I love Felwinter's voice actor. He's exactly as detached as I imagined Felwinter to be. Maybe a bit higher than I expected, but it suits well. Even detached and monotone as he is, I enjoy that there's very subtle hints of emotion in his voice. Talking about his companions, talking about the future they want to build.

It makes sense, really. He supposed to be a Warlock (I think...most of his gears warlock exotics, anyway) so it fits. Weaponized curiosity mixed with being spawn of Rasputin...
I've imagine Felwinter voice more loud and cold, maybe something similar to the voice of Master chief. In that movie he sounds more like a hunter for me. I can feel things like arrogance, over confidence and amusement, typic of a Hunter character. Felwinter doesn't have those kind of things. He can't cause Rasputin create him without them. But it's my personnal POV, the movie is damn good !
@@jimmy9642 looking at the lore he outwardly acts like a hunter but when hes alone he shows his true colors as a warlock.

This really makes me want a whole series on the Iron lords. Great job as always Drexis.
Could you imagine an iron Lord show of the backstorian history behind the initial guardians in the dark ages and possibly even earlier
Or a prequel to Destiny. Less focus on galactic enemies and crazy powers, and more human-focused tales and battles. Could also be an anthology series.
They really took "Bungie hire this man" to a real level
Now all thats left is to Hire Byf as part of the lore team and the game will be stronger than ever!
Phenomenal work as always Drexis. It's sad to see that this is your last Destiny 2 fan project but I can't wait to see what the future holds. You and the team really put it all in for this one.

The movement of the ghost in Felwinters helm alone speaks tot the quality of the animation, nevermind everything else in it.
I need you to understand how much I appreciate this. Felwinter is my absolute favorite character in destiny lore, and you did such a good job actually bringing him to life. I"m 100% subscribed now.

It's stuff like this that has been playing in my head since D1 with the Taken King cinematics. And it's why I'm starting to learn how to do animation myself. Great work by you and those that worked with you.
What the hell? This is fantastic. I recognized the scene from one the lore cards. I wish every lore card came with a fantastic cinematic like this. Good job
Warlocks are, canonically and lore wise, the most powerful class. Weakest without the light, strongest with it.
I agree, I say hunters is the weakest class in my opinion
Not quite. They are the most well-versed in the use of the light, but they aren't objectively more powerful. A Fist of Havoc will still knock them out, a Golden Gun will still melt a hole through their heads. They are the most versatile, but raw power isn't tied to class.
They are absolutely the more powerful. A well of light is the most clean source of healing, and warlocks, depending on their subjective power, will absolutely tank anything through it. Just like Zavala could hold a barrage of missles in the red war, a well will heal anything. Warlocks are canonically the most powerful class. It's not a case that Osiris was one.
Everyone involved in this was top notch. I wish you the best of luck at Bungie. You and everyone involved deserves all the good coming your way. Love from India.

Am I the only one that wants a destiny movie series based on all the events that has happened till now? This looks so amazing. Felwinters character was executed so well. Was that felwinters ghost in the back of his helmet? If so that really shows how dark his character is. And hes the fricken son of rasputin
Felwinter has to be the single most interesting risen to exist in the Destiny universe. I always wanted to ser the dark age and the iron lords brought to life. Well done.
The Dark Age and the Warlord-Iron Lord wars and Iron Lords have been my favorite era of Destiny lore since Rise of Iron expanded upon it. You've literally brought a dream of mine to life: to visually see a confrontation. The voice acting, animation, colors and area were amazingly used, you could even tell it was cold as hell in that room. You and everyone that worked on this made a milestone. Congratulations and thanks for sharing this with us
And you saw the confrontation with one of the most famous Warlords! Warlord Citan who would disintegrate people into matter if they tried to get into his keep, if they got in they were safe.
Congratulations on being hired by Bungie! With you on the team I have a feeling the "expanded universe" of Destiny is in safe hands

Congrats on getting hired! This last project looks amazing. You can really feel the tension in the character acting and dialogue. Loving the set design as well. I didn't really imagine this kind of voice for Felwinter but, it dounds very fitting, especially the narration/musing at the end and the awkwardness in the middle. Thsnk you to you and your team for making this 🙏 Really really enjoyed this!
I've been looking down the comments and most say that your now with Bungie.... that's pretty impressive. Your past work seem extraordinary and I'm sure you'll be put to good use, presumably on future animations for D2 and future titles for Bungie. Hope the best for you, probably one of the best jobs in the world at the minute.

We've finally reached the point where fans can make machinima's without having to stick to the game's in-game multiplayer, and have it look just as good, if not better than the cutscenes the developer's make. Excellent job, can't wait to see the rest.

As a massive Felwinter fan, I have to bitch about only one thing here.
We kinda do have a model of what Felwinter may have looked like, from an old sourced unused model during season of the worthy. It was gonna be used during the cutscene where Rasputin tells us his story, but it was replaced by holograms. Still, his semi-canon armor was:
Helmet - we all know.
Armor piece - a modified version of what looked like the Days of iron Raiment armor from the packages back in D1 (it might ne something else, I haven't played D1 until after D2 was released, unfortunately, so I don't know if there's a more appropriate piece)
Arms - Iron Truage set
Legs - Iron Truage set
Bond - Felwinter's Iron Bond from D1.
Aside from that, I love this so much, I wish I could've worked on it myself with you even though I can barely animate at all. I'm so glad Bungie has taken you, like Byf said, and I hope you'll give us some nasty animations like this one now that most of the old guard has been fired.

Amazing works. I always thought Felwinter’s story during Iron Lords time is really interesting. The direction in this is fantastic, focus on the details and great camera works. Love this so much. I’d love Bungie to made this into a full series. Many characters appears in lore already but their story is still left to be told.
