I've heard a few reports that the band was a bit 'off' in this concert. If they were a bit rough, fair enough, but even when this band are a bit off kilter, they are still amazing! They have the songs & James's voice and guitar playing are way above average of the majority of mainstream acts. I found this performance quite moving. Security guy is thinking, Wow, so this what a real band sounds like! Thanks for sharing Ian 🙂
@thepillarsofcreation9170 I hadn't heard that, I've been to 5 gigs on this tour and the only thing I found different at Leeds was the running order! Both bands consistently great and totally agree with your comments!
They're an absolute embarrassment to what they were. The people defending them forget (or more likely weren't even around) when THEY first appeared and were downright disgusting and vicious towards established bands. The worm has turned and JDB sounds like a cabaret singer, Nicky is a skinny man drowning without a polo mint, Shawn is the drummer. It's horrible to see and hear their decline.
@MarcoNegrisEye I've been a fan since 91 and like it or not they effectively became a different band when Richey disappeared. To whinge about that is pretty pointless, we all get older, tastes change and they're now 50-something blokes enjoying playing the music they want to play. If you want to butt into the comments of people who are still enjoying what they're doing then I'd refer you back to that famous unspoken line from Stay Beautiful.....
@@IansGigVideos-tl5pw to bring up the Richey thing/different band is lazy in relation to this particular subject. I'm focussing on the fact that LIVE JDB has not got that voice anymore. Which I FULLY understand. He's aged. It happens. I'll whinge as long I hear another 'Motorcycle Emptiness' chorus sung completely the wrong way (which he's been doing since about 93 to be fair) but also handed over to the crowd cos he ain't got the puff. And that was just one song in particular I used as a point. It's not betraying any code to say they're really shite now. Because they really are shite now 🤷🏻♂️ ps I'll "butt" into wherever I like when it comes to them, I think after the same number of years following them I'm "allowed"? Or should I have asked your permission Hitler?
