So excited to get all of your opinion on these knit striped sweaters - they are all SO similar until you dive in and see the differences!
Sibbling my size is also a wonderful version. Thank you very much for your podcasts🧡💛💛❤
That’s a great suggestion 😊😊 I appreciate you watching!!!
I like the lion sweater. I like the shoulder
Me too!
I've recently found your channel & love it! I'm definitely thinking of my autumn knitting already! Enjoy your trip away x
So glad you love it here, I’m so happy to have you 🫶🏼 Autumn is on the mind!
Well done. Thanks!
Thank you for watching! Do you have a favorite?
Loved this video! Thank you for creating it & the chart. I think it’s especially great for both newer knitters & those decision fatigue.
Thank you so much for watching! 🫶🏼 I agree, that decision fatigue can get overwhelming.
Love this list and I have several of these sweaters in my queue. This review just got the Olga sweater farther up my queue - not only do I like the yarn weight, I prefer the way the back yoke looks with the stripes. Maybe I'm too picky, but when you look at the back yokes of both garments, it seems the darker color of the Olga hides the increase line that's more visible in the Marseille.
You mentioned your apprehension about knitting the Marseille sweater because it would so 2023/2024. I don't think being dated should be a problem because as you said stripe sweaters are timeless. Not only was Marseille sweater released in 2021, you can look up stripe sweaters from the 90s and different decades and you will see something similar. There's a 90s Eddie Bauer sweater that has a similar look and one from LL Bean with wider stripes.
I love this feedback so much!!! Maybe I will change my mind and make one now 😊
Thanks for making this; it was a helpful comparison! Another one on my list is the Sunde Sweater by November Knits. It's a topdown raglan knit with DK weight yarn. She shows hers with reverse striping (accent color for the body, white for the stripes) which I think is fun, but it would also be lovely in classic Breton colors!
That is gorgeous, I haven’t seen that one before! I may be making a part two in the future so I will add that one for sure!!!
Thanks for the video. I love the stripe hype sweater - the fit and the fun stripes are my vibe!!
You’re welcome! I am lovingggg that one too!!!
Thank you for sharing 😊 I learned alot. Just found your channel am looking forward to your podcast ❤
Aw thank you so much for joining me tonight, I am glad to have you here 🩵
Thank you for doing this comparison. The Lyon sweater is top of my list for stripes because of the shoulder construction.
Agreed, that shoulder construction is just so beautiful. It makes me want to make the poppy tee, too!
@@jacqueismaking me too. Drop shoulders aren’t the most flattering on me. Haven’t tried that shoulder construction yet, but I have yarn for the Eva cardigan which also uses it. That will be my first fall cardigan.
@@24567423ify oooh, I will have to look at the Eva!!
I will definitely do the stripe pipe sweater. I watched Nora make hers and she had me so excited 😂
Agreed. As a bustier person, I think the construction of Eva/Poppy/Lyon is my absolute favorite. It makes the garment look more structured/tailored and the fit is gorgeous. I have already knitted 2 Eva cardigans(I modified the patter to use a different yarn weight/combo) and would probably knit another one and modify the pattern to create something like the Marseille sweater. I love the look of the Marseille and I think it's a great pattern. But for a larger bust, I think I would knit a smaller size and add arm shaping so it is not too bulky under the arms. I also like the shoulder construction of the Olga sweater - so many beautiful patterns.
Hi everybody, I‘d like to draw your attention to three more a bit different striped sweaters:
The Jim Sweater by Paula strickt aka Susanne Müller
The Direction Loop Sweater by Otherloops and
The Sailor Sweater by Anne Ventzel
I already knitted two of them and am currently working on the direction Loop Sweater. All of them are a real joy to knit 😀
Looks like I need to make a part two!!!
Great video! Thanks for comparing these sweaters. 🧶I really like the Marseille, Stripe Hype, and Sweater No. 22 sweaters.
Appreciate you always watching 🫶🏼 also love your top picks!
