Oh boy it’s that time again. Like the last one this one shot goes kinda off the walls and isn’t fully lore accurate.

Hope or Delusion
Pico took in a deep breath as he pulled the trigger in his gun. This caused a loud bang to erupt from the weapon, which followed with a distinct cracking sound.
Pico looked down at his leg to see one of the chains had broken. He couldn’t suppress his smile from his rather straight forward plan working.
Pico then continued to shoot and break the chains. With each one that broke the environment around him began to change. The rain started to slightly die down, The waves began to somewhat calm and the thunder reduced to a distant rumbling.
With the final chain broken Pico stood up and looked up to the sky. As he took the moment to collect his thoughts, one rang louder than all the rest.
“The fuck do I do now?” He said a loud to no one in particular. Pico had been hoping that breaking his chains would allow him to return to the real world. But he supposed that was naive of him to think so.
Pico hadn’t really planned that far ahead all things considered. He was mostly busy stewing in his own turmoil than planning for this potential outcome.
As Pico began looking around for any sort of clue of what to do, something caught his attention. A small golden crack was visible in the deep dark waters below him. It was almost calling out to him, practically yelling freedom was just within reach.
Pico of course hesitated for a moment. He didn’t know for certain that this is what lead to freedom. It could be a trick from the corruption for all he knew. Also could he drown in his own head? It was an understandable concern as he would have to go in very deep.
However with no other clear way forward, he pushed those concerns aside and prepared to go in.
But just as he was about to let himself fall in, a voice appeared just behind him. It sounded similar to himself, but distorted and glitchy.
*”If you go through with this… I hope you know you’re going to regret it”*
Pico just flipped it off in response before falling into the shadowy waters. His eyes quickly closed as he simply allowed himself to sink.
And for a few moments Pico was at relative peace. His mind was quiet as he simply continued to sink deeper and deeper.
Pico opened his eyes to see the light was just within reach. So he extended his arm to reach for it. And just as he did…
Everything came back at once.
His entire body exploded in agonizing pain. His vision was flooded with light. His entire body was trembling as he tried to adjust himself.
One of his hands gripped tightly at his head, he could feel the thick slimy texture of his skin.
His vision was off focus as he could only open one of eyes.
But from what he could see was a familiar figure. It was Mearest from what Pico could deduce from his blurry vision. He couldn’t figure out much else as his mind couldn’t stay focused.
It felt like he was on auto pilot. However Pico could feel the hand holding his gun slowly aim at Mearest.
‘No!’ Pico yelled internally as he forced the hand back down. He wasn’t gonna let the corruption win that easily. He just had to hang on long enough to get it this stuff off.
Just… had… to stay… focused…
*’Oh Pico don’t tell me you thought It’d be this easy? Perhaps I should show you what happens to those who try to play hero.’*
In that moment everything changed. Pico was in a familiar hallway. It was empty expect for him and… a-and…
Pico looked on in horror as he saw the body’s of his friend strung across the hallway. All of them dead from gunshot wounds.
Boyfriend…
Nene…
Darnell…
Even…
Cassandra…
And he was covered in their blood.
No… no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!
This can’t… it’s not… he wouldn’t… h-he didn’t!
He wanted to… that day… he just…
*And yet you killed them all*
…
*Its all your fault*
…
*Murderer*
no…
*Monster*
Stop…
*Weak*
I said stop…!
*You failed them!*
I-I didn’t…!
*YOU FAILED HER!*
That’s… ENOUGH!
A gun raised
It’s aim true
A bullet sang
It’s target through.

Missed the premiere 😢. Amazing video though and let's just hope pico can fight the corruption on him.
I somehow always take several hours to realize whenever you upload.
First here man and I'll probably add timestamps here in the meantime and awesome thumbnail too hopefully pico has the chances to figh back and save mearest before the hechmen he killed and corrupted with the corrupted crowds coming it's way here pico has no time waste and figuring out a plan to save themselves from them including that lemon bastard
W episode, Pico doesnt seem to be uncorrupting more than this, but maybe there will be a difference in d3. Regardless, the sprites and the thumbnail look amazing, everything in this works perfectly and I also really like how Pico got even more chains on him than in og corruption!
