What the Germans did during WWII was not something that is common in any war! It was particular to the Germans! It was organized war crimes against civilians with the explicit purpose of destroying the population! Only nazi fan-boys claim that it has happened in any war.
Rubbish? you must be British. You should familiarize yourself with what the Red Army did to the German civilian population once they breached the border of the Reich. Its worse than anything your country did to the Boers which says a lot.@SunnyDaze-uq8ed
In the cover photo, the markings on the German"s uniform indicates he's not a member of the SS. Secondly, the SS was big on keeping in shape. They would never have allowed this soldier to gain such weight. Do your research people!
You are right in principle, as regards the high standards of the SS. However, as the war progressed, they, like the Wehrmacht, were forced to lower their standards. They recruited a Bosnian legion, and conscripted volksdeutsche wholesale, for example in Hungary. Often, those conscripts, although vaguely of german ancestry, couldn't even speak german. There was a world of difference between the SS of 1941 and the SS of 1944. As I understand it, the higher the divisional number of a unit, the lower their quality.
@@_DB.COOPER Martin Borman was a party hack and worked as private secretary to Hitler. He did hold the rank of Obergruppenfuhrer in the SS, but that rank was honorary. Also, the rank was in the Algemeine SS, not the Waffen SS
Both sides on the Eastern Front in WW2 enacted horrific war crimes on one another and the non combatants. Both sides were encouraged by their supreme commanders, Hitler and Stalin to regard the enemy and their non combatants as sub human and worthy only of extinction. There were also many horrific war crimes carried out by both the Allies and the Germans on the western front but not on the same frequency!
Germans paid it whit interest. Because the russians entered themselves for 50 years in Germany. Oh btw Russian women also enjoyed having German soldiers as their farm laborers
Sounds like typical SOVIET behaviour. Interesting thing, as far as SS really had been involved in these crimes: Most cruel SS members usually had been Polish and Russian SS volunteers. The author of this video obviously didn't understand the international approach of SS volunteer enlistment.
The photo at 5:03 of the SS Totenkopf soldiers...those guys had been "there" Eastern Front photo.
The Soviets did the same to Germanic war survivors - even the Swedes who were neutral just because they looked German.
This is common in any war… it is rare that this does not happen in any war

Im sure you will do a story on the atrocities of the Red Army in East Prussia, Pomerania, Brandenburg, Saxony and Silesia.

This is obviously Soviet propaganda. These are the things the Soviets did along with the Siberian soldiers.
Anybody can say anything. Do you have any evidence of the source of this information or is your problem that it just doesn't it fit your prejudices.
