China is a very vast and diverse country, with the tropics in the far south, the aurora visible in the far north, deserts and plateaus in the far west, and the Pacific Ocean in the far west. Therefore, Chinese food is also very diverse. Some people eat pig brains, chicken feet, and bugs, but many people cannot accept it at all. There is a city called Yulin, where it is normal to eat dog meat, but most Chinese people do not eat it. Also, northerners mostly eat salty tofu curd and noodles, while southerners mostly eat sweet tofu curd and rice. There are 56 ethnic groups in China. All ethnic groups are closely united and all cultures and foods are respected. I don’t eat but I won’t comment casually on what you eat. I believe in Buddhism but I respect your belief in Christianity. It is precisely because of China's cultural tolerance that as a foreigner you will always get respect. I hope what I wrote can give you a better understanding of Chinese food and culture.😄 What you see only represents the local area, not the whole of China. China is really too big and diverse.

@@indigotrekker the food seems weird to you as in India you are limited to potatoes and spices with very little greens whereas in China its myriads of ranges of vegetables and leaves that you folks call ghaas patta as well as non veg items from the land and sea making it far dynamic than any other cuisine. Since you are not familiar, just enjoy the show and ask around rather than commenting on how strange the cuisine is as I am sure north east food will be equally repulsive to you.
