A Greek Orthodox Sacred Chant to Holy VIrgin Mary
Agni Partene is a Greek Genre, a holy chant used in Greek Orthodox Churches during the time of intercession to Holy Virgin Mary. Being nothing, I was fortunate to compile an orchestration and harmony for the same chant to venerate her holy name. Inspired by a Greek Orthodox Priest/ Singer Fr. Kubarnakos NIkodimos, I could utilise this hymn for the EnChristos symphony after contacting him.
When I requested Fr. Biju Mathew, Pulickal, ( affectionately known as Pulickalachen), who is a well known lyricist in MOC has most graciously agreed to write a Malayalam version also in this session. Seeking the prayers of the Holy Mother, I started making this hymn and God Almighty has given the opportunity to present this for the Symphony event En-Christos for the first of its kind in MOC, organised by St Marys Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Bahrain. I am not certain whether I would get another chance in my life to perform it once again accompanied by a classic Police Orchestra from Bahrain and beautiful trained choir from the church.

History of this Holy Hymn
St. Nectarios was a Bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church throughout the late 1800s, and early 1900s. Throughout the period of his episcopacy, he spent much time in prayer and contemplation, and dedicated himself to the monastic life. His spiritual lifestyle, and his particular dedication to the Virgin Mary inspired him to write a wide variety of religious poetry, much of which was published during his life, and after his repose in 1920.
One of the many poems he wrote is "Agni Parthene" or "O Virgin Pure". According to a tradition passed down on the island of Aegina, St. Nectarios reportedly composed the text for this poem after having seen a vision of the Theotokos in a dream where she asked him to record this poem. The original script can still be viewed on his prayer table in his bedroom at this monastery.
It was later published as a poetic hymn for non-liturgical use and private edification in his publication called "Theotokarion of Odes & Hymns for the Most-Holy Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary" of 1905, which included many other similar poems - Hudba
I am a Roman Catholic from Asia. The Holy Orthodox Liturgy will be celebrated one day in Hagia Sophia and the whole world will listen with tears as the Agni Parthene is sung from Hagia Sophia. Lord may that day come soon.

Bible says there is only One True Faith: Eph 4:5. So let's clarify at first that ecumenism is one of the greatest heresy ever heard, and is one of the biggest blasphemyes.
You can't be Christian by believing LIES about God, lies like
-Pope the head of the church, when Bible says in Eph 2:20, that Christ is the Head. Who do catholics worship? God or pope? If God, how can they make a human the head of their church?
-Mary born without sin, when Bible says only Jesus is born without sins.
-Baptizing children by splashing, and not by bathing as the Holy Canons and the Pidalion say, and making Baptize invalid (catholics were part of the Orthodoxy when the Holy Canons were written, and they still claim to have and follow them. Then why they modify what God has clearly said?)
- Saying that the Holy Spirit comes from Jesus too, when Jesus Himself said that Holy Spirit comes ONLY and ONLY from the Father- John 15:26
And so on...
About protestants, it's even useless to talk, when they say not to hail Mary and Saints, but the Bible says Joshua worshipped an Angel- Joshua 5:14.
I don't want to hurt someones feelings, and i'm not an extremist. I only follow what Bible says. You can't be a Christian by believing lies about God and by being a member of men-made churches. God's Church is Orthodoxy. Come back home, we are waiting for you. God asks you to come home, in His Chruch- read Revelation 18:4

Father, This is such a beautiful chant. I'm a Malayalee Catholic and I loved the Greek and Malayalam version. It captured my soul from the moment I heard it first. Once I heard it on loop, till 3:30 am! Didn't want to stop. It moves the soul, brought me to tears..Please post the Greek lyrics, in English, so that we can all sing it too.

The pressure that could be exerted is at the political field and not in the form of retaliation. I think that they are rather indifferent to the most important place of worship of Orthodox Christians.

These dogmas were the basis of the Apostolic Orthodox Catholic Church at 5th century AD . That's why modern Catholics are Orthodox too and modern Orthodox are Catholics also . So to be correct today we have to say Romancatholics and Greekorthodox . In the united Orthodox Church we have the first split before the Ecumenical Council of Chalcedon (451 AD) and the second split at 1054 AD.

I'm reading "History of indian philosophy" by Sarvepali Radhakrishnan, but when walking I sometimes get into catholic church to spend a while in quiet and peace; in the evening I sit and practice meditation based on adwaita vedanta and in my library books about Buddha stay in row with others... And this heavenly beautiful rendition of Agni Parthene accompanies me even during my work...

I am from Ethiopian orthodox and I want to say a few word Indian Orthodoxies you are a feature of India. there are millions Orthodoxies and you can be disfavoured by other religion followers but that makes you strong. We can take Coptic's as example before 97 years the percentage of Coptic's in Egypt is 0.2% but know a days the 10% of Egypt's are Coptic's steel Coptic's church is burn but it makes them strong more.
