I love Anne's low and raspy Brooklyn accent. It is ASMR, to me. The breathiness and slight quietness to her voice is so soothing and calming to me. Natalie Wood's voice is also very pleasant, imo

I'm so proud that Anne quit smoking by this time in her life. Brava! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 It's been a long time since my dad has touched a cigarette.
Here's to you, Mrs. Robinson, Annie Sullivan, and Miss Bancroft ❤. RIP!

A brilliant Character actress and by all accounts a genuinely lovely woman.

I wish I could meet Anne Bancroft. She's so underrated, people fail to realize that there is so much more to her than just Mrs Robinson. The Miracle Worker, The Pumpkin Eater, The Slender Thread, 7 Women (which in itself is a very underrated film that deserves more recognition), The Turning Point, Prisoner of Second Avenue, Agnes of God etc. Her whole filmography is the definition of legendary. She's so charming and pretty, and she has this husky, soothing voice which is so addictive. Love her.

I agree! She and Natalie Wood had the nicest voices. And thank you for pointing out and recognizing her other movies because all of her other movies deserve the same recognition. I would've added Homecoming because that role was one of her most outstanding performances from this era in the later life of her career.

@@rebeccassweetmusic4632 Yes, Homecoming was really good. It was also a chance to see her speak onscreen in her natural local Bronx accent, instead of the other accents she spoke in.

@@preetakumar6593 She wasn't speaking in her natural accent. Her character, "Gram" or "Abigail Tillerman" was from Maryland and she had to speak in a specific accent. I thought she was supposed to be Southern but then realized that Crisfield Maryland's well-known accent is inspired by Shakespearean English. Elizabethan English. The accent also sounds a little bit like it is inspired by the Irish accent.. czcams.com/video/kEnuI4qzsaA/video.html
