We've found that our local library offers museum passes for a few places nearby, so we take full advantage of those. Some of the museums here (I'm in Indiana) also have free days or homeschool special days where they majorly discount the admission fees!
Our local library has the same passes for museums and the local zoo! Also located in Indiana.
Yes that is something I forgot to mention. Our librarys just started doing something similiar.
We do some things you don’t but mainly because we have found more affordable options. Example, our local zoo is $50 for the entire year and we could go everyday as it’s only 20 mins away and dance is only $58 a month instead of gymnastics which is $147 a month where I live. I agree with so many things tho!! I’m a unit study mom at heart but my kids are notttt 😂 and prepping food is a life saver !! Please do a video on it, I’m not on any other social media.
❤️
The free extra curriculars that you listed were very helpful. I am always looking for art and music. We have done paint by number kits and enjoyed them, but I would rather do as free as possible. My son does take taekwondo (I have 4 boys but only one school age, he is 13). We hike and visit the city a lot (we live near Philadelphia). I have 2 kids with special needs, and they have medical asst and we can get into most museums in Philly for $2 per person or free through a library pass. The great thing about my son's taekwondo is that he won private lessons, a free month and uniform in a homeschool field day raffle. The taekwondo place is right around the corner from my house, so we can walk there. It is $100 per month, which is pricey, but I noticed that he is improving with his focus. So it is a win-win for us.
That’s amazing
This is a great video, Katie! I don't buy the glitter but it finds it's way here anyways. :P
Haha love that
glitter is evil, stickers and playdoh dont get brought into our house no more, i think markers arent gonna be anymore
lol
I buy glitter glue so that we can use it without the mess as we travel school it’s not a good idea when staying in hotels!!! We only go to my aunts zoo in Queensland and they do a lot of animal rescue work!!! We have never used classroom decor as we pulled out our older kids from school and they asked for no classroom decor so we’ve never used it and i think it’s working for all my kids!!!
❤️
I don’t buy the glitter, family members that had to suffer through me as a creative kid sneak it to my daughter 😏
😂
