      Thanks and True! But Yamaha lists the engine hp and this is an estimate of the rear wheel hp next to the dyno rwhp

      Well i had my wr125x with IXIL full system and K&N airfilter on the dyno and it gave around 10/11 HP now it was running lean because i dont have a PC (thats 10/11HP on the rear wheel tho) *cool fact in a tunnel with the wind in my back i hit the 132km/u on my dashboard... ofc this is like 125km/u on GPS but still thats fast...

    The problem with tuning a WR engine is the head, it already is quite restrictive at 125cc’s.

    Did you break in that piston and cylinder? Pretty important when you want to keep your compression over longer periods of time! Sounds damn awesome

      @@blazexiytb I know I'm late, but yes. You need to break in a new engine. First 500 miles usually. Look it up, but every motorbike & new engine has to do it. Even if it's just been sat for a few months. You don't just get on it and max rev it. You need to let it run in slightly first, do an oil change (to remove gunk at the bottom from it sitting) and then you can ride like normal after a while.

      Dt is superold, won't be reliable & in like 1.5 years it will probably even be illegal in my country here cuz of moto inspections, emissions, also a dt doesn't even have road tires..

      I'd say if you've ever had a dirtbike and did the maintenance yourself (timing, clutch, piston swap etc), go for it. But if you've never done anything on a bike regarding the engine, i'd recommend going to a friend that has the experience or a garage.

    If you could play with the ignition timing, this thing easily rips to 12000rpm with peak power at about 10500rpm like all the 63mm pistons here in Malaysia. Power commander sucks, best if you can get a standalone ecu from southeast Asia.

      well ignition timing is not everything, camshaft timing has to allow the right flow at high rpms, too

    Get a 65mm block and throw it in there.. It'll fit i promise and a jack up crankshaft, it'll make atleast 40hp. the block is similar to Y15zr, exciter 150,Mx king 150..all basically same bike but yeah just for reference. in case you can't find it in the state, Malaysia is have huge selection of aftermarket parts for these engine we got custom cams and all

      Still going strong, no problems 'till now. It's always uncertain if the bike will take it, every engine is different.

      Cranckshaft is not same as camshaft? Cuz Malossi makes a camshaft too for this kit. I think that extra stress shouldn't be a problem, this kit has been installed many times on a WR so, but WR is already out of production for years and I don't like it very much cuz it's a heavy ass bike and it was really expensive too. My 125cc 4stroke, also a supermoto weighs like 40kg less lol, I think with this kit it would be crazy fast...

    5 hp isnt bad considering you stared with around 13 thats like a quarter over all power gain id be curious how reliable those kits are tho

    Hey, maybe a late question, but what MAP did you use after installing the PC5 did you get it dyno"ed straight away or programmed one from the dynojet site? If you still have the MAP (125cc)/(180cc) with full exhaust and K&N filter installed, is there a possibilty to get it from you?...

      I had it dyno'ed straight away. No standard map is sufficient enough for the bigbore

    My friends 50ccm bikr has something around 24hp but he got a 86ccm tuning kit and fully buyld for races but i think whit a better setup you could get something around 28hp

      If you maintain your bike properly, and more regularly than with 125cc, I really don't think it'll harm the engine. No guarantee of course because every bike is different.

    Did you put it on the dyno with the dB killer? If you put the dB killer back in you will instantly get at least 0.5 extra HP due to back pressure but with your 180 kit I imagine you’d be looking more towards 1hp, these gains may sound pathetic but I imagine it might help abit if ur planning on going as fast as possible on these little machines (I know this is true on most WR’s as I’ve seen many dyno sheets using this method but every bike is different)

      Stock they make 15 hp at the crank, not wheel. HP to the wheel is 9-12 on most 125's. Going from that to double is really fast. I'm guessing this guy has around 24 hp at the crank right now with the kit.

    Hows the torque so low? Is it because of the electric injection? I dynoed my 183cc husqvarna without a steeper camsaft and got 21nm and 18hp? Or is it that I have malossi piston instead of that what you have

      Could be the different piston, because the compression could be different so it produces more tourque or less

    My WR125x has 31K km on it now always changed my oil and filters on time do you think that would matter if I upgraded to 180 with camshaft? also there is a giant price difference in the kit that you use and Malossi do you think it is the same quality or wil the one that you use last a bit shorter, because i think malossi is just overrated.

      I chose for this one because it had good reviews and is way cheaper then the malossi kit and it had some good reviews to it. Also It's hard to say if your bike will or won't take the 180.
      Look around on what km's others changed the 125 to a 180. If some have changed it around 30k and still drive without any problems, why not? If not i would be careful installing it, without changing the bearings/ crank just to be safe.

      The power commander itself doesn't do much. With a dyno you can tune a map specific for your bike and save that on the power commander.

      I'm guessing you can, but you'll have to drill out the rivets to get inside. and cut the baffle out

      Oh thought you meant the catalyst, I removed the db-killer (alltho it was just sound absorbing material around the headpipe), but I don't recommend it really, you should get rid of the catalyst instead or get a full exhaust system alltogethere. I planned to just remove that cat on mine but now found out in 2 years in my country there will be inspection for motos too, then i will need the original exhaust (with cat), so i just bought the scalvini full exhaust for my fantic, better sound, more power etc..

      Didn't encounter any, just make sure you don't have a lot of km's on the engine. If you do i would do a rebuild. I had the racing camshaft in this engine.

      @@bekeneel actually, the WR has just been released in Indonesia. Instead of a 125cc engine, it comes with a 155cc engine. It's pretty much the same, but the engine comes with VVA (or in Honda's terms, Hyper VTEC).

    Is the exhaust legal without the dB killer??

      The exhaust is euro 4. So the law within the European union is that it has to have a db-killer installed. I don't know the law outside the EU but just watch for police and don't make a lot of noise when they're around. That's how I do it without a db killer

      I have a full arrow exhaust system and a k and n air filter and just installed power commander V so a map for that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

      @@zacsibley690 Hey! sorry for taking a while to get back to you! I got the standard PC5 map from the Dynojet website and used that to see how it ran, adjusted where needed & boom, there's your map! Note; I wouldn't use this forever since every bike is different and a dyno tune is always the best option.

    For the 180cc upgrade and comdand thing is it true that it all needs remaping or not I got the same bike and wanted to do it myself then I heard it may need remapping and put me off doing so

      Yup, that's correct. You need to dyno for it not to run lean and destroy your engine. if you go to a proper tuner, he or she can tell you everything about it

      Yes it will need fine tuning for results like this.

      @@kosa8164 I guess you dont have a dyno at home, you could try to download a mapping online but everybike runs different so I strongly suggest to go to a bike garage and let it be fine tuned there normally a dyno run cost about 45 euros but you wil need a couple before it is perfect.

      @@senkrzy5564 I would say yes, The top speed is about 12km/h higher but hits the rev limiter. So i think it will go even higher.

      sprockets are all stock. Front is currently 14 tooth, but i'm not sure what rear is.

      I have k&n filter and fmf exhaust. But still have catalytic converter. İt sounds good. I recommend buying k&n it makes difference.

      Depends on where u live. I live in Czechia (centre of Europe) and the limit here for 16yo is 125cc 15PS (11kw). Try to google it :)
