When I was younger (back in the early 90s), a friend and I went through all the possible lines of the Fried Liver because we liked cheapos (that's what we called cheap traps) and black was always better if you played it right. We started completely destroying anyone that played the Fried Liver as white. It was usually that they didn't know all the lines that we did. But every now and then, we would find someone that would know some of the best responses by black and they would still lose. Too bad I don't remember all the lines. It'd be interesting to see what the engines say now.

3:25 You can get mate in two here depending on which of the three squares black moves to. If the king moves to either d6 or d7, then yes, move the queen and all that like Levy said. HOWEVER, if they move their king to e7, you simply move your queen to f7+, black’s only move is king to d6 at which point you play knight e4# and the game is over. It’s actually a pretty beautiful checkmate

It's usually after 4:42 when people start running out of theory as black. The key as white is to memorize all the perfect moves at least 10-12 moves in to make fried liver work.
