  • Okay, so one of the things that has been advertised about the Nama J2, other than it's absolutely amazing juicing abilities, is also how easy it is to clean. I'll put it this way...yes, it is super easy to clean, especially the strainer. It isn't nearly as difficult as other strainers I've cleaned. But did you know there is a "problem area?" Yup! Watch the video and I'll show it to you ;)

Hi I always give it that exact same thorough cleaning. The only difference is that I actually use dishwashing liquid & carefully clean the blade. For me I don't trust washing it out in plain water. I use soap on every piece there is. That is why I don't use my Nama J2 everyday & fresh fruit & vegetables are getting more expensive. But that is a great tip on that crevice in the hopper. I never realize that, but will be doing that as well. That is a wonderful tip. Thank You....

I totally agree! Washing off with water only isn't reliable at all. Even if it's just a little drop of soap, I always use it. And no problem! I just happened to notice that part of the hopper one day and thought I'd share it 😁

You are the first person I have heard mention this about the difficult area to clean. Thanks for the tip. I just ordered it!

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I recently got the Nama and I spent so much time on this hopper part to thoroughly clean it out. You're definitely the only person who has mentioned this issue, because other videos always show how you can clean it in under 3 minutes but this issue takes me 10-15 minutes sometimes just trying to get every little gunk out. Really appreciate your tip

A very thorough video, brilliant idea of using of the floss twig back end to clean the crevasses of the hopper. Thanks!

Hi, I have the nama J2 as well! First thank you for helping us for the sneaky spots that traps food! I use a bottle brush to wash all parts then touch up with dish rag if needed but the bottle brush is AMAZING helper! The flosser for that ridge on the bottom is really good to know! I never knew that! Thank you, thank you!!

I love people who get to the nitty gritty! Your video helped me decide between Nama J2 and Sana 727. I gotta have easy clean, or I won't use it, and the Sana is SO darn easy and no problem area. But I don't batch juice, so Sana just suits me best in general.

This is the only video that I’ve seen dish in that issue with food getting stuck in that part. Affiliates of course. Thank you for this. Ive only used the brush but u will try your tip. I also like to use a nut bag in the pulp container. I like to squeeze out any juice that’s left in the pulp… It mostly works for juicy fruit.

Great advice on the hopper. I also clean my Nama with soap and water every day that I use it. I’m going to check that crevice also!

Good catch! And that was very insightful and will keep down the bacteria that's left behind. I hope you have notified or contacted Nama about this minor flaw. Best regards and good health.
