Hi Capt. JC, share ko lang capt. about sa color blind and pilot license. If partially color blind capt possible padin po ata. May certain eye test capt na need gawin sa caap, someone told me po na may case na you have to go sa rooftop ng caap and then the manila tower will use light gun signals to your position. Sa checkride naman daw capt after all the airworks they will go to a tower na may light gun signals din. Hope the info will help others capt! Safe skies po

Hi Capt. Question, does Cebu Pac allow tattoos for pilots? If the tattoo is located after the short sleeve of your uniform, will they allow you to fly wearing long sleeves? Thank you! 😁
To be honest I don't know if they allow that kind of tattoo but in my personal opinion I don't see why not but that is just me and we have to be real and it might have a negative effect during the application. When I was job hunting I always go to the interview in a suit or wearing long sleeves and not even once I was asked if I have a tattoo in any parts of my body, that being said, i have yet also to encounter an airline pilot with full sleeved tattoos. Don't let it discourage you. You might be worrying on something that should not he worried about.

Because even if the demand for pilots were high they cannot just hire all applicant's. they need to select the best of the best among the bunch who can satisfy their minimum requirements.

@@winstondelavega2229 sometimes airline companies hire pilots without an A320 rating and give them the rating in exchange for a longer contract. Airbus A320 is not the only aircraft out there. You can apply to be a pilot for the ATR or Q300/400. you can also apply at General aviation and build your time. The first thing that companies will look at is your Logbook. the more flying time you have reflects your experience in flying and experience in aviation is everything. Experience is king.
As far as I'm know currently you need a type rating in A320 to meet the requirements for Airbus A320 FO. but all hiring in almost all airlines worldwide are freezing the hiring of new employees.

I really want to become a pilot someday but something is holding me back 😔 Can a person undergoing chemotherapy still qualify to become a pilot? 😔😔 I have psoriasis and my doctor only advice me to undergo chemo when I flare up.
AFAIK there is no regulation that prohibits a person to be hired if he has a tattoo but if I have to be brutally honest it will definitely have a negative impact when you are applying for the job. People have different connotations about people with big tattoos but don't let that discourage you from achieving your dream.
@@mlnpyrofx if you need a pilot license, college degree is not a requirement. you can still be hired by private companies as long as you have the experience. Airline companies in the Philippines require their pilots to hold a college degree but it's not the same for all countries. US does not require airline pilots to hold a college degree.

Usually pilots who don't have a type rating in airbus will apply to fly on the ATR fleet then later on when they have seniority and if the demand for pilots in airbus increase, they will be upgraded to the airbus fleet and that will be on company's expense. You don't have to pay for your type rating in airbus if you are already in the company flying the ATR.

This is not a normal thing to happen but it happened before. Either you go to your alternate airport or if not possible then you need to broadcast and talk to other aircraft within the control of that tower and state your intention.
That depends on the company. Currently in my company you need 3000 total worh 1000 on the current type of aircraft. Some c9mapniews require 5000 total. Some count by years. In western countries they spend minimum of 10 years before being promoted to captain.

You need a BS degree if you want to join the airlines. Height requirement will depend on the company but I really don't recall them measuring my height.
sir how about po kung meron mga single at twin turbo engine na mga aircraft dito sa pinas na meron actual flying training. if ever hindi po ako matanggap sa airline, charter turbo engine aircraft po aaplyan ko as company hired pilot. sana po meron sa pinas ng turbo engine training. malaki din po kasi ang salary at bayad per hour for charter services compare to airline.

That will depend on the company but as someone applying in airlines you want your resumé to look good and spotless.

For other companies like in Gen Av or business aviation some if not most companies does not require A BS degree. in the US, A BS degree is not a requirement to be hired in the major airlines..

4year course diploma graduate lng po ba ang tinatangap na pilot ng mga airline dito sa pinas, paano kung graduate lng ng school like STI,AMA,INFORMATICS 2year diploma lng pero nakatapos ng ppl,cpl,ir and atpl?
meron po ba actual flying training ng single and twin turbo engine na mga aviation school sa pinas?
meron po ba minimum height restriction para sa mga male pilot sa cebu pacific,pal and air asia?
You need a BS degree if you want to join the airlines. Height requirement will depend on the company but I really don't recall them measuring my height.
sir how about po kung meron mga single at twin turbo engine na mga aircraft dito sa pinas na meron actual flying training. if ever hindi po ako matanggap sa airline, charter turbo engine aircraft po aaplyan ko as company hired pilot. sana po meron sa pinas ng turbo engine training. malaki din po kasi ang salary at bayad per hour for charter services compare to airline.
There are a lot of companies who have twin engine turboprop planes.
thanks you much capt for that inspiring reply. after this covid pandemic is over, mag eenroll po ako sa aviation school either omni or alpha. and after finishing ppl,cpl,atpl and ir I want to fly those turboprop. I highly appreciate your reply's.
