- Venturing into a field dominated by Category 1s & 2s, how did I stack up as a Category 3 racer? Took a 3 1/2-hour journey to compete in two races in a single day, starting with this one. Despite a beautiful day, the challenging wind gusts added an extra layer of difficulty. It was undeniably a tough race, but the vibrant atmosphere made it a truly enjoyable and thrilling experience overall. Don't miss out on the action-hit play and let's dive into the race!

Kudos to you and Shawn for not giving up and catching back on. BTW, the rider in the stars and stripes is James Carney. He's a multi-time track national champion / olympian.
Thanks! Oh wow 😲! Never know how strong some of these guys are.
He ended up 3rd
Stars n Stripes that flew up the inside at the 8min 20sec mark is Jamie Carney......Former 2 time Olympian and many US Nat'l Championships.....LEGIT............He warmed up in your race to help cause the selection in my race right after yours.....lol
He ended up 3rd in the race. Seemed like he was just toying with everyone.
@@JasonJuicebeatsMessing yeah he usually is
Another solid video and commentary as always brother....That wind definitely was getting gustier each race, and what's funny, most races, people pulling wasn't trying to run anyone in the gutter. i definitely wasn't complaining.........Good to finally meet you earlier that day..........See you in Newnan and Speedweek.
Preciate it! and great to meet you as well! I'm hoping I can make it out to some races at speed week.
Bro great work in this one. Dangling off the back for as long as you and Shawn did and then to get back on, mannnnn not easy. Tough of you both. Way to hang in there! I love these masters races but they don’t really get any easier. Just smoother and more fluid I’d say. I got my ass handed to me at the masters 35+ out at Valley of The Sun in Phoenix this year (I’m racing age 44 so one year away from being able to do 45+). Plenty of Stars and Stripes and ex state champs in the mix there as well. Looking on the bright side, plenty of things to learn from such experienced riders. Keep it up! 💫👊
Thanks man! That was a tough one. I gotta learn to stay in the mix a bit better so I don't have to use so much energy like that. I've noticed in the last few masters races, these guys might be older, but they still got it. Those races out west look awesome though. I really need to get a travel case and fly out. Looks like lots of hitters out there too.
