speed force said now
part of thawn probably wanted to end all this but the negative speed force says no
“….& you wouldn’t have embarrassed me in front of my first girlfriend.”
Wait What-💀
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 oh hellllllll
There’s only one who can use the forbidden Talk-no-jutsu and it’s not you Barry
the word petty was invented for the reverse flash
Ciore + Clixil + Frague + Velocity = the best flash editors in the multiverse
You forgot flyhack and flawwz
Best suit of em all
I would have just said let’s go back in time and stop “me” from saving that crowd and tell your past self to do it at this exact time and to stop past “me” from getting to the crowd.
Barry How is he Alive after 100 years ?
Time travel, They sped into the past. Then preceded to talk about the time that was once present
Time travel
I love that berry was willing to throw it all away, his life just so reverse flash could have one too he was willing to change the time line for thawn
Some people have gone so far that they can’t come back, Thawne was so mad that he didn’t want to be better he just wanted to make the person who stole his spotlight suffer, it was too late for him
Imagine if grant got cast as the new DCU flash and they used the 2020 real time-line flash.
Has reverse flash ever thought about just going to a different world/earth and starting a new hero life there? I would think that’s the most logical thing 🤷♂️
He is the most petty person in the multiverse, there is even a story where thanos met a "man in yellow " and found him so petty that he decided to torture a random guy to balance the multiverse.
smh
Bro this episode was awesome I just saw the episode i can't believe that it's ending😭
Bro tried to talk no jutsu reverse flash 😂
Me still wondering how Barry lived for an extra 170 years💀💀😂😂
I want there to be a scene where its actually a future rf that saves the city in flash costume to create himself
But his ego & hubris got in his way.
@@jamess069 no, he was already the Flash before any of that. For their to be a time traveler time must first unfold normally. Therefore there would be a timeline from before season 1, where Barry never interacted with any version of Eobard Thawne. Barry becomes an even bigger hero than he is now, so much that he's still known and even idolized in the 23rd century (25th in the comics). He disappears in 2024. Where did he go? Forward in time or back in time or outside of time. Remember, it was Barry somehow going to the future for some reason and ending up saving a crowd Thawne was going to save. But this Thawne claims he just became Barry's enemy because he time travelled and saw that he already was. Those are two very contradictory stories. So it would only make sense that it happened one for the first Thawne and another way for the second.

I’m glad someone came up with the idea of fixed points in time for time travel stories and canon & non-canon stories. Otherwise everyone could rewrite everything they didn’t like about a story and it would be canon.
wish they had given thawne a family and when flash came to future, saw him before he did what he did, called him out, he loses job, family, becomes the villian, woulda been a sick orgin story

@@Joshuaxgarcia4 what?
Your tripping bro that was like the highlight of the episode
Yeah and what was with that crystal like some Savitar shit. Savitar only had to use a stone cuz he was trapped in the Speed Force but the regular Speed Force can manifest in the real world without a crystal so why can't the Negative Speed Force 🤦♂️
I’m actually shocked Thawne couldn’t hear how stupid he sounded when spoke his issues out loud
Still this proves why Barry is a real hero
When the player chooses *talk it out* on the action prompt
A real hero wouldnt be that mad for not getting the credit
bro really dedicated his life to destroying Barry’s. killed his mum, patiently waited 15 years to torture barry all because Barry saved a couple people before he could🥴 definitely had smth wrong w him beforehand
I think its because his speedforce was the negative one, which amplifies all his negative emotions x100
This Barry is different from the other and that’s because the other Barry is from an alternate timeline where he had chased reverse flash back in time to stop him from killing him as a child this Barry didn’t travel back he was put there and events happened the point I’m making is different events are going to happen but one thing that is certain is his mom will die no matter what

Bro im only on armagedon 💀
Next is season 8 and two months or weeks season 9
I like this song it fits in perfectly since Barry and thawne are talking about how he stole everything from thawne.
Reverse Flash's suit is awesome here.
They finally mentioned the 170 years thing!
"Do you remember that day [...]" No, he doesn't. It didn't happen for him yet, Barry. Stop messing with the timeline.
He does remember
( @@MarvelandStarWarsProductions ) He remembers because it is a plot hole. Thawne only said that in Season 8 during Armageddon. This Thawne would only remember the story he told all the way back in Season 2, when he discovered the time Flash comes from. The only way for this to make sense is if the Barry from the original timeline did the exact same question for Thawne, which is something we don't know if happened or not.
@@lobardodelainternet4253 he somehow remembers a lot of stuff. Probably leaned it through his time journal that doesn’t change when the timeline changes
@@lobardodelainternet4253Dude, it HAPPENED to this Thawne. It’s all the same one, why would the 8x05 description be so accurate according to 9x10 Thawne?
Barry, why do you want to save THAWNE?! HE'S YOUR WORST ENEMY AMD FEAR!
@@yancylake2019 This version? You mean Thawne in his real face instead of Wells face?
@@realalphaverse Yes, well...no. I mean the Thawne that travelled back in time to kill Barry as a child. Who hasn't spent time as Wells and gone through the events of Seasons 1-8.
@@yancylake2019 So he is the original Thawne, the one from erased future when Barry gained his speed around the year 2020.
@@realalphaverse Yes, exactly. He's the actual Thawne that took Wells' identity and then died because Eddie shot himself in the S1 Finale.
Flash is using talk no jutsu now
The hatred blindfolded him to his own destruction or loss
What episode?😊
S9 episode 10
His rage & ego ended up blinding him in the end🥺🤷🏾♂️
"Don't you see, we only just cause eachother pain"
"Barry I'm every bad day you ever had" Man literally exists to make him feel pain
Barry really said I have no enemies
Flash villains are just children with hurt egos

Best episode of season 9
As a little kid I was fascinated by the Reverse Flash, I remain on his side even after everything he did.
Matt and Tom are the best reverse flash ever
Jealousy and envy will cause good men to fall into cruelty and wickedness.
Thawne is a big fat very fast baby.
This moment is deep
I tried this show many times but I couldn’t get over how often Barry gives a sappy monologue like every 20 mins
Tbh if eobard and barry teamed up they would be great friends
Flash has the talk no jutsu
cant belive thawne killed barrys mother over some credit and saving people, pettiest man alive
Bro how was Barry alive 170 years from now
barry tried talk no jutsu
Thawne really gave into his hate and said no I will kill you
He doesn't have the talk no jutsu riz
I wonder how Barry was still alive for one-hundred seventy year unless he time traveled or stayed in the speed force
Barry warned him. And of course Eobard didn't listen.
While on a flash reel let’s talk about how reverse flash turned that short cicada season into a WTF and had us ready for the next
He couldn’t just chill with his speed
This episode just made 10 times better
“IT WAS ME THAWNE”
Bro tried talk-no-jutsu
All Barry would have to do is go into the future, tell himself not to save the crowd.
Talk no jutsu doesn't work on a petty god
It’s really funny to because i never truly understood why time travel was so confusing the one reason I love this episode is because it helped me understand why people say that. every time Barry has done a time change like flashpoint or saving his mom was SUPPOSE to happen so there never was a new timeline it’s been the same one since the start which is kinded crazy but sad that Barry has no freewill everything he does is meant to…
Bros is trying to use no talk jutsu.
Talk no jutsu doesn’t work on him lol
