I find the lack of diagonal stairs the most frustrating part of this challenge.
Mine is coming along slowly. I put that nonsense in Strangerville where crazy builds belong 😂
My skills are horrible
My ideas for the Bingo would be:
- A skill building room
- Cupcake mashine
- Bookshelf door
- Cowplant
- Cat Café
- the murder Pond from get famous
The Tragic Clown painting
A Hot Tub
Snowy Escape's Hot Springs
Knitting/Cross-Stitch Nook
Bowling Room
Theatre Room
Animal Sheds
Contrary to the title, working on this shell gave me the most fun I had playing the Sims in a while. I really love what I built, an artists family brick house. I think I will play in it, too.
I had so much fun with mine and then I might do a mini fixer upper after it's on the gallery. I'm going for a haunted/vampire/Victorian vibe.
Off topic: I wish we could add interior decorators to the “hire a service” option in the Sims 4. Like if I’m too lazy to renovate the house my Sims just moved into, it would be so cool to hire an interior decorator to do that for you!
Oh, that would be terrifying! You know they'd be awful and either have two pieces of furniture or everything would be clipping.
You could always try posting on the gallery and tag it as a fixer upper! I for one love that kinda stuff :)
You already know they’d screw it up, thinking bathrooms were bedrooms
i appreciate the idea but that would be SO GLITCHY, and even if it technically worked nothing would match and it would look terrible
sees thumbnail: oh it doesn’t look that bad
*it’s on a diagonal*
I'd love to see you do a "random wallpaper challenge," sort of like the random color challenges, where you build a home, layout the rooms, but then, for each individual room, you are given a random wallpaper you have to design the room around. You can be kind and let yourself choose the swatch, but wouldn't it be funny to get one of those really weird wallpapers and have to design around it?
Plus, for at least one stream, you won't have to listen to people telling you to put wallpaper in over and over again.
@@penguins776 For sure, but I thought "Wallpaper first" might already be far enough out side of Simsie's comfort zone for one challenge.
Me looking at the shell, being like: Oh, that's a nice shell for a modern building with lots of balconies.
Simsie: This one caused me so much pain.
Me: ??? Oh right, she'll probably try to put a roof on that.
Bingo card idea, painters dungeon that has only the necessities.
I personally would put it in the 3rd floor and hide the entrance behind a bookcase.
bingo card: a rubber duck; the frog rug; a creepy slime puddle from paranormal; the cupcake machine; an animal print themed room design; a hiding spot in the attic with a cluttered desk
I also ALWAYS do the wallpaper last. But I also always paint all the walls pure expressions in white first, so it's not just the default wall while furnishing 🙊
I haven’t included the golden toilet in my build but I feel like that should be on the bingo card
I’m almost done with my version. The roofing almost brought me to tears, but other than that, the floor plan came out pretty good. 😄😊
I did a neat trick in getting my roofing to work because my version is based off a vampire/Victorian style so I took inspiration from other roofs I seen.
I've already made my build for this challenge and we need to talk about how incredibly glitchy it is to build on a diagonal
I tried to renovate the base game gym from oasis springs it’s on a diagonal couldn’t get stairs to work. Got rid of it and made a spa.
"4 Seasons themed Bar"
"Every Room is a Different Country but im building a Mansion"
"Randomly Generated Museum"
Kayla: I’ve made the worst build challenge ever
Me: Is that a threat
Well.. Victorians96 favorited it. This... either leads to a house with multiple kitchens, or something possibly very yellow...
I am SO excited to share mine! I made a victorian estate. It was so hard, but it’s turned out so well 😍 thank you for these challenges, they’re so great for getting me out of my comfort zone!
Bingo card ideas!
1. Suit of armor
2. Avocado rug
3. Chicken coop
4. Woo-hoo bush
5. Baby Yoda
6. Golden toilet
7. Cauldron
8. Rubber ducky
9. Cowplant
10. Grandfather clock
you built my dream home lol
- lake check
- dark wood and stone check
- cozy areas
- open plan
- big rooms
- attic room
- bees and outdoor planting
-dock
I miss the “Don’t touch my walls” screaming 😂😂
I also miss that, but she has gotten so good at explaining what she means now, which I think helps not have everyone asking her the same question over and over again to the point of stressing her out and making her scream it, which is probably better for her mental health lol
@@brittknee1146 yes definitely! I love to see how calm she was (even in the stream where she build it)
This is my favorite exterior you've done in 2022. I'd live there in a heartbeat!
If you wanted to have your chat also have their own cards, there’s a website online that lets you make your own and generate a bunch and then you can link it. I think it’s bingo baker or soemthing. I know that Jarvis Johnson uses soemthing for his stream if you want to see what he uses! For suggestions I say-
Lot is in henford on bagley
Sectional couch
Planter boxes
Simsie, do a build where the wallpaper dictates the furnishing please !!! (As in: shell > wallpaper > rest of the house (furniture + landscape)
Yes pleaseeeeeeee!
She tortures herself putting off the wallpaper trying to find something to fit furniture she's already placed, when it is far easier to match the furniture to the wallpaper.
I actually loved doing this shell, even though it was definitely difficult. As soon as I saw it I thought it looked perfect for an apartment building. It's called Newcrest Apartments, if anyone is interested. 😊
This is one of my favourite builds from you, and the library from the last video was awesome too. Is it me or are you getting out of your comfort zone lately?
OMG MINE WAS AT THE TOP OF THE GALLERY WHEN SHE RECORDED THIS VIDEO
Mine is the Japanese one the Lilixtar!!! I'm so happy, I don't even care if sissies isn't able to tour it, just seeing it now already made my day hahahahahah
I'm so embarrassed, I was so sick I forgot to change the name to Japanese Apartments Complex as intended. Well that's life
Also, I loved and hated this shell, I belive its my favorite one so far
I do wonder.. does Simsie realize you're able to 'stack' stairs if you delete the filling beneath the stairs? XD That might have also helped in this one.
The house came out great even though the shell was not so great…
bingo card ideas:
• entertainment room?
some objects that could be fun to include: the 3D motionmonitor gaming mat, darts board, the foosball table, the button smasher 9001, cards table, DJ booth, karaoke machine, bubble blower, ping pong table)
• a greenhouse
• a sauna or other spa items could be fun
• basketball court
• dance floor
• an aquarium (i never have those in my builds)
• a treehouse for the kids
I think it could make an awesome little cathedral or something if you can use half walls to make towers
Edit- Just started making a wedding venue and I like it so far. Tbh I forgot we had wedding stories church vibes
What I love about Simsie's builds is that most of them are so realistic and pretty, yet very usable in the game itself. So many builds look absolutely magical, but are exclusively meant for looking at.
I think this is one of your best builds yet Kayla!!!! I’m gonna download this to play in! I LOVE seeing you out of your comfort zone! It’s so refreshing.
Please name one of the legacy challenge babies Adora they would be adorable!
i wish someone was as invested in me as you are with simsie naming a sim adora
I still want a baby named Prince so they can be the Prince of Bell heir 😭
tbh this is one of my fav houses u made, it's very unique and the backyard I'm in love with, kitchen too!!
I just love that you talk like u are my friend, and watching ur videos is making me feel like i am actually spending time with somebody:) xx
You can make everything look good!!! I love it like always ❤️
Review expensive real estate again please! I love hearing you roast those big tacky modern mansions.
I love the bingo idea! It's a great way to include everybody in the stream, even those who weren't lucky enough for their build to be chosen.
i think this is one of my favorite builds shes done. i absolutely adore the style of the exterior and the interior matches so well
Just finished mine!! Honestly so proud of what I came up with - went with a funky, modern nightclub and I think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever built. I never go modern and I never build community lots, this really got me out of my usual build habits. Loved it, super fun one!
I really enjoyed this challenge! It made me get more creative with my building, especially with the roofing. Oh, the roofing. But I ended up with a Britechester sorority I actually really like!
I’m so excited to do this! Thanks for another shell simsie :D
I love you put a bathroom by the front door. I see creators making their dream homes often and whenever I think of what mine would be, there’s a bathroom near the front door. I hope I remember to download this shell later and give it a go!
This was so fun to watch you do lol!! Watch your streams everyday and so excited for more!!!
These are my FAVORITE TYPE OF VIDEOS seeing how creative y’all are is soooo cool
This floorplan with the "diagonal" but actually straight kitchen and stairs are perfect👌👌👌
i Felt bad And then simsie posted, her videos fr Always make me happy :D
This is beautiful ☺️ way to go!
I don't know why watching this gave me an idea of something I want to try... A multi shell challenge. 2-4 "small" shells all on one lot and you can connect them but aside from that the same rules apply 😳
I love this shell, I've been working on it since you did it on twitch and it really is not that bad. I am making it a modern mansion turned tropical paradise (in Oasis springs).
I love your version of the shell!! So beautiful!
Ideas for the bingo card:
- Baby Yoda
- a lump of clay
- a creepy coffin
- Rubber ducky
- a toddler room
- a greenhouse
- Dishwasher
Kayla:this is the worst build ever
Me: is that a challenge?
After watching this video I was afraid it would be super challenging however once I got started it just came to me. Loved this challenge
Lists of things you can add to the bingo card🙈:
Ominous gnome room
Creepy basement
Evil scientist lab (in a basement)
The 3 P's :O
Room with a stash of money (money room I guess)
Balcony
Secret bookcase door
That's it and I like your vids :)
Honestly one of my favourite simsie builds! Can't wait to have a crack at this shell.
i love that kayla always waits until the last second to paint the walls and then just ends up painting most of them white
I never usually do them. But this one I’ve done before you’ve posted this video! And it was so hard. But so much fun. Xx thank you 🥰🙌🏻
I spent 75% of my day today working on this shell! My first shell challenge. It’s the best! Thank you!
Okay I love this one when it’s completely finished 😍
this is unrelated to the topic of the video but i just want to show my appreciation for the not so berry challenge. thank you so much for creating that. i went years being so bored and uninspired with actual sims gameplay, i tried a normal legacy challenge and just got bored really quickly because i couldn’t really think of my own ideas. but then i started a not so berry challenge and the stricter guidelines gave me more of a goal and it changed the game for me!! i’m already on generation 7/8 now and i’ve deviated from some of the guidelines at certain points but it has been so fun!
Your shell challenges are my favorite!
Ideas for bingo:
- cupcake machine
- talking toilet
- money trashcan
- microscope
- penguin tv
- duck
- baby yoda
- grave(s)/graveyard
- solar panel
- sad clown painting
I'd try this if I had this game installed! it looks fun, I love big houses even though they take a lot of time, the last thing i built in the sims was a sims 2 mansion so you can see why i would enjoy this
I don’t know why but it’s satisfying to me to watch you paint the house and put the wallpaper down last.
This build is so pretty and cozy. I'd love to live in a place like this irl
This is gonna be my first shell challenge!! I’m so excited!
This was so fun, even if it took me like 6 hours (I used a big lot I like challenges), I finally finished my Italian meets cursed mansion in England! I love it.
I’ve never done one of these before…so, this one is totally beginner friendly, right? 😅😝
Ikr omg my first was the last one that had a basement... and actually I never finished the landscaping 😆
haha i started with this challenge as well a few days ago, i do play the sims for a few years now. But i need to say it wasn‘t easy. and i just did the house😂nothing with landscaping or outside work 😂
Your finished build is so beautiful!
This was a lot of fun when i did it! I made a little spellcasters'/witch family's hand-me-down home! I've never built diagonally so it was a blast!
Gorgeous build omg! This would make my head pop off haha!
This looks like every single house ever in Michigan, like I’m not even kidding, 90% of houses not in like cities like Detroit are this
"I don't think I like it that much" loads in to one of my fav simsie builds ever
I did the challenge (called it Simsie Palace) and have been playing in the build. I actually love it!
It seriously is my favorite house you've ever made for a shell challenge, I LOVE IT
Part of me wants to attempt this build. Another part of me is anxious just watching this.
Ima have a go at this tomorrow after school. SO many ideas. For bingo cards you could put like rockets or different type of lots.
Just finished mine Grimmauld Manor if anyone wants it
I did my first ever shell challenge for this one and it was so hard. I also rarely build. Used the trick of hiding the bad with the landscape!!
Babyyyy I can’t even put a proper roof onto a completely square house when building. You all are so so talented lmao
I've got the outside and landscape right next to house done, time for inside then backyard..pray for me..the chimney already did the glitchy shadow thing and the stairs..omfg the stairs..
What a beautiful house! I'm watching this video after I made my construction and uploaded it to the gallery. I used the exact windows and doors from Seasons, the same fireplace and in the attic I did the children's playroom :))) But I made it a rental house.
2:40 Fiddling With The Stairs is my favorite musical 🤣
First time to ever cry because of a sims build, thanks bestie 🥲
This is the first shell challenge I’ve done, and I’ve had so much fun with it! I’m almost finished, and I’m so excited to upload it to the gallery
i think this is my favorite build you've ever done omfg this is gorgeous
My dream house must-haves:
1. An indoor pool surrounded by one-way mirrors and with good view of the sky
2. A couple of beds in different sizes and with different mattresses, so that I can choose where to sleep based on how I feel
3. Private cinema
Nothing much, you know
I love the house 😍 It's so pretty!
Omg a new shell challenge already I can't wait to participate again!!
I HAD SO MUCH FUN! ❤️✨️ Thank you for the challenge. I had to get really creative... made it into a maze house. 🙌
I started when you first put the shell on the gallery and it was a STRUGGLE. I still haven't finished it because I had to quit for a while so I wouldn't rage too hard at adding stairs. Can't wait to finish it and see everyone else's builds!
I literally just finished this build! It was very painful to furnish mainly because the ladders don't work in diagonals
Assign every wallpaper a number and use a number generator to pick a wallpaper for a room. Do the number generator again for the swatch. Then do this process for every room! Might encourage you to step out of your comfort zone.
Of course you post this as soon as I sprain my hand at work 😭 I'm scared
That’s looks really fun♥️
This was definitely a challenge yet I decided to randomize three packs to use for the interior xD it took me so long to finish but I really enjoyed the modern but cozy vibe I got going on.
I think piranha ponds and graves should be on the bingo card. Same with maybe some paintings or ways of furnishing/decorating/landscaping you use a lot? I think a lot of us are inspired by how you do your builds. Even more than we ourselves realize.
Oh, maybe inaccessible rooms and jail cells too? Jim Pickens vibes, you know.
I had a lot of fun even if i struggled a bit thank you Kayla this pushed me to try really hard and get outside of my comfort zone even tho i build a yellow suburban lol
okay but this is one of my fave houses you've done
Loved the "lake" (pond) house!
i have been waiting for the video since i saw it go up on the gallery! i have no idea how to roof that thing lol!
“I made the worst sims build challenge ever”
*sighs*
*opens the game*
@Almond Nut cuz it is mate
Lmaoo literally
@Almond Nut because it a "SAME" moment. Cause I definitely opened my game too.
