This movie is actually incredible. The story, animation, music and the use of characters. Fantastic. Loved this film growing up and it is still one of my favourites today.
I remember hearing this while Ryu just walks on the highway at the end....so calm and so relaxed. He's walking barefoot on the highway to his next adventure, his next fight. There should've been a sequel.
Perfectly Executed for an Ending though. Since we play the game or know of the story behind the Movie. It leaves you knowing what's ahead of Ryu but at the same time Giving no Clue to What End.🧡🙏
This still gives me goosebumps, and inspires me to find my purpose, to fight each day to be better than I was the day before. Ryu inspired me to begin practicing the martial arts, and is an inspiration to me even now....
@@SolidAbdel39 about to be 40 and this never left me. We had some really great animations back in the day that taught great human values even as kids so we can grow into the adults of today. i actually look up to Ryu as inspiration not just because i love street fighter but because he is so dedicated to his training and determined to be the best of the best and to push himself beyond the breaking points of his limits.
Bad interpretation of the character. It is not about being "the best" or "better" than others but to be today a better version of yourself than yesterday. Comparing yourself to others is not the way.
I remember when I heard Street Fighter II was coming to ps2 and it was £20 when I was 13, coming from a poor area in London It may aswell of been £200, you only got stuff on your birthday or Christmas. I entered a pool tournament at the local youth club that had a prize of £20, nobody wanted to win as much as I did I was on a mission, I beat everyone. I bought it right after I won and this movie came with the game. I imagine this music to that me on the journey to getting the game haha
I love this one! I like to listen to this when when I wanna calm down or work concentrated on something. Anyone else feels reminded of American Kickboxer with Jean Claude Van Damme? :)
This anime, even today, for me at least, has the best fighting scenes. All because the voice acting, sound effects, and music tied it all so perfectly. This movie was epic.
When I was training I used to play the movie and put this part on repeat. Even listening to it now I can feel, I guess the spirit of Ryu. Lol I'm an idiot I know, but Ryu is the reason I began practicing the martial arts. Thanks for putting this up family.
One of the best theme music in anime n the first anime I ever watched when I use to sneak downstairs at 3am to watch anime on that channel Bravo over 20 years ago n I use to record them for my little brothers to watch. Memories!
This brings me back to that one day, I was so stressed from all this crap I took from a lot of people... I found myself walking down this street for like two hours with this song stuck in my head. I didn't even realize it, I just watched as everything passed me by. I felt like I finally had some sort of direction... no direction... I couldn't explain it... Ahh well lol... A true story, but whatever... Great song, it definitely describes Ryu... If only I could be like that...
Wow I cannot believe after all these years, I finally stumbled upon this. I have seen this movie when I was 13 years old and now i'm 28. There is no word to explain how Street Fighter influenced my childhood. This song is Epic! Thanks a lot!
I saw this movie when I was a kid and always want to go a place in South Asia. Right now I'm in Thailand traveling in a train from Chiang Mai to Bangkok and I'm listening this music and is beautiful.
ive watched the movie 10 years ago on a video tape. i remember me watching this scene over and over again when ryu was climbing on the hill and this song was playing. by listening to the song i had goosebumps all over my back. now 10 years passed and i still have them running down my spine. this movie is a fucking perfection and masterpiece! more than perfect music and voice acting.
SF FTW! ryu, u da man(Ken is my fav) I've been looking for this song for the longest! thnx for putting it up and I loved the movie, it was a fav of mine, still is
I remember two scene from that track, the first is when he's practicing his Shoryuken and the second is when he's climbing the cliff of a mountain. Still got the VHS.
I just got too say when I was growing up playing these street fighter game when it came too playing with ryu or ken my friends always told me why do I always pick ryu or ken they knew I was very good with the both of them and everyone else but ryu and ken was my favorite one too use in street fighter and my friends got tired of me playing with them because I was always unstoppable with them and they always ask me too play with other characters other than ryu and ken so I giggle a little and start using other characters just for them
There is something magic out there in the theme. Blue fire tongues. I guess inspiration for this music were Everest, Nepal and India, Buddhism all together
it had some of the best fight scenes i've seen in ANY film. Really well directed, edited- beautifully animated and had cracking soundtrack. way better than the nonsense alpha movie
my favorite theme it gives me hope and tellls me to never gives up and always believe in yoursell no matter what this theme it very inspirational it helps me get through the days months and ears
If only Hollywood would understand Animation storylines can make Big money if done correctly. No real life actions needed when you have DC making a prime example out of their Animation movies.

@TheGrreatDane Dude, it's like I'm reading my own words there! I'm 28 too and Street Fighter has been huge in my life as well. I've been searching for this soundtrack for so many years and today I finally got it. It's awesome stuff, and not just for the nostalgia.
thank you very much, kind sir. Quite possible one of the most awesome anime movies of the 20th century, in both language versions. I am a big opponent of changing a movie's soundtrack, but this is the one and only exception. Both versions are enjoyable in their own ways (but this English version will always remain near and dear to my heart) again, thank you very much
