    You folks need to do another comparison between an RK 76, a Gold star JD Crowe and the Twanger, all setup by Mr. McDaris to his personal preference. Then tell us with some detail which is best, second, and third, and tell us why. In the same video. And a sound sample, with Mr. McDaris playing the same thing on each, while facing away from the camera. Might be very interesting. And then a sample on a genuine RB75. Hmmmmm.

      I've owned a Twanger and an RK-80. The RK has better fit, finish, workmanship, proportions, and uses standard hardware. The Twanger is less good in all these respects, except somehow it sounds a lot better. I don't know how they did it, but they did. Great stage banjo. I got mine before they offered the radiused neck. I wish I'd waited.

    Thanks for the recent banjo videos, both the performance and review videos, with Mr. McDaris. This banjo sounded pretty good to me.

    If your a beginner to intermediate like myself the Twanger is an outstanding banjo. Only a rich person or an extremely good player should consider spending more money. Awesome banjo.

      It’s fine no matter who you are. One of the best sounding banjos I’ve ever played. Better than some Gibsons I’ve heard for sure.

    This was a fun video. Cam you do a review of the goldtone bowtie?

    Does it come with a case? Does the Rk elite 76 come with a case? I prefer the inlay of the rk 76.

      Both come with a case, here's some more info about both:

    How does this compare to their Gold Tone OB-250+TP Orange Blossom Banjo With Tony Pass Schaeffer Rim Vintage Brown given the price similarity

    • @AcousticShoppe
      @AcousticShoppe  Před 11 měsíci

      They are very very similar in tone but aesthetically different. The OB-3 has a no hole tone ring, meanwhile the OB-250 does have holes making them tonally different. Realistically, the difference can be heard by some & can go unnoticed by others. Either way, both banjos could be set up to change their tonality, depending on what sound you're looking for. Hope this helps!

    I was thinking everything was supposed to be modeled off the "Banger", even the neck specs. Maybe not though.

      Honestly, as long as learning any instrument. If you already have experience with other stringed instruments it will come much faster to you!
