Wow, this is such a great video! I'm doing so well right now! I'm painting this for a little girl that loves some flowers.
Edit: the lemon yellow goes really well on top of that first yellow with the brown in it. It adds really nice highlights with that. Also, instead of using a toothpick you can break off the end of a Q-tip and use that to dot on the little seeds and stuff. That worked great for me because I had no harsh edges or anything and I could keep dabbing on top.
Thank you very much for the Q Tip. lol

Darling,
I watched your video painting a moose, I find it very interesting to see how you paint. So I decided to paint a moose too, I am painting in class. We have an excellent teacher. As I was painting along and my teacher comes and tells to do a white wash when I’m done. Been an independent painter and I take pride in it. Because I am such a proud person and I didn’t want to ask question. I wanted to know what white wash mean. Please help. Thank you darling. I really enjoy watching you paint darling. You are phenomenal painter.
Thank you very much Geri, I am so glad you enjoy my moose tutorials, I'm not sure why your teacher asked you to do a white wash, that could leave a white haze on your painting, maybe she meant a varnish to protect and beautify it.. I would ask her if I were you, I would like to know myself....it's all a learning process so don't be afraid to ask lots of questions...
Great video. Do you dry each coat of paint between layers? Thanks
I like to work wet on wet so the paints blend, and if the paint dries I may have to put extra paint on, for example more yellow and then the shadow colors to help them blend into each other.. but you can work with the peddles dry, you just have to be careful not to cover to much of the yellow peddle.. I hope that helped..if not, let me know..
Thank you for your excellent tutorial. May I ask what brand of paint you used? I am having to use 3-4 layers just to cover the canvas, before I start adding orange, brown, all the details etc.
I love Liquitex, and Daler and Rowney..They are easy to work with, no smell, vibrant colors, and covers well...you can check them out here: www.amazon.com/shop/allisonprior/list/O4V4V7R2MNY
Can I draw it out with a pencil instead?
You can use whatever you want, markers, colored pencil, pastel.
