Conposer woke up ine day and decided to make the best field theme
Nah, the composers at Monolithsoft just rock when it comes to area themes
I like bionis leg more
My heart may never stop clutching Mechonis Field, but this is incredible too. Really good track.
@@mega20able does mechonis field count as a field theme?
@@gabeth1058 Well it's an area theme that plays during exploration so I think it is
This was actually incredible. After all the calm music from base game I forgot how damn hard their area themes could go
Their dlc tracks often hint at the style of music of the next game, so we might have more up beat area themes in a future xenoblade 4
@@pralenkaman8105 what? there was only one dlc story before that one, and I dont recall base xc3 being very jazzy.
@@pralenkaman8105 no they dont? torna and fr both sounded different to xc3...
@@pralenkaman8105 source?
@@amitaish1055 a lot of xenoblade 3 songs didnt sound jazzy, but had a lot of jazz/funk roots in the rhythm and such
Wasn’t expecting to reach the top of the elevator and just get whacked with this game’s version of the series staple; an incredible plains theme.
Same😂
The second this theme's main melody kicked in, I gasped.
Xenoblade 3's overworld themes are good, but with the exception of Millick Meadows, they're all on the quiet side and more atmospheric than anything else. I was craving that bombastic stuff that Gaur Plain, Mechonis Field, Gormott, Tantal and the other themes from the previous two games gave me, and we finally got it here. Absolutely stellar.
Lol I never noticed that there was actually only one rythmically driven overworld theme in the whole game.
Where is 2’s main melody in? Sorry I can’t hear it.
@@Magic_Ice What do you mean?
@@bootsnhopscotch oh sorry I misread it. I thought you said the second theme’s main melody like the second xenoblade’s main melody so sorry.
But I do 100% agree with you it’s peak.
not just the osts i felt like most of the locations didnt really feel that distinct, like in xenoblade 1 and 2 and even x each location was super different and memorable and in xenoblade 3 its just "desert" and "ice land" and "grass land" with few exceptions like the urayan mountains and the shimmering forest area in fornis
because of this i feel like even though its the best resolution wise its one of the worse looking xenoblade games, there just isnt as much unique environment stuff like xc2 uraya or mechonis interior or sylvalum thats shown in this admittedly very good artstyle (human models are at their best though)
This track already is giving me so much nostalgia somehow?
God help me 10 years from now
frfr
Welcome to how it feels being a XenoChad.
I well up hearing tunes from Gears or Saga. Now as a 35 year old I can add this to the list.
There’s little references sprinkled in the song, there’s at least a gormott ref. It’s awesome
Edit: gormott not format, damn phone
@@mosquitopyjamas9048 Isn't it referencing xenoblade 2 the area where u have to sneak on a ship with nia and at one point you pull up pyra on a rope?
It felt like something from XC1 to me, maybe that's why the nostalgia.
I stood at that elevator for a solid 5 minutes just listening to this track. The folks at Monolithsoft outdid themselves and I'm sure I'll hear even more bangers throughout this DLC. Happy gaming fellas
P.S: Finished the game and Alpha's them is *chef's kiss* a certified Xeno banger
Bro i did the exact same. I was at a loss for words at both the soundtrack and the view. I just ran around the elevator taking it all in.
I want up the elevator at night and as I got off the elevator looked around and was in awe😮😮😮 The scenery at night was beautiful. Like in xenoblade chronicles 2 at Uraya at night the soundtrack to that area and scenery was beautiful. Just like how this area is. Monolith soft what an amazing job you guys did on this series. Please surprise us with more games
I wasn't able to hear the theme that much until I began to approach the Chapter 4 trigger. The times I wasn't in battle was during night, so imagine first hearing this song take off as you reach the top of that Ether Line.
Same man it's so good
Dude same, I got up the elevator, stood there for 2 mins just taking it in, and whispered to myself “this is by far my favorite video game series of all time”.
Gaur Plains and Gormott had a beautiful baby
"Oh my God... IT'S REAL... IT'S REAL!!"
THE TREASURE WAS REAAAALL
After this I was feeling full O beans.
Every time I listen to this I'm reminded that we've got robbed. Xenoblade always deserves the OST of the year every time a new game comes out.
Can you hear?
They're saying goodbye.
THEY USED TO CALL ME THE DWARF KING BACK IN COLLEGE
And anyone who hasn't seen the video this is referencing is going to be hilariously confused XD
I CAME STRAIGHT HERE FROM RT TOO, SUCH A HYPE MOMENT
We yearn for the mines Dan.
I had literally just finished Future Redeemed when his video came out; when I heard it play I was like "OH [CZcams] YEAH!"
i love electric socket
I think enough time has passed to say this is the best field tune. This song IS Xenoblade
Got mad chills when this started playing
90% OF DWAVES QUIT BEFORE THEY HIT IT BIG. KEEP DIGGING. KEEP GAMBLING
Rule of thumbs for a new Xenoblade: THE 2ND AREA ALWAYS NEEDS BANGER MUSIC
Isn't the caves the second area for XC1?
@@micahbarrus8406 Tephra Cave doesn't count, you only use it to get to another part of the Colony 9 area.
@@wutmagna7222 i thought you went through it to get to gaur plains in the first place. You learn Monado shield fighting the spider queen there.
@@micahbarrus8406you do. But in my opinion tephra cave is part of colony 9 and gaur plain is the second main area.
@@duckymouth Honestly, I feel like Tephra, Colony 9 and Gaur Plain would all be considered part of one "Lower Bionis" Area
Funny story, I'd first gotten to the Aurora Shelf at night, which is a good theme all by itself. However, I'd just unlocked the nopon shop near the elevator and went in just as the time was changing.
I thought they really went so hard on the SHOP theme
😂That’s amazing. Imagine they just went all out on the shop theme. That’d be legendary
I hit the aurora shelf at night and while the nighttime music is beautiful, it turned to day and I just had to stop and listen and how amazing this track is
I am obsessed with the bit at 2:04, I wish there was more of that
Indeed, 2:04 to 2:19 bit is in my view the best part of the song.
Everyone is (rightly) reminded of Gormott and Gaur Plains, but the Tantal-style choir at 0:32 is what hit me hardest
Gormott also had choir
@@dugtrioramen should remind of tantal since tantal is part of the ragmos desolation, where this song also plays
This might be THE Xenoblade area theme
I can hear some motifs from Gaur Plains here. It’s soooo goood! I can’t wait to hear more going forward! I’m having a blast with the story so far!!
Where?
@L Yeah i thought it had the same feel as the Gormott theme.
0:21 that piano in the back is giving major Gormott vibes too.
The drums and the composition feels like Gormott if you listen to the beginning of each piece.
2:20-2:35 are Gaur Plains
2:35-2:50 are Gormott’s motiffs :)
As soon as i heard this track, i NEEDED to hear it on its own. This is a genuine masterpiece.
Currently playing through Future Redeemed and having one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had. I love everything about it and the music keeps getting better, how is it even possible. I'm abit afraid of finishing this because it's going to leave a big void in my soul, Xenoblade Chronicles have become one of my all time favorite game series! 💙
Kino beyond belief. This cemented it that my adventures as a kid playing Xenogears, as a teen playing Xenosaga, and now a adult finishing the Chronicles.
Kino is back on the menu and it’s all connected.
Vector industries makes radios
The radio was made by Vector? I caught the name-drop of Dmitri Yuriev but didn't pay attention to the radio itself. I'll have to check that out
@@cameronwilsey9334 the Yuriev drop made me lose it. Then I did a re watch and was told to look at the radio. Also they mention the Elderidge(sp) and apparently (since I haven’t played X) the ships that left.
Personally this end was for the old fans that are still here. It made me so happy, if you look in the credits Bandi Namaco got a special thanks, so maybe just maybe, we will get a Saga port, or Xeno4 will be the Saga we deserved. Regardless as an older fan I want to have faith and see Perfect Works completed in the creators lifetime.
@@scottyxscxrs5483 I have played X and I can't see how it can fit in the broader Xeno universe. Since dimensional hopping is an ongoing Xeno theme, X included, I can't rule out that linking them. But I don't see how X's history could be consistent with the rest, primarily since there are aliens and how human tech was simply modern shortly before Earth was annihilated.
@@cameronwilsey9334 personally it’s more Gears/Saga influence. That’s how I feel, it screams it if you know the lore drops. I’m sure another Xeno autist can fill the X gaps in that I don’t know, but from Matthew being Fei Fong Wong Pt2, KOS-MOS in the end falling to Lost Jerusalem, the vector logo on the radio, Dimitri mentioned, it’s just so much that I can’t say it’s not “interlinked”
Take the Xeno pill go down the rabbit hole. Even Alvis was like Deus final from to an extent.
@@scottyxscxrs5483 Seeing Jupiter as Future Awaits' flute played hit me hard. I was just waiting for a battered KOS-MOS to enter frame. Then there was that blueish glint teasing me.
And, yeah, Xenoblade 3 as a whole took a lot from gears and saga. It had a lot of gears' setting with sagas antagonist. Z even had the tertiary boss fights like Deus and Abel's Ark, though only two. Future Redeemed even got Joanne Hogg for the ending song
man Xenoblade has some of the best soundtracks in all of media
It's Aurora Shelf (day) if you want to rename it.
I just heard it in game, it's breathtaking couple with the view, had to search immediately if it was already upload.
That name makes less sense, though. This track also plays in the Ragmos Desolation, not just the Aurora Shelf, and this theme also fits pretty much perfectly well as THE poster theme for the Cent-Omnia region.
I remember getting to the top of the elevator and hearing this music, just stopping for a moment and thinking "now this is Xenoblade"
I like the more ambient approach to base 3's area tracks, but THIS is the iconic Xenoblade soundtrack I live for god damn it
there is no "iconic" xenoblade music we don't need to decide that Xenoblade music needs to fit any one style or else we would never get osts like X or 3
This comes much closer to Gaur and Gormott than the Millick Fields track.
Months later I can safely say this is for me the BEST field theme in the series bruh this shit is just TOO GOOD 😭😭😭
When I got to the Aurora Shelf it was nighttime and I immediately switched the clock to daytime because I knew how the developers wanted you to feel upon reaching it. And I'm glad to say I was right to do so.
Best part starts at 1:30. If you disagree, you’re wrong idfc.
best part starts at 0:00
This feels like if Gaur Plains and Gormott had a Son but Torna also had his Taste
How do they keep coming up with songs this good and constantly raise things to the next level? This song is crazy good.
Idk about you guys, but I really hear Gormott in this song!
it's GOTTA be Gormott mixed with Gaur Plain
@@voltzen1213 I do hear similarities between them all, but yet this is perfectly distinguished from other tracks 😉 this is such an amazing song!!
It is so refreshing to have an upbeating overwerworld theme again. Those in main game are more about with sad tone, maybe except Milick Meadow.
Even that was mostly emotional. It just had that one triumphant part in the 2nd half, but most of it was build up with flutes
Love 3’s somber area themes but not really bangers to blast in the car, y’know?
@@patrickshaw411I still blast them personally they're just as good with a few of them being my favorites in the series
I love this so much! Monolithsoft has created another god-tier game and soundtrack and finished with a banger DLC, and I couldn't be happier. This may be the end of the Klaus Saga, but it's only the beginning for Xenoblade!
Fantastic DLC
0:49 Get out of my head Bruno Mars D:
I can't figure out which song I'm hearing aaagh the first time i heard that section I was like wait a minute
I got here at night and didn't think much of the music. Then morning hit, and this stopped me dead in my tracks.
The composers in Xeno never miss
I haven't played this game or DLC yet so all i can think of when hearing this theme is "THE TREASURE IS REALLLLL!!! WE ARE THE PIONER"
3:05 GUYS WE FINALLY GOT THE “DUM DUM DUM”!!
Seems practically everyone just fucking stopped straight to listen to this the first time 😂
So did I, god this so good 😩
0:49 sounds like grenade by bruno mars 💀💀
this song made me stop playing for a sec and just listen to the music cause it’s so fucking goooood
This DLC has way better level design than the base game, The gigantic areas are ok only if you have crazy mobility options as in X for example, but for this style of exploration a smaller, denser area is better
The areas in xenoblade 3 themselves are not the problem they just did not add as much to do. There needed to be way more unique monsters imo.
@@kayden2119 that‘s my big problem with 3‘s exploration, it‘s not really rewarding. A lot of the resources you can find and collect just aren’t worth much. So glad Future Redeemed made every single thing you do while exploring feel meaningful
@@boredgoddesstori6635 its never rewarding in any game its about the fun not the reward
@@kayden2119 Future Redeemed and X are pretty rewarding though. And a big part of the fun (at least for me) in a Game is the reward I‘m getting for doing stuff
@@boredgoddesstori6635 what could they possibly reward you with. They really do not reward you with anything I do not know why you feel any different.
Tracks like this is why I listen to the OSTs before even playing the game
I got to this area at night, which was breathtaking, but the moment it turned day and I heard that theme creeping in: just, wow. It stopped me dead in my tracks, and when the chorus, I guess, hits, it stopped me all over again.
Best opening section to a field theme in a game ever.
When I first heard this, I knew I was gonna be in for an incredible experience.
Looking forward to the Silviagunner remix including Bruno Mars's "Grenade"
They cooked with this one 0:49
0:48 really sounds like Grenade by Bruno Mars
Is that what that song was? When I heard this for the first time, I kept thinking it’s the same tune as the song with the lyric “tossed it in the trash.”
Just finished the dlc, didn't want to listen to the ost before bc of spoilers, clicked on this one with the intention of posting this exact comment...
I am not disappointed that someone pointed that out.
Dude for real, I instantly felt an air of familiarity but I was wondering for a bit which song it reminded me of. Then my childhood hit me and the resemblance is uncanny haha
This song made me cry
I love how the Future Redeemed tracks have proper endings instead of looping
People who said that Xenoblade 3 has bad Field music are real quiet rn
My jaw fucking DROPPED when I heard how incredible this was. First area themes in Xenoblade games never fail to blow me away.
Easily in MY top 3 area themes in the whole series.
What are the other tao

Gormott (Day)
And Gaur Plain (Day) of course! 👍
The evenings of July 28th 2022 and April 25th 2023, two days I don't think I could ever forget :')
When those Gormott chords hit...
i went into absolute shock the moment i got up that elevator and this played, like this is absolutely the best area theme in the xenoblade series, even better than gaur plains. i love this so much.
this is BY FAR my new favourite area theme in xenoblade wooooooooow
Sounds like something in between Gormott theme and the field theme from Future Connected. Beautiful!
Just got to this area and this track is soooo good! Super excited to hear the later tracks in the game!
They are many reasons why this theme is awesome!
Even from a non Xenoblade fan gaze, this is a really good piece of music. But for Xenoblade fans, it's even better because it's a culmination of everything.
First, it's the main field theme of the game that end the trilogy, so it makes you emotional already since the field themes are always some of the most famous ost in the franchise! You can hear glimses of Gaur plain and Gormott and this theme is still good enough on its own! + You play with Shulk and Rex , the heroes of the previous game, with new characters to really make an exciting journey. But at the same time, you just left other new friends you've made with the ouroboros gang.
It also hit harder because none of the fields themes from the base game had this style of vibrants tunes as xc1 and xc2 did. So it stand out even more!
This ost really bring me joy and tears at the same time because of what it implies! + I finished the game right before going in vacation in Taiwan and I had this music in my head while I saw beautiful landscapes
This theme stunned me right when I reach the spot and walk out the elevator. I stood there for a good five minutes to just soak it all in. Best moment I had in game in a while.
When i get up the elevator and the music started, i just stayed, and listened to this track. What a beautiful moment!!!
This is what i missed in the main XC3 game. The overworld themes were so non memorable.
they're all pretty memorable you just don't prefer the style of musiv it went for
Late to the party on this... but man... nothing will ever beat the feeling I had when hearing this song play for the first time. When I tell you that I had chills all over and that my jaw was on the floor, I mean it...
Easily the best song in the game, and for me, the entire Xenoblade series. The pure, unbridled feelings of happiness, love and excitement this song brings is unlike anything else I've ever heard...
rent was due
Plz tell me im not the only one that hears Gormott theme at 1:04??
PD: I just checked the Gormott theme and that bit also sound around the 1:04 mark on the Gormott theme as well wtf?! The attention to detail holy shit!
The timing of this music in-game is impeccable especially when you reach the top of the elevator.
This absolutely wipes the floor with all the basegame field music, and I'm all here for it. I love those little pieces of Gormott sprinkled in throughout the piece.
The late game field theme is even better somehow
They knew this would be their last time composing a field theme, and by god did they go out with a bang. Thank you Monolith
This music kinda reminds me a lot to Xenogears Map theme (Emotions). The feel is really close.
After nearly 100%ing this dlc, this song has been ingrained into my head. Not complaining though! I'm not normally one to go hard and 100% games, but this game was just so fun to 100%. (aside from fighting all unique enemies that were ridiculously high leveled)
How long did it take you to finish the game?
@@AadarshKumar-gu7ue Roughly a little over 20 hours while doing a good amount of side quests and mapping. This is coming from someone who knows a thing or three about these games though.
I'm with you. Don't really worry about side content till I come back to a game months later, but this one had me hooked
Two things in the base xc3 game that took a step back for me compared to the previous xenoblade games. The exploration music felt more muted and serious which admittedly fit the theme, and I missed the sheer beauty of a locale that took my breath away. Aurora Shelf fixed that for me
Exactly my opinion. Good analysis!
I agree with the music slightly but nah the locations were still stunning.
“Treasure! Nice.”
when i first played xc2, i considered gormott the sequel to bionis' leg as did everyone else im sure, but nowadays, i think bionis' leg and gormott are actually two different feelings and vibes, seeing them more as parallels to each other than an actual evolution of tracks. millick meadows tiny left me a bit disappointed since it gave me a deeper "gormott" feeling than it did a bionis' leg vibe, having this sound to it that captures that explorative atmosphere of beholding the wide vistas before you and being dumbstruck at its grandeur, which im sure was very much intentional with how millick is almost entirely just the remains of gormott, so im not upset about it. and especially now that future redeemed has given us this track, this to me sounds like the True Gaur Plain 2 ive been waiting years for, carrying this more adventurous sound to it, like running through the wild grass toward your next destination with purpose, just like the original does.
def best xenoblade area theme
Rex: Oof. My knees felt that!
0:48 I GAVE YOU ALL I HAD AND YOU TOSSED IN THE TRASH, =YOU DIDDD! - (Bruno reference)
Wasn’t ready for a new “Gaur Plains” level theme
Gaur Plains + Gormott (dominated by Gormott)
Millick Meadows is the same but with Gaur Plains dominating.
I'm getting some heavy gormott vibes from this, and I'm down for it
Banger
This gives me feelings millick meadows failed to give me.
this clears all the field themes in base game
This demolishes practically every area theme in the main game
Debatable. Erythia Sea is incredible, so is Eagus Wilderness. Its more upbeat for sure.
"Demolishes" how? It's more grandiose, yes, so what?
When it comes to being upbeat, yeah.
Seems xenoblade fans are having the breath of the wild dilemma. Its ok to like this song more but just because a song is more upbeat does not mean it is instantly better. Calm songs are good too.
This reminds me so much of Gormott's OST.
This is the true gaur plain and mor ardain theme of 3.
We will know it's name for certain.
at 0:50 "Gave you all I had and you tossed it in the trash,
You tossed it in the trash, you did (ooh-ooh)"
i'm gonna miss the name Aurora Shelf for this track :(
i know the title had to have changed recently cuz i jam to this one like every day haha
considering how this song plays in all of south cent-omnia, should it not be called that?
well, there you go
dang i was so used to it being known as Aurora Shelf, wonder where that name came from if it's supposed to be called Cent-Omnia Region
Aurora Shelf is a sub-area in the Cent-Omnia region, and is where you hear this track for the first time
@@thezekenator0968 oh, ig i forgot about that lmao
