With the results now public, I wanted to finally formally (semi-formally) announce another aspect of the results - the Arena and how it's being handled. Due to the sheer numbers of Entry Bosses and with Hindsight, its now down to a single Entry Arena, but unlike MaGMML2, this time is far more curated - and with the hopes of highlighting just what the judges consider a "Good Mega Man Boss".
Unlike other videos showing arenas, this one is commentated due to the nature of it. I also wanted some more practice at Live Commentary again, its been a while.

For the record, a 'Custom Arena' is planned that will allow any boss in the game to be added.
.. its just there's around 400+ entries in the boss database and that might take a while to actually sort out.

As a pokemon nerd, i can confirm Necrozma is mostly accurate!
He uses 4 moves:
Photon Gyser (the orb into the pillar) is one of it's signature moves.
Power Gem (the 4 rocks) looks almost entirely accurate to how it appears in game
I believe the slash is Metal Claw? This one takes a few liberties but it still works.
Finally, prismatic laser (the laser grid) isnt exactly accurate as to how it looks in game but it works well enough!
Fantastic bosses in general, however! Congrats to everyone who's bosses managed to get into this arena!
I love how he retreats into an Ultra Wormhole upon defeat.
the slash is probably meant to be smart strike, which never misses, so necrozma homes in on the player before slashing to represent that
@@mr.dudley3484 Eh, smart strike is described moreso as a "stab" in the games rather than a strike, and necrozma can only learn smart strike via tm (at least in gen 8)

Blessed be you for curating the arena a bit and making it shorter in comparison to the second contest. I don't think my sanity would have lasted if there were an arena with near 100 fights
there’s something like 400+ bosses so thinning the herd is absolutely necessary
For the record, you called miniboss 3 of the Refurbished Legion All-Stars "Emperor Peng"--it's actually Emperor Pepe, as the miniboss is based off of the Bomber Pepe enemy.

hey, I don't have to murder my Robot Master in the arena, bullet dodged~!
It's fine. had we managed to bang out the bug where charge shots double bounce when directed at the center of a reflecting surface and I not gotten stricken with the hubris bat, I'd probably have had a space here, but... honestly, the folks who did get in appear to be some EXCELLENT company to be amongst.
Yeah, I had someone else help with spriting Treasure Man, that someone being Valo. He did the base sprite as well as the chest open sprite, and I believe I handled the rest, which is why he might look a little jank.
NaOH also did the boss fight, which is why his rope technology bears a resemblance to the ropes in Quarantine Woman's stage. I'm definitely not good with coding bosses, so I'm glad his pattern came out well through her skills.
He animated fine, IMO.
Real cool showcase, all those bosses feels really professional! Still really eager to play it all when the day will come! ^^

At any rate, I imagine Rhoam's gonna have a field day with these things, and he is NOT going to find the Reploids a pleasing surprise... *Remembers that Rhoam has stated he will not play Mega Man X and has a major dislike of that series for some reason.*
Cassette Man's mugshot makes me think of that bird-headed heavy meme with big eyes going "Listen here you little prick!"
This is such a wonderful showcase. Almost makes me wish there'd be one for Mega Man fan games in general.
As for the "random game boss" Dark Wyvern, for a Little Samson boss recolor, he's just as good as the MM recolors Fracture and Yamato Man W.

How many entry arenas are there? Are there also arenas for entry bosses not in this one?
@@austinreed7343 This is the only '"main game" one required for 100% completion. Other entry bosses can be fought in either the boss gallery, a planned but yet to be implemented "Custom Arena", and endless.
