For anyone not wanting to see another tutorial on basing. Actually mini painting starts 15 mins in 😅
One of the best tutorials I’ve seen through without waffling! Great work and craftsmanship mate, cheers
This is an absolutely fantastic tutorial.
I wouldn't be the best painter but this is so easy to follow with simple techniques it gives the illusion of me being good. Never painted nids so it's a great introductory video
With the amount of nids in levi, you might aswell pre-mix a 1:7 vol pink n contrast medium in a 30ml bottle
Keep the leviathan vids coming! Going to copy all of your tutorials next week!
A very nice tutorial for painting up the nids. Almost inspired to start putting mine together... almost
Hey, I just want to say thank you for an amazing video. Great work!
Such a cool and easy scheme, I got to give it a try! :D Neat hack with the Shyish Purple. :) Thank you so much!
Really hope you make a tutorial for the Barbgaunts. Great video!
Cool tutorial. 👍
I have adopted scheme for my leviathan nids. However,I have found that mixing 2 parts slyish purple to 1 part medium for the first layer of the carapace gives a more pronounced edge highlight effect when you go back over the armour recesses with neat slyish.
Thank you so much for this. Leviathan has been my favourite Tyranid colour scheme since the 90's and I'm definitely going for this one with 10th. Your tutorial could'nt be more well timed. I got hold of all the paints to apply it straight away when.I get ahold of my copy. Thanks again and cheers from France!
Really loving these tutorials will you be releasing any for the marines side?
hi, happy holidays. What brush are you using for the carapace?
I love these tutorials, I literally couldn't get the Volopus pink to be that shade though, no matter how much or little I mixed, mine are way pinker/darker at that stage so I'm guna just dry brush the hell out of them with wraithbone if not start from scratch
Sounds like you didn't water it down enough with the medium. At such an early stage simply give them a respray with the wraithbone if you really not happy with current shade🙂👍
it's great that everybody is getting on the leviathan box.. around my area all the contrast paints for this colour scheme have been sold out.. XD how is that for an excuse for the pile of shame.
Really nice video but what about the primer?Just wraithbone cover is enought?
Rather than using wraithbone at the end to highlight would it not be quicker to dry brush the whole model with wraithbone after applying the first contrast paint? This could also increase the edge highlight on the armour once the purple contrast is applied?
Cool scheme :) What other models will you be adding to the new Leviathan army next?
Thanks. I've a full 2k list proposed in our latest Army Development video live on Membership:)
Question about the shyish purple carapace - are you watering it down for the first layer at all? When I try this the first layer is quite messy and the paint doesn’t seem to move away from the edges well. I think it dries very quickly in the room I’m in….
I watch a differnt Vod from you, where you talked about your revolutioniere Contrast + Leviathan Paintsheme.
So i watched this Video... and its as basic as it gets!! And where ist the + from. Contrast + ?
No offense but 1 Layer Contrast? I hope you see what im saying.
Keep up the good work though! 😊
Do you prime the model with wraithbone after the model is fully assembled, or do you prime sub assembly? Cheers
It would be very good if it also had audio in Spanish
How did you spray the base brown and the model wraithbone without the colours going all over each other?
Pretty sure I detail that in this video. If not I explain fully in the new Screamer Killer Tutorial:)
nice!
Love the scheme but I can't replciate it for the life of me.. The diluted pink gets spotty and not smooth and the purple contrast is way to opaque so I need to go back and do edge highlights anyways :(
Great video as always. I much prefer your paint scheme to what 'battle-ready' Leviathan Nids GW has posted over the week, hardly any contrast and to be honest they look shit really. Ironic really as i know she can paint much better than that! Their carapace looks flat and has little depth without a wash or a contrast paint. Sorry love your video but then ended up empty my bowels on GW.
